Bankens affärsidé bygger på att vara lokala, finnas nära till hands för sina kunder och verka för bygden.För att kunna bedriva denna typ av enskild bankverksamhet behövs ändå en omfattande infrastruktur och produktsortiment. Att utveckla egna IT-system och exempelvis fonder är inte tänkbart då detta skulle bli alldeles för dyrt. Genom ett samarbete med storbanken Swedbank löses tidigare nämnda problem, men samarbetet genererar i ett annat problem, nämligen att Swedbank inverkar på Westra Wermlands Sparbanks varumärke och identitet.Syftet med denna uppsats är därför att få en djupare förståelse för varumärkeshanteringen hos Westra Wermlands Sparbank och att undersöka de effekter som uppkommer internt och externt vid ett företagssamarbete, som exempelvis det med Swedbank. För att få förståelse och kunskap inom ämnet har vi fördjupat oss i teorier kring varumärkets funktioner, brand equity, brand identity ? brand image samt kommunikation.

The purpose of the study is to expose how the US newspaper New York Times and the Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter mediate the war in Afghanistan. Furthermore a comparison is done to map out possible differences and similarities. To fulfill the purpose of the study a critical discourse analysis has been used. The results have shown both differences and similarities between the newspapers. The main conclusions are tendencies of correspondence with previous research and theoretical base, such as the furtherance of elite sources, the promotion of the national political agenda and the national identity and an obvious construction of us and them..

People in Sweden have more and more dogs in their care, and several of these dogs are kept in kennels in back yards for various reasons. According to Swedish animal welfare legislations the need for social contact for dogs has to be met. However, there are few details presented on how to meet the need and when it can be considered satisfied. Does the dog need human contact to fulfill the need, or is the company of other dogs enough? This study aims to specify what can be acceptable when it comes to fulfilling dogs? social needs in accordance with the Swedish animal welfare legislation.

SAMMANFATTNINGSyfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur närstående till skyddsisolerade patienter på en hematologiavdelning vid ett sjukhus i Mellansverige upplevde vårdtiden och bemötandet från vårdpersonalen under vistelsen på sjukhuset.Metod: Studien är en empirisk studie med kvalitativ design. Deltagarna bestod av fem närstående till skyddsisolerade patienter som valdes ut genom bekvämlighetsurval. Datainsamlingen gjordes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och innehållsanalys.Resultat: Två teman har identifierats ?Den närstående trygghet är kopplat till hur patienten mår och behandlas.? och ?Närstående förminskar sin egen betydelse i vårdsituationen?. Under dessa två teman utkristalliserade sig fyra kategorier ?Trygghetskänsla?, ?Förlorad kontroll?, ?Att vara närvarande? och ?Copingstrategier.

Bakgrund: Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) är en kronisk sjukdom som successivt försämrar det mänskliga immunförsvaret. Det finns medicinsk behandling som leder till ökad livslängd. Detta innebär att antalet personer med HIV kommer att öka och hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal kommer att kunna möta dessa personer inom flera vårdkontexter än enbart i HIV-specifika sammanhang. HIV har varit en uppmärksammad sjukdom sedan 1980-talet och den diskriminering och stigmatisering som sjukdomen mötte då finns kvar idag, trots nationella och globala lagar och riktlinjer.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att beskriva hur personer med HIV upplever hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens bemötande.Metod: Metoden för denna litteraturöversikt inkluderar tio vetenskapliga artiklar hämtade från databaserna CINAHL och PubMed. Av dessa var två kvantitativa och åtta kvalitativa.

This thesis is dealing with how students living in a student corridor experience the circumstances in their corridor. The aim is through interviews with students living in the corridors get a inside look at their situations. I want to examine how changed conditions of life, new meetings and new experiences will influence their personalities. How are the students living in the corridors affected by conflicts and how do they protect themselves from the influence of the rest of the group living there? In addition to that I want to know what they think is important prioritises throughout their student time, like if there are anything important that a student should take time to do beside the studies.

This work describes a series of glasses, both for people withvisual handicap, and the glasses are not only limited for use onlyby people with poor sight.I have, based on the course Senses, done research and lookedinto how to design glasses for visual handicapped people interms of function, look and expression.I have elaborated with several different glasses and performedmany experiments to come up with my final result, consisting ofa series of glasses.The glasses in the series are made with a weight on one side, onestep on the bottom to get the possibility for the glass to tilt over,which enables you to both hear and see when you have reach acertain amount of substance in the glass.It has also been important for me that the glasses express somethingand get an individual identity.The result became glasses for whiskey, coffee, shots and mullwine..

Uppsatsen behandlar Swedish Match, och undersöker om och i så fall hur företaget genom dygder etablerar ett gott ethos på sin hemsida, trots sin oetiska verksamhet. En topikanalys genomförs för att klargöra om, var och hur ethos etableras genom dygder. Målet med mitt examensarbete har varit att skapa en produkt som underlättar hållbar matlagning - hållbar för miljö och hälsa. I denna uppsats redogör jag för de beslut jag fattat i min designprocess.Utifrån intervjuer, ITK (Identity Tool Kit) och research om ämnet, blev det tydligare för mig vad hållbar matlagning kunde innebära. Jag beslutade att arbeta vidare med ångkokning, en metod som bland annat bevarar näringsämnen på ett bra sätt.Jag har utvärderat marknadens utbud av ångkokare och i observationer studerat matlagningsprocessen och vilka problem som kan uppstå.Resultatet blev Fume, en ångkokare som erbjuder matlagning på höjden, samtidigt som den kräver små ytor vid förvaring..

The development within the textile industry is always ongoing with development of new andbetter textiles, which often mean the use of non-natural materials like polyester. This doesn?t lineup with the work shared around the world against an improved environment, so the idea came touse a form of linen fibers instead of polyester as the reinforcing material together with cotton.The idea was to use flax, linen of low quality, which is seen as a waste product and garbage inthe production of high quality linen and flax seed oil. This flax of low quality needs to beseparated before it can be used in cotton spinning machines. Fireball 2 is just that, a process toseparate flax fibers through the treatment of a technique called electrohydraulic discharge.The thesis works goal is to evaluate the Fireball 2 process ability to separate flax fiber.

Rapporten besvarar hur värdegrunder i en organisation skapas av företagets personal i form av ord som kopplas till företagets varumärke. Metodiken i denna studie har pendlat mellan intervjuer och workshopar. Forming teacher teams is currently the standard way of organizing teachers in Swedish Compulsory Schools. This is the result of a process that started in the 1970s.Traditionally the culture of teaching has been one of isolation. Once the door to the classroom is shut, what happens behind the door is up to the teacher to decide. Over the past thirty years a lot of time has been dedicated to making fundamental changes in the way teachers interact with their colleagues. Today the idea of teachers forming teams is generally accepted but still the core of a Swedish teacher?s job is that of a lone worker.

This study aims to find out what happens with the roles that are seemingly left behind. Are there roles that are harder or easier to exercise? Available roles with us through life and affect our future decisions or we switched completely away from them and create new roles based on the situations we find ourselves in at the moment? The aim is also to see how the relationship looks like between closed roles and new roles in life. To try to find this out, I have used the narrative method. The study is based largely on Goffman's theories of roles, behind and above the front- and back stage.
