Bakgrund: Att sövas är en av de mest stressfyllda erfarenheter ett barn kan få i samband medsjukhusvistelse. Perioperativ oro är relaterad till postoperativ smärta och negativa postoperativabeteendeförändringar.Syfte: Att belysa hur barns oro inför anestesi och operation kan förebyggas med andra metoder änfarmakologiska.Metod: En litteraturstudie där resultatet är baserat på 11 vetenskapliga artiklar publicerade mellan2000- 2010.Resultat: Distraktion i form av clowner och dataspel har visat sig minska barnets oro inför anestesioch operation. Familjefokuserad förberedelse i både skriftlig och muntlig form och terapeutisk lekminskar också barns oro. En tyst och lugn miljö bidrar till en lugnare insomning och även alternativmedicin i form av akupressur ger samma resultat.Slutsats: Med ganska enkla metoder kan barns oro inför anestesi och operation förebyggas. Alla destuderade metoderna har visat sig minska barns oro i jämförelse med det standardiseradeomhändertagandet..

Is the Swedish author Stig Dagerman an existentialist? This work takes a close look at Dagerman?s novel Island of the Doomed to see if it is possible to consider it an expression of existentialist thinking and to see if it interacts with any specific existentialist tradition. Dagerman?s novel was compared with select works of five existentialist thinkers ? Søren Kierkegaard, Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus and Karl Jaspers, all read in the light of the four categories of existentialistic thinking identified by the Swedish scholar Lennart Koskinen. All the four categories appeared to be central themes within the novel and a few subcategories were identified.

Ireland had, by the year of 1998, been an island of war and conflict to some extent for almost 1000 years. The northeast part of the island, called Northern Ireland, had been under British domination for over 25 years when ?the Troubles? ended by the year of 1998. This essay aims towards explaining how the first generation after ?the Troubles? has been shaped in terms of political and religious beliefs and attitudes in the society of Belfast.

Oro är en av faktorerna att ta hänsyn till när människor ska genomgå en operation. Oro kan orsaka stort lidande och även ha betydelse för resultatet med operationen. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva vilka omvårdnadsåtgärder som kunde minska oro hos patienter som ska genomgå kirurgi. I studien ingick 15 stycken artiklar som belyste omvårdnadsåtgärder för att minska patientens oro. Analysen gjordes med en manifest innehållsanalys.

The subject of this master thesis is co-operation between archives, libraries and museums. The purpose is twofold: 1 To map out activities within the area to get an overall picture. The mapping is done by studies of documents and consists of international outlooks and an overview of national and regional projects and reports; 2 To investigate how leaders of the respective institutions within the various regions of Sweden apprehend co-operation between the three sectors. The empirical study is accomplished by inquiries and is mainly qualitative. An intermediate purpose of this essay is to try using grounded theory to treat and analyse the gathered material.

Öland?s Business Office is on the verge of developing a strategy for the island?s future tourism. Before any work with developing Öland can be carried out, it is essential to gain an understanding of how the place is perceived today.The purpose of this essay is to study the island?s current image and make recommendations for how the place brand could be developed.The methods used are literature studies and qualitative group interviews. The participants have been inhabitants of Öland and returning visitors from the Kalmar region.

På Island finns många gamla traditioner. Jordbrukare har under lång tid använt sig av allmänningar för att låta djur beta på under sommarmånaderna. Allmänningarna spelar också en stor roll för det isländska kulturarvet. Den viktigaste händelsen i samband med allmänningen är den årliga fårskiljningen. Fårskiljningen äger rum på hösten och då är nästan varenda person i bygden inblandad på ett eller annat sätt. Man delas upp i olika arbetslag för att hämta hem fåren från allmänningarna som är belägna i fjällen. I denna uppsats skriver jag om min hembygd på norra Island, närmare bestämt Deildardal i Skagafjördurs kommun.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how the social services and the police co-operate with each other when they come into contact with an individual within their realms of influence. It has been shown in a report by Fridolf (2008) that co-operation is not the aim itself but used as a mean to reach for better processes and better results. We have used qualitative interviews in the study, where three social workers and three policemen have participated from the same municipality to answer our questions. To analyze our result we have used system theory and organization theory. The result of our study shows that within this specific municipality the two agencies co-operate very well.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to deepen my knowledge in how teachers can teach pupils with reading and writing disabilities, and also find out how a co-operation with remedial teachers can look like.The study is based on qualitative interviews with two teachers and two remedialteachers.The study shows that the two teachers´ co-operation with the remedial teacher appeared to bedifferent. The teacher who had the longest work experience was the one of the two that had a co-operation with the remedial teacher, the other teacher who graduated in 2007 did not have any co operation at all with the remedial teacher.The study also showed that the teachers and the remedial teachers in the study had different opinions about what method to use for pupils with reading and writing disabilities, and that the LTG method was the one most frequently used .All the participants in the study agreed that reading and writing disabilities is a large area, andthat there is a large variety in difficulties among the students . Some of the difficulties the participants had experienced were problems with decoding, pupils that had problems with learning the letters..

