IASB is currently working with the replacement of IAS 39 Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement. The new standard IFRS 9 Financial Instruments is said to be based on principles as opposed to the more rules-based IAS 39. This thesis examines the third phase of the project regarding micro hedge accounting. The expressed goal from IASB is to provide more useful hedge accounting information by reducing complexity of the standard. To examine the potential effects of the transition from the rules based IAS 39 to the more principles based IFRS 9, we have performed a case study on a major Swedish bank.

Examensarbetet är utfört hos Aaro Systems AB, som säljer ett datasystem som hanterar bokslut, redovisning och konsolidering av ekonomisk data för koncerner. En del av detta system är ett web-gränssnitt där man kan generera och manipulera ekonomiska rapporter. Min uppgift var till en början att undersöka hur detta gränssnitt kunde anpassas för att visas på mobila enheter. Det visade sig dock fungera bättre än väntat utan några störremodifikationer så efter en vecka omdefinierade vi min uppgift till att utveckla ett övervakningssystem för kundernas applikationsservrar. Varje kund hos Aaro kör sin egen applikationsserver på plats.

Fjärrstyrning av värmepumpar är en bekvämlighet för att slippa vara på plats och ändå kunna göra inställningar på sin värmepump. Det ger möjligheten att komma till ett förvärmt fritidshus eller stuga med några enkla knapptryckningar. Det ger också möjligheten till mer kontroll över pumpens energiförbrukning, man kan spara in pengar på att inte låta pumpen stå och slösa energi då man inte är på plats.I dagsläget finns flera fjärrstyrningsprodukter för värmepumpar på marknaden, men dessa är ofta dyra och kan oftast bara ansluta till mobilnätet eller wifi. Fjärrstyrningsprodukterna är speciellt framtagna för att styra en värmepump och kan ej användas för att styra ytterligare produkter.Målet med detta examensarbete är att ta fram ett system baserat på en standardplattform som åtgärdar dessa problem samt där det finns möjlighet till framtida utbyggnad av dess funktionalitet.Vi börjar med att bestämma funktionaliteten för vår fjärrstyrningsprodukt. Därefter tas en struktur för hela systemet fram.

This is an analysis of how the Swedish newspapers Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladet and the English newspapers The Independent and The Guardian reported about the sexual molestation and rape charges that were alleged against the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in August 2010. Through a critical discourse analysis, a theme- and proposition analysis and a process analysis this paper aims to investigate how the above mentioned newspapers create reality in their articles. The purpose is to shed light upon with what means the journalists through the inherited structures of the newspaper illustrate actions and events, how they let other people get visible in the text and who is described as responsible for current events.    The results of the analysis shows that Aftonbladet uses a relatively large amount of propositions and speech cues to create an image of the reality that is almost explicitly angled. Dagens Nyheter and The Independent claims a higher degree of objectivity and through micro themes with different perspectives and few explicit statements they create a reality with plenty of room for the reader to make her own conclusions. The Guardian creates an image of the world where the Wikileaks is a great force of democracy and where actions are performed by humans as well as by objects and organizations.   .

Detta examensarbete syftar till att utveckla en grundläggande GPS- applikation med funktionerna från GIS ?programvaran Cadcorp SIS i botten. Dels att utreda val av lämplig hårdvara och dels att utveckla mjukvaran. Dessa funktioner görs åtkomliga i utvecklingsmiljön med hjälp av ActiveX ? komponenten CadCorp SIS.

Gene technology has become more and more attractive in plant breeding during the last twenty years. This is probably because it can readily improve the existing commercial cultivars that have only one or a few drawbacks by modifying one or a few genes without changing the main genetic constitution. In this regard, gene technology is more effective than conventional breeding.The aim of this project was to analyze the fruit quality of the non-transgenic apple scion ?Jonagold? grafted on non-transgenic and rolB-transgenic apple rootstocks. The rootstocks used were M9-rolB1, M9-rolB2, M26-rolB and non-transgenic controls M9 and M26.

Transdermal drug delivery, besides painfulinjections with syringes, has long been associatedwith small size particle pharmaceuticals, which candiffuse through the skin. This method of drugadministration has only been applicable on a smallnumber of drugs, where active molecules are smalland delivery time should or can be long.Other drug delivery options are oral administrationand injection with hypodermic needles (ordinaryhospital syringes). In oral administration thestomach and liver tend to dissolve the drug and theeffect becomes more difficult to anticipate, anddrug delivery rates difficult to control. Hypodermicneedles are used as a mean of drug injectiondirectly into the bloodstream. This method ispainful and risks infection due to tissue damageand skin penetration.One way to get a painless non-damaging techniquewith high delivery rate that still can delivery largemolecules is to manufacture an array of microscopichollow needles and equip them with a pumping unitthat delivers the correct amount of drugs.This thesis shows the technique and possibility ofmanufacture micromachined needles using low costtechniques of Ion Track Technology (radiation ofheavy ions creates porous materials), electrolessdeposition (non-current activated wet chemistrymethod of depositing metal) and electroplating.

