The purpose of this paper is to examine how contemporary attitudes towards death andsexuality is made visible and connected in the vampire novels Interview with the Vampire andDead Until Dark. The aim is to investigate why the vampire novel has reached today?samount of popularity and if it can be explained by theories of death and sexuality in modernsociety and in popular culture.The most important theories in this examination are Zygmunt Bauman?s theories aboutmodern society, Jean Baudrillard?s thoughts about death in the postmodernity and MichelFoucault?s studies regarding sexuality in the Western societies. The conclusion presented isthat sexuality and death are well connected in the examined novels and in popular culture as awhole and death?s popularity in popular culture could be a result of repressed emotionsregarding death and sorrow, which can be helped by us working on handle death more visiblyand with higher regard..

Syftet med vårt arbete var att undersöka om barnens skrivintresse kunde påverkas positivt genom att de fick skapa egna bildarbeten som de sedan fick skriva till. Eftersom skrivning är så viktigt och för att vi båda känner starkt för bildämnet har vi valt att integrera bild och skrivning, då vi ville undersöka om bilden är nyckeln till en ökad motivation och glädje inför skrivandet på ett kreativt sätt. Vi har hämtat tankegångar från främst Freinet, Piaget och Vygotskij samt kopplat våra tankar till styrdokumenten och annan litteratur. Undersökningen genomfördes under sju veckor i en fjärdeklass. Resultatet mättes genom enkäter, observationer och intervjuer.

Med denna studie har jag undersökt om och på vilket sätt svenskundervisningen i grundskolan har förändrats utifrån Lgr 80 och Lpo 94, både vad gäller lärares erfarenheter och åsikter om eventuell förändring i undervisningssättet samt i kursplanstexter. Vad gäller Lpo 94 är det de reviderade kursplanerna från 2000 som studerats och jämförts med Lgr 80. Tre lärare med olika bakgrund och med erfarenhet från undervisning i de båda kursplanerna har intervjuats och deras svar jämförts med varandra. Resultatet av intervjuerna visade att lärarna anser sig äga en större frihet att lägga upp sin undervisning utifrån Lpo 94 samt att Lpo 94 sätter eleven som individ i fokus. Lärarna påpekar också vikten av erfarenhet i sina yrken.

I detta examensarbete har jag studerat hur omgivningen, det vill säga lärare och föräldrar, upplever att fem skolbarn i grundskolans lågstadium har utvecklats under ett år med FMT. För att kunna göra det har jag skriftligen frågat några av barnens lärare samt barnens föräldrar/vårdnadshavare hur de ser på barnens utveckling. Jag har ställt den öppna frågan, hur har x utvecklats, i dina ögon, under året med FMT? och jag har bett respondenterna att tolka begreppet utveckling som de själva vill. Alla respondenter har blivit erbjudna att få se ett videosammandrag av barnens utveckling i FMT under året.

This essay captures the process toward a democratic transition in South Africa and tempts on analyzing the efforts made by civil society before the negotiation with the government in the beginning of the 90´s. The method used is a case study.By applying the theory of Elisabeth Jean Wood about the importance of continued mobilization, I try to answer the question: to what extend did civil society influence the democratization process. The focus of the study lies on the years of intensified popular mobilization, from the start of the 80´s until the beginning of the 90´s.The results following this study shows that COSATU, Congress of South African Trade Unions) and ANC(African National Congress) played both a crucial role for the democratization process in South Africa. UDF, however played a role in the process, but not in the same significant way that COSATU and ANC..

Is the Swedish author Stig Dagerman an existentialist? This work takes a close look at Dagerman?s novel Island of the Doomed to see if it is possible to consider it an expression of existentialist thinking and to see if it interacts with any specific existentialist tradition. Dagerman?s novel was compared with select works of five existentialist thinkers ? Søren Kierkegaard, Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus and Karl Jaspers, all read in the light of the four categories of existentialistic thinking identified by the Swedish scholar Lennart Koskinen. All the four categories appeared to be central themes within the novel and a few subcategories were identified.

