With the collapse of the Soviet Union and the 9/11 attacks, the landscape of the freedom of religion has changed. The issues now facing freedom of religion varies greatly from the issues that the drafters of the universal declaration of human rights faced after World War II.In the light of the new issues that States face in the intersection of religion and societal interest, scholars have criticized the European Court of Human Rights to give too much leeway to the States in determining how the human rights should be implemented, by using the doctrine of margin of appreciation. Critics of the margin of appreciation claim that it is based on culture relativism and that the doctrine undermines the universality of the human rights. In order to decide if the margin of appreciation has indeed led to a relativization of the human rights I compared it to the jurisprudence of the UN Human Rights Committee and its use of the Syracusa principles. My conclusion is that the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights cannot be considered to be based on culture relativism.

I uppsatsen analyseras remissförslaget till den nya skollagen (Ds 2009:25) samt Barnkonventionen med avsikt att formulera och jämföra hur föräldrar och stat positioneras gällande barnets fostran. Analysen syftar till att belysa likheter och skillnader mellan de båda texterna. Detta sker utifrån ett diskursanalytiskt perspektiv där subjektspositioner är ett nyckelbegrepp i analysen, samt med hjälp av politisk filosofi. Det filosofiska materialet är hämtat från John Rawls, Alasdair MacIntyre samt nutida utbildningsforskning främst representerat av Tomas Englund. De politiska filosofierna bidrar till utmejslandet av tre diskurser funna i den nya skollagen och Barnkonventionen.Dessa diskurser är de stödjande subjektens diskurs vilken är den dominerande diskursen i de båda texterna och i vilken barnet självt ges ansvar för sin utveckling; denna diskurs ligger nära John Rawls politiska teorier.

?Liberal Democracy? is a common term in political theory, and it is used as if it had a commonly accepted referent, with both normative and descriptive content. This is certainly the case in democratic theory, where it on the one hand seems to refer to a normative democratic model; on the other hand it is used descriptively, to refer to real-life democracies. The deliberative democratic sub-field is not an exception; on the contrary, the term is frequently used albeit rarely defined; yet the concept it refers to is supposedly developed enough to allow detailed propositions about its citizens?s political behaviour.This essay is an attempt to analyze how Liberal Democracy is used by three deliberative democrats (Jürgen Habermas, John Dryzek and Stephen Elstub), in order to understand the democratic model (or models), whether normative or descriptive, they refer to.

The background to this paper is the fact that many products are demonstrated to show the consumer value of the product. This is generally the fact when it comes to agricultural products, such as tractors. The growing number of models makes this even more import for the retailer to perform a demonstration that really catches the interest of a prospect customer. This bachelor thesis is a study about the change of the classificationsystems in Swedish libraries. The empirical data was collected through four qualitative interviews with both research and public libraries. The data was analyzed by the use of organizational theory based upon Joacim Hanssons book Libraries and identity: the role of institutional self-image and identity in emergence of new types of libraries. The empirical result points to a major change in how libraries and librarians look and work with their collections, it can also be said that the librarians do not seem to think that the users will be affected at all.The analysis was based on these issues: What positive and negative effects introducing DDC will there be on research- reflective public libraries?What will be the effects on the librarysector introducing the new classification system DDC?What will be the effects on the users introducing the new classification system DDC? .

Den här uppsatsen började som något helt annat. En studie över vad egentligen sekter är. Ju längre undersökningarna fortskred desto mer likhetstecken började jag se med ett något helt annat. Jag har varit försäljare i Tupperware i 5 år och det var i detta företag jag hittade likheterna med sekterna jag läste om. Kan det verkligen vara så att Tupperware är en sekt? Det är det vi ska ta reda på med hjälp av olika forskare och deras teorier..

Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka hur olika lärare inom grundskolan kan organisera och planera ett ämnesintegrerat arbetssätt och hur det ämnesintegrerade arbetssättet kan främja elevernas lärande och utveckling. Bakgrunden är att samhället har utvecklats och blivit styrt av mål, resultat och individualisering. Vilket har gjort samhället till ett kunskapssamhälle som i sin tur påverkat lärarrollen. Lärarna ska sträva efter att i undervisningen balansera och integrera kunskaper i sina olika former. Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ studie med metoden intervjuer.

I den här uppsatsen behandlas det könsneutrala pronomenet hen, som har debatterats livligt under 2012. Tidigare studier har visat att ordet främst är etablerat i hbtq- och feministkretsar och att det framför allt fyller en funktion i att problematisera kön. Uppsatsens syfte är att närmare beskriva betydelser och funktioner för ordet hen samt att undersöka huruvida ordet i dag förekommer i kontexter som inte är direkt knutna till feministisk eller hbtq-relaterad verksamhet.Uppsatsens teoridel behandlar feministisk språkteori och språkvårdsteori, främst enligt Cameron (1992) och Pauwels (1998; 2003). Här redogörs också för bakgrunden till ordet hen samt några av de queerteoretiska och skrivtekniska motiv som har anförts för att införa ett könsneutralt pronomen.I studien analyseras användningen av hen i 100 bloggtexter och 100 tidnings­texter, dvs. 200 belägg, från hösten 2012 utifrån morfosyntaktiska, funktionella och kontextuella perspek­tiv.