Behovet av mängden grafiska detaljer i spel och realtidsapplikationer ökar i och med intåget av nyare och kraftfullare hårdvara. Detta sätter mera press på grafiker. Det finns ett behov av att simplifiera processen med att flytta stora datamängder från olika editorer (Maya, 3dsMAX, Blender, mm), processa denna information och presentera det på skärmen utan att låsa sig fast vid en specifik editor. COLLADA är ett steg mot detta mål. Hur kan COLLADA implementeras i grafikmotorn AgentFX, utvecklad av Agency9? Detta examensarbete presenterar ett tillvägagångssätt genom Java och COLLADA med JAXB att implementera stöd för COLLADA i AgentFX, för att rendera komplexa scener byggda i Maya Unlimited 6.5.

Den  ökande  risken  för  att  drabbas  av  dataintrång  ställer  allt  högre  krav  på datoranvändarens medvetenhet om de risker  och hot  som idag föreligger  i nätverk och  på  Internet.  En  väldigt  stor  del  av  datoranvändare  installerar  inte  alltid  de senaste  uppdateringarna  då  de  tillgängliggörs  och  detta  medför  att  systemen  som saknar dessa viktiga uppdateringar blir extra sårbara för hot från angripare.Tekniska  sårbarhetsanalyser  kan  vara  hjälpsamma  för  att  på  ett  smidigt  sätt uppskatta  potentiella  risker  och sårbarheter  i  ett  befintligt  informationssystem. En stor  fördel  med  många  av  dagens  sårbarhetsverktyg  är  att  de  till  stor  del  är automatiserade  och  således  inte  kräver  allt  för  djupa  kunskaper  för  att  använda, samt att de är relativt enkla att implementera.I  den  här  rapporten  har  säkerheten  i  Windows  7  och  tre  populära  programvarorundersökts.  De  tre  programvarorna  som  låg  till  grund  för  undersökningen  varOracle  Java,   Adobe  Flash  och  Adobe  Reader.  För  att  utvärdera  säkerheten  har  vi genomfört  sårbarhetsanalyser  i  syfte  att  kontrollera  hur  systemets  säkerhet påverkas,  dels  vid  installation  av  nya  programvaror,  men  även  i  systemets  skede före-  och  efter  viktiga  säkerhetsuppdateringar  .   Enklare  penetrationstester  har även genomförts  för att påvisa några av de identifierade sårbarheterna och hur de kan utnyttjas för att få full åtkomst till kritiska delar av systemet.Resultaten  i  rapporten  visar  att  det  är  väldigt  viktigt  att  datoranvändare kontinuerligt uppdaterar sina installerade programvaror och sitt operativsystem för att minska riskerna för dataintrång..

Internet and social networks have become important features in today?s society. We spend numerous hours on browsing and communicating through these platforms. This development has also led to a shift of power from businesses to consumers. Today?s consumers have more control of if, when and what messages they are exposed to.

Glycerol is essential for the lipid metabolism of both plants and animals. Glycerol is formed in the rumen by hydrolysis of lipids from the feed. Glycerol is also a by-product from the production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil and other fat sources. Glycerol might be used as a dietary glucose precursor for dairy cows in similar ways as propylene glycol. Due to increased production of biodiesel more glycerol has been available to a lower price.

This thesis was commissioned by Volvo Powertrain, where manufacturing and assembling of transmissions is performed, which is used in the company's trucks and buses. The thesis has consisted of a case study that intends to study the problem areas in the current proposed activities and continuous improvements in the assembly department in the Volvo Powertrain facility.In the current situation, the proposals that are submitted by the employees suggest mainly minor improvements. The proposals concern for example, labelling of materials boxes and holders for tools, which do not generate any significant profit for the company. Directors and executives want an increased amount of proposals with a more results-oriented type, in terms of reduced costs, time consumption and stops, and improved quality. The company would also deal with the problems that arise when implementing improvements in the production.

Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) is a way to graphically draw a diagram of a business process. A BPMN diagram consists of several so-called flow objects. These are interconnected in the graph through sequence  flows. BPMN models are merely graphical representations of business process and there is a need to simulate these diagrams for different purposes. The simulation that now is available for BPMN is that the model is evaluated by checking if it is correct.

The trend of social media is a global hit and now both individuals, businesses, celebrities and politicianshave their own social media pages, which means that the visibility increases and focus lies on what'swritten and published by the person. Mediated communication are everywhere around us and affects theway we communicate with each other and also the way we look at ourselves and most importantly how weportray ourselves. The individual's perspective has become a relevant issue with the rapid moderndevelopment. One's cultural identity can be seen as a life-long project.The purpose of this paper is to do an in-depth text analysis to examine how Swedish politicians constituteand construct identities, with a focus on "the self" and the "mediatization self" on the micro-blog Twitter.The theoretical ground for this study is from a discourse analysis point of view that focus on ?the self? andthe ?meditization self?.
