Heat is distributed to the district heating customers through pipes with water as a heat carrier. The district heating system is complex. To decide what is leakages from the district heating net versus what is the water consumption of the plant, is difficult. Therefore, the purpose of this master thesis is to establish a model where the district heating net?s leakages but also the water consumption of the plant can be followed daily. The project is performed at Vattenfall´s district heating power plant in Uppsala. Information is gathered through discussions, drawings of the plant and guided tours of the plant.

AbstractThe aim of this essay is to analyse the effects of women's representation on actual political outcome. Quantitative method and materials are used to study the consequences of women's political participation in Swedish municipals.Many theorists think that women have special interests, different from men?s, which is also the belief of this essay. This political interest is here defined as freedom from discrimination and violence against women. In order to see if this interest is present in local policy it is transformed into variables concerning whether the local authority has an equality plan, supports a local shelter for abused women and by how much money it supports women's shelter.

Individualisering är ett idag mycket omdiskuterat ämne som finns reglerat i läroplanen för det obligatoriska skolväsendet, Lpo94. Utifrån denna reglering och de kunskaper som idag finns om individers olika förkunskaper, egenskaper och förutsättningar har vi valt att som huvudsyfte med denna studie kartlägga och analysera läraruppfattningar om individualisering vid två skolor, samt att undersöka skillnader och likheter mellan dessa läraruppfattningar. För att finna material och få svar på våra frågeställningar har vi genomfört två kvalitativa intervjuer och enkätundersökningar på de två skolor där dessa pedagoger är yrkesverksamma. Resultaten har vi sammanställt, bearbetat och analyserat genom att använda ett interaktionistiskt perspektiv. En grundtanke inom interaktionismen är att individen är en social och aktiv person som lär i samspelet tillsammans med andra individer.

How much weight is put on the virtual identity and what does recruiters look for when the look someone up on the internet. Personal interviews with recruiters were done in six different media companies in Stockholm to find out how they used social media when searching and employing new employers.

Syftet med min undersökning var att undersöka Esther Ellqvists situation att verka som kvinnlig konstnär kring sekelskiftet 1900. Jag har utgått från ett genusperspektiv och med hjälp av litteratur och brev från brevsamlingen på Jönköpings läns museum har jag övergripande försökt kartlägga hennes liv som konstnär och kvinna. Med hjälp av mitt material har jag studerat henne i en samhällelig kontext.Jag har undersökt hur hennes uppväxt och sociala kapital påverkat hennes situation.Med hjälp av Pierre Bourdieus teori om socialt kapital och genom att kartlägga hennes liv som konstnär och kvinna i samhället i Sverige runt sekelskiftet 1900, har jag funnit aspekter som påverkat Esthers förutsättningar att som kvinna nå framgång inom det konstnärliga fältet. De rådande konventionerna om hur en gift kvinna, även ogift, förväntades vara och sysselsätta sig tycks till viss del ha hindrat henne. I breven har jag även funnit en osäkerhet och tveksamhet från henne själv angående sitt konstutövande.Esther Ellqvist föddes 1880 på landsbygden i Skåne.

The purpose of the study was to examine what possibilities and obstacles, according to the personnel and patients in a methadone treatment, exist in the patient's social rehabilitation. How does the methadone treatment encourage the patient's social rehabilitation, what possibilities/obstacles are there according to personnel and patients? What does the patient see as important aspects of his/her social rehabilitation and what importance does the methadone have on the treatment? The results show that there are difficulties for patients to rebuild their life, find employment, start new social networks and get by with everyday tasks. The support from friends and family will simplify the patient's social rehabilitation, otherwise they get isolated and alone. Patients feel that they are fighting for a successful treatment so that they can have a relationship with friends and families again.

To introduce a standardized component assortment takes a lot of effort in order to make real cost savings. The rationalization effect itself is important, but perhaps even more important is to state the aim of the standardization efforts in a well-defined way. How can an organization assure that they are working in a proper way? How do they know that their efforts are being interpreted into the whole organization? And, how do they know that the standardization efforts actually save money? Different components differ heavily e.g. in technical complexity and quality issues.

