The object of this essay is the Swedish author Agnes von Krusenstjerna's novels Ninas dagbok (The diary of Nina) and Helenas första kärlek (Helena's first love) as well as the cycle novel Fröknarna von Pahlen (The misses von Pahlen). The purpose is to explore her use of the discourse of girls' fiction, which I analyse by the depiciton of women's sexual awakening, and her depiction of sadomasochism. The theories of Elaine Showalter, Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault and Judith Butler are used.Women's sexual awakening is depicted similarly in the novels but more explicitly in Fröknarna von Pahlen. In Ninas dagbok and Helenas första kärlek there is an eroticization of dominance and submission, which is not explicitly sadomasochistic. In Fröknarna von Pahlen, sadomasochism is explicitly described as a "perverted" sexuality and reveals the inequality in the violent sexuality, which is described as "normal".

Den allvarsamma leken (1912) by Hjalmar Söderberg has been regarded as one of the greatest love novels of Swedish literature. The story about Arvid Stjärnblom and Lydia Stille and their extramarital love is marked by timeless universality.In this essay, I will examine this notion of love as a prediscursive value, by means pro¬vided by foremost poststructuralist theory. With Derrida?s conception of deconstruction, the analysis will reveal the constructedness of the true love in Söderbergs novel. Examinating typi¬cal logocentric binarisms the essay will show that the notion of true love is constituting a term in an oppositional relation with, in this specific case, the marriage sanctioned by society.

Syftet med studien är att utifrån en tidigare självskadande kvinnas egen berättelse om sitt liv undersöka och försöka förstå hur hon upplevde sig själv och sin kropp i samband med självskadebeteendet, samt undersöka hennes yttre sammanhangs betydelse för hennes behov av att skada sig själv. Syftet med studien är också att undersöka sambandet mellan kropp, själ och yttre sammanhang när det gäller hennes självskadebeteende och därmed bidra till ökad förståelse kring problematiken. För att försöka förstå detta har jag i denna kvalitativa undersökning valt att utgå från narrativ metod och en livsberättelse. I analysarbetet har jag haft en induktiv ansats, dvs. jag har utgått ifrån empirin och sökt fruktbara teorier för att förstå empirin.

J.O. Mallander?s Extended Play (1968) is a sound recording, a readymade, of the counting of votes in two presidential elections in Finland, during 1962 and 1968. A voice repeats monotonously: ?Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen?? Although the Finnish president Urho Kekkonen represents, almost personifies, the politics of the post World War II period in Finland, Extended Play does not explicitly address the political. Rather, as this essay argues, it engages in the discourses of power and politics by providing a temporalization of its fixedness, or what Jacques Derrida terms the proper.Extended Play is, in parallel with Derrida?s critique of western metaphysics, a deconstruction in sound that challenges the state ideologies conveyed in the process of the counting of votes, where the presuppositions of the presence of the voice characterizes the ambiguities of power that Kekkonen?s politics of neutrality represent.Mallander?s readymade emerges as a double of the game theory strategies of the Cold War, a mimetic surplus of the administrative control mechanisms of sound recording.

Captured in the room of Göran Tunström?s spoken language, fenced behind his barrier of manic words. This essay is about the limit of language and world?s necessity to be spoken to be experience, about telling as a manufacturer of meaning and a subject?s motion between fiction and reality. Based on the novel Skimmer from 1996, my purpose is to identify ?a linguistic room? in Tunström?s narration and show how this room is given an existential character by its temporal and spatial dimensions.

I uppsatsen behandlas Tove Janssons barnlitterära roman Muminpappans memoarer. Avsikten är att analysera verkets berättarteknik, form och över- samt underliggande tematik. Tidigare forskning presenteras och vissa delar ifrågasätts. Metainslaget diskuteras, liksom ekonomiseringen. Det ekonomiska i romanen ses bland annat i Janssons återanvändning av sidokaraktärer inom ett och samma verk, samt genom hennes återkommande muminkaraktärer.

I det här arbetet har GastroNovums projekt Smakskolan som bygger på sapere-metoden utvärderats. Projektet sträckte sig över två terminer där två klasser på en skola i Hässleholms kommun deltog. Projektet startade när eleverna gick vårterminen i skolår ett och avslutades när de gick höstterminen i skolår två. Ordet sapere betyder att smaka och att kunna. Att hitta rätt ord för att beskriva hur något smakar, luktar eller känns är inte lätt, det är bland annat detta som sapere-metoden handlar om och vill lära ut.

Uppsatsen "En utredning av filosofins möjligheter" inleds med ett konstaterande av den bitande kritik som tidvis framförts mot filosofins olika dogmer och traditioner bland andra av Ludwig Wittgenstein, G. E. Moore och Richard Rorty. Det sägs vidare att all denna kritik hotar att förinta den positiva upptäckarlusten. En föresats görs därför att i funderingar och kritik se möjligheter för filosofin för att på så sätt bidraga till att föra denna framåt i något som förhoppningsvis blir ett konstruktivt inslag i debatten.

Äktenskapsbegreppet har under 1990- och 2000-talet varit under het debatt. Debatten har gällt om äktenskapsbegreppet kan innefatta samkönade parrelationer eller inte. I debatten har argument framförts som verkar mena att äktenskapsbegreppet har en absolut bestämd innebörd och att äktenskapsbegreppet därför är någonting givet som människan kan upptäcka. I uppsatsen problematiseras idén om existensen av ett absolut bestämt äktenskapsbegrepp utifrån två inte helt åtskilda perspektiv, nämligen ett historiskt och ett filosofiskt dekonstruktivistiskt. Historien verkar vittna om att äktenskapsbegreppet har varit under förhandling förr.

The essay seeks to clarify some of the decisive but often obscured issues in the famous debate between Jacques Derrida and Jonn F. Searle. The debate commenced in 1977 with the publication in Glyph of Derrida?s lecture Signature Event Context from -71, followed by Searle?s Reiterating the Differences. A Reply to Derrida and subsequently Derrida?s reply Limited Inc a b c ? which encouraged Searle to renew his criticism.

Syftet är att se vilka processer och roller som medverkat till att skapa och integrera en mångfaldsplan i en organisation. För att uppnå detta har vi valt att genomföra en diskursanalys som ger oss svar på hur världen presenteras, tolkas och konstrueras. Vi använder Michel Foucault som inspiratör vars åsikter tolkas och sammanlänkas med Charles Taylors, Philomena Esseds och Jacques Derridas åsikter för att på bästa sätt uppfylla vårt syfte. För att skaffa empiriskt underlag har vi valt att utföra en enkätundersökning, vilken till störst del underbygger uppsatsens empiri. För att få en bredare och även djupare insikt har vi även utfört korta intervjuer och observationer under tiden vi befunnit oss på platsen.