The aim of this study is to illustrate, and analyze how social workers are able to more effectively pursue operative possibilities within their own particular organizations. The main question concerning this issue is: How are social workers, working within the same district organization able to realise any potential for co-operation with other social workers, in different locales and units, yet working within the same organization? Following on from this question, further issues arise such as: 1. How do the varying demands of the clients affect the workload of the social worker? 2.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på om Försvarsmakten har förmåga att genomföra övergång av större vattendrag med tyngre materiel. Detta gör jag genom att göra en fallstudie på Operation Gazelle för att förklara hur israelerna nyttjade sin förmåga till övergång av vattendrag för att få ett högt tempo i sin strid. Jag undersöker också den materiel vilken utbildning och vilka förband Försvarsmakten har för att bygga färjor och flytande broar.  Inledningsvis förklarar jag viktiga begrepp såsom tempo, rörlighet, OODA-loopen/beslutscykeln och vattendrag. Jag använder mig av dessa begrepp senare i uppsatsen där jag kopplar detta till hur Israel använde sig av fältarbetsresurser för rörlighet för att få ett högt tempo i sin strid.Slutsatserna är att Israel till stor del lyckades med Operation Gazelle tack vare att de hade förmågan att genomföra en vattenövergång över Suezkanalen. Försvarsmakten har i dag en förmåga att genomföra övergångar av större vattendrag.

This thesis deals with co-operation between municipalities viewed from the perspectiveof the small municipality. It poses two questions: How and why doessmall municipalities co-operate? and Which is the place of the small municipalityin a larger organization?. To examine this three Scanian municipalities have beenstudied and one Norwegian municipality is used to provide a perspective on theSwedish discussion.Four theoretical topics guide the thesis. Firstly the core values of municipalities;democracy, autonomy and efficiency.

Bakgrund: Det finns flera studier som belyser nyttan med att göra ett uppehåll med rökning i samband med en operation. Ett rökuppehåll ger färre komplikationer och ett bättre operationsresultat. Denna studie belyser rökares upplevelser av att tvingas genomföra ett rökuppehåll för att bli opererade. Syfte: Att beskriva rökares upplevelser av att tvingas göra ett rökuppehåll i samband med operation. Metod: Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ ansats. Åtta personer som var rökare och hade opererats rekryterades. Urvalet var personer som hade gjort ett rökuppehåll två månader före operation, opererats och fortsatt  med rökuppehållet två månader efter operation.

Den svenska veteranutredningen lyfter upp mediabilden från Sveriges deltagande i internationella insatser som ett problem. Syftet med uppsatsen är att kartlägga skillnaderna i rapporteringen av händelserna under Operation Artemis i Kongo 2003 utifrån Försvarsmakten och de fyra största dagstidningarna (Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen och Svenska Dagbladet) samt att undersöka om rapporteringen skiljer sig beroende av om det är en morgontidning eller kvällstidning. Analysen har gjorts utifrån ett narrativt perspektiv och tidningarna har analyserats utifrån kategorierna dagstidningsekonomi, sensationsjournalistik, objektivitet, vinkling och förenkling. Uppsatsen visar på att det finns skillnader i hur både Försvarsmakten och dagstidningarna rapporterade från Operation Artemis. Uppsatsen visar också på att rapporteringen skiljer sig om det är en morgontidning eller kvällstidning som skriver artikeln.

This study deals with the contribution of the genetic variant lactase persistence among Neolithic people from the Baltic Island Öland. Skeletal remains from twelve individuals went through DNA sequencing in order to find the mutation that allows adult individuals to digest milk sugar. The twelve individuals were chosen from two different Neolithic sites, where the archaeological and isotopic data suggest that the individuals from Köpingsvik were hunters and gatherers and the individuals from Resmo were early farmers. The individuals with the genetic variant lactase persistence can be described with selection and genetic flow.  Only five individuals produced results and the mutation was found in two of the subjects. All the individuals who were successfully sequenced came from Resmo, whereasno individuals from Köpingsvik yielded any results.