The purpose of this essay was to explore how the first-line managers in eldercare motivate their employees. In addition, we intend to study how the first-line managers acquire their leadership skills. To find answers to this purpose, we asked ourselves the questions; how acquires first line managers knowledge of how to motivate their employees? What is the first-line manager?s perception of motivation against their employees? The method we used was qualitative interviews with eight first-line managers in elderly care in Stockholm area. The results were analyzed by using two theories, Maslow?s hierarchy of needs and Hertzberg's two factor theories.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur pedagoger i förskolan beskriver sitt arbete med barnen vid utevistelse samt hur pedagogerna ser på utevistelsens betydelse för barns lärande. I studien studeras vilka styrdokument förskolan arbetar med i utevistelsen, hur pedagoger beskriver sina planerade aktiviteter med barn utomhus och hur pedagoger upplever att de kan utveckla utevistelsen. Deweys tankar om hur barn lär sig genom att praktiskt tillämpa kunskaper i utevistelsen beskrivs också.  Intervjuer av fyra pedagogers syn på utevistelse genomfördes. I resultatredovisningen analyseras likheter och skillnader mellan pedagogernas svar.

This means she can?t leave her house, and her last days become very limited.Why do we act like this?Can the view we have of products adapted for disabled be changed by working with colour, texture, form and materials?There are many products adapted for disabled, the products often have a good function and well developed ergonomic aspects but the visual aspect leaves a lot to wish for. There is neither effort nor money put in to the exterior design of most of these products.A lot of the solutions that are invented for adapted products can be used in design of ?regular? products.Why should we then divide products in to adapted and non-adapted.

The establishment of loan-based structures within a group of associated enterprises with the purpose of lowering the group's taxes by using deductible interest payments to transfer money has become increasingly popular in Sweden during the past few years. The legislator has therefore implemented new laws which restrict the amount of interest payments that are deductible within a group of associated enterprises. As a consequence the definition of associated enterprises has become of high importance. The definition has been criticized and is perceived by many as vague and difficult to interpret. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the definition of associated enterprises in Swedish tax law with the aim of clarifying its scope and meaning.

This dissertation deals with two sports clubs and their operational development between the years 1946-1998. The research was made by a qualitative analysis of the annual reports and protocols that the clubs produced between 1946-1998. The two clubs are IFK Växjö and Växjö BK which are located in Växjö in Sweden. Our main purpose with this study was to analyze the operational development and in which way elitist drive affects the voluntary society content and culture. Results indicated that if a sports club starts with elitist sport it could have a bad impact on the voluntary sector.

By studying literature concerning design, didactics and reflection, and complementing those explorations with interviews with experienced design educators, this thesis challenges the idea of aesthetic media education being purely aesthetic in its characteristics. Drawing from their own experiences as a media aesthetics educator and an industrial designer, the two authors argue that the work flow used within most fields of design, commonly known as the design process, might provide a suitable didactic alternative to a field of education lacking relevant methodology. The literature study offers a better understanding of the design process and how it may be defined and viewed within an educational context. The interviews provide a more practical insight into the world of design education. The result shows that the design process as a didactical method theoretically offers both elements of critical thinking as well as direction and frames for students lacking aesthetic and artistic experience.

Den här uppsatsen analyserar och jämför olika konflikttransformerande organisationer som verkat i Nordirland och genom detta ges möjlighet att på så vis ta reda på om det skett en konflikttransformation eller ej? Analysen utgår från John Paul Lederach teorier kring fredsbyggande modeller. Jag kommer använda mig av två modeller, den ena är en pyramid över samhället, där det politiska toppskiktet ligger högst och gräsrotsnivån ligger i botten. Den andra är en modell över förflyttningen från ett stadium av konfliktövergång till en fullständig transformation av konflikten. Vidare kommer jag ta fram vilket arbete, metoder samt vilken målgrupp de konflikttransformerande organisationerna har använt.