Arbetet kommer att behandla teorier från Vygotskij och Piaget och ha en teo­retisks utgångspunkt i ett kontextuellt perspektiv. En bakgrund till begreppet tid, barn och matematik kopplat till tid, pedagogens roll och arbetssätt och styrdokumenten kommer även redovisas. I vår studie har tolv barn blivit intervjuade om deras uppfattning om tid.

BAKGRUND: En oarbetad sorg kan leda till svårigheter senare i livet. Enligt forskningen sörjer även små barn. Det är viktigt att förskollärare har kunskap om hur barn reagerar i sorg och hur bemötandet bör ske då barn idag vistas en stor del av sin vardag på förskolan.SYFTE: Vi vill genom vår studie undersöka vilken beredskap ett antal förskollärare i för-skolan har ifall ett eller flera barn drabbas av sorg efter dödsfall och hur man menar att situa-tionen och beredskapen påverkar förskollärarnas arbetssätt.METOD: Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ undersökning där vi har intervjuat 7 verksamma förskollärare. Vi har i vår undersökning haft hermeneutiken som ansats och som teoretisk utgångspunkt har vi valt Piaget och Vygotskijs teorier angående barns utveckling.RESULTAT: Det råder en viss osäkerhet kring rutinerna när det gäller barn i sorg. För-skollärarna innehar en viss erfarenhet av barn i sorg och samtliga förskollärare har en hand-lingsplan i beredskap om en akut situation inträffar.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine teachers? perception of communication in the Mathematics lesson. I wanted to find out how teachers look at communication as a didactic manner and how they view their role in encouraging communication and discussion during the Mathematics lesson and what communication can contribute to students? learning in Mathematics, according to their beliefs. I have chosen a qualitative approach; I have interviewed six Mathematics teachers working in three different schools.

Detta arbete har vi skrivit för att vi ville lära oss mer om på vilket sätt lärare förhåller sig till elevernas etik och moralutveckling i skolans verksamhet. I bakgrunden har vi beskrivit olika forskares syn på barns och ungdomars moralutveckling. Vi har studerat vad som uttrycks i grundskolans läroplan angående etik och moral och även tittat på vikten av att ha en väl förankrad yrkesetik. För att ta reda på hur man arbetar med detta i skolan har vi gjort en kvalitativ intervjustudie med sammanlagt sex stycken yrkesverksamma lärare på två olika skolor. Vårt resultat påvisar vikten av att ha en positiv skolanda för att eleverna skall bli trygga som individer och utveckla ett kritiskt tänkande.

Therefore, the purpose of the study to investigate whether and in what ways some pedagogues experiences and practice offers the individualized instruction that the governing documents require. The study is based on a qualitative method in the form of semi-structured interviews and observations with four experienced pedagogues. I have been using Piaget's theory of the concrete material's importance for learning and also Vygotsky's theory of the proximal development zone. The results showed that pedagogues understand the importance of individualized instruction.

The aim of this study is to analyse how pornography is used in the American comics X-Men, published by Marvel under the authorship of Chris Claremont.I have applied Butler and MacKinnons theories about pornography as a performative speech, to this special art form. I have also investigated how censorship has influenced the comics evolution and whether it has affected the way women and sexual and ethnical minorities are represented. To corroborate how these theories apply, I have analysed three main female fig-ures in The X-Men comics - Storm, Phoenix and Shadowcat - and I have tried to identify how they relate to existing stereotypes.The conclusion of this essay is that the women characters in X-Men break the existing stereo-types and create new implications. This reinforces Butler?s theory about the possibility to re-verse hate speech and diminishes MacKinnons perspective of pornography as an imperative..

Vårt arbete handlar om huruvida leken finns och används som redskap kopplat till lärandet med klasser med barn med behov av särskilt stöd. Vi har genomfört observationer i tre olika klasser och samtalat med respektive pedagoger, vi har även läst relevant litteratur bl.a. om Stern, Piaget och Vygotskij. Vår tes är att pedagogerna i klasser med barn med behov av särskilt stöd tar hjälp av leken som pedagogiskt verktyg för att stimulera och lära eleverna. Syftet är att belysa leken och koppla det till lärande, genom att besöka tre klasser med barn med behov av särskilt stöd.