Detta arbete har för avsikt att beskriva vad en inlärningsstil är utifrån Dunn och Prashnigs modell.Lärandet delas upp i olika områden där detta arbete lagt särskild vikt vid den fysiska miljöns betydelse. Jag har tagit upp tre etablerade pedagoger Dewey, Bruner och Skinner och deras syn på inlärning. Detta för att se om det Dunn och Prashnig talar om är något som även tidigare uppmärksammats som viktiga faktorer vid lärande.Arbetet undersöker hur eleverna själva tror att de lär sig bäst. Där fann jag bl.a. att det fanns ett behov av att röra på sig, att äta och dricka under arbetet och att många förespråkade ett svalt klassrum.

 The 2008 U.S. Presidential Elections were in many ways special, where the USA got its first president of Afro-American origin, Barack Obama. The elections will also be historical since the great use of social medias - as the community Facebook, the video sharing site YouTube and web based diaries, blogs - broke through during the campaigns. This study's purpose was to examine how a few members of the Swedish parliament described the result of the Presidential Elections in their blogs. The main question - how the election results were described in the blogs - was divided into three themes, created on the basis of the blog's content.

The Defence against Globalization??In the modern world globalization have undermined the nation-state and left it without the right measurements to adequately deal with the social and economic unrest that follows in its way. The states, built on contract theories, have an obligation to protect its citizens from the state of nature which seems to have failed as globalization has changed the rules.The purpose of this dissertation is to examine the contract theories of Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Jean-Jacques Rousseau and John Rawls to identify the elements of a state and create a modern and ideal contract theory. The treaty shall then be used on the Treaty of Lisbon as it can be seen as a contract between the European states to create an entity in the shape of the European Union with the power to defend Europe from the unrest created by globalization.My question for this was as follows:Is the new treaty for the European Union acceptable as a new social contract according to the social contract theories?During my research the following criteria?s for a social contract was found:1.

Three main questions give the fundamental structure for this master thesis: 1) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the following theologians respectively; David P. Scaer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Wolfhart Pannenberg? 2) In what way is the notion of law being perceived in the encyclical Veritatis Splendor? 3) Which similarities and divergences can be found in the respective expositions of the notion of law?For the purpose of comparison, I have employed four questions of analysis. These are: A) What is ?the law?? B) Is the law being effected, or is it working, in the world and if so - in what ways and for what purposes is it meant to serve? C) Does human beings have any capacities to understand and/or live in accordance to the law? D) Does the Gospel, perceived as the earthly life, actions, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, effect any alteration with respect to the purpose, range, function or interpretation of the law?In order to better understand Roman-Catholic concepts of law, the treatise on law of Thomas Aquinas Summa Theologica is briefly presented.

Studien vill belysa hur begreppet reflektion kan fo?rsta?s i en dramapedagogisk kontext och sta?ller sig fra?gan om reflektion kan fo?rsta?s som na?got annat a?n en verbal kognitiv process. Uppsatsen behandlar teoretiska perspektiv pa? reflektionsbegreppet och relaterar genom abduktion dessa till ett empiriskt material i fo?rsta hand besta?ende av tva? deltagande observationer.

Läroplanen är föränderlig över tid och har kunnat återspegla sin samtid samhällets rådande grundintentioner. Piaget, Dewey och Vygotskij har alla påverkat den svenska läroplanens utformning på olika sätt och skapat olika förutsättningar och svårigheter för individen och dennes utveckling. En undersökning som byggde på 15 lärares upplevelser fokuserade på huruvida den senaste läroplanen skapade problem för eleverna och hur de i så fall uttrycktes. Resultaten visade att läroplanen i sig inte var den avgörande, utan att yttre faktorer såsom media, samhällets struktur och föräldrar hade en större betydelse för hur eleverna fungerade i skolan. Flera lärare kommenterade nya fenomen som råare attityder mellan flickor, lustbarn och starkt präglad individualism vilka alla kan ses som vidare underlag för framtida forskning..

Uppsatsens syfte är att få en förståelse för hur pedagoger arbetar med musik tillsammans med barn i åldern ett till åtta år. Resultatet erhölls genom kvalitativa intervjuer med åtta pedagoger. Undersökningen visade att pedagogerna tycker det är viktigt att använda musik tillsammans med yngre barn, men hur musik används i verksamheten varierade. Av resultatet framgick också att pedagogerna anser att musik är en artefakt i barns språkliga respektive motoriska utveckling. Litteratur som tagits fram för uppsatsen stärker pedagogernas svar.
