This thesis aimed to study the interaction between an educational technology system and its users and give suggestions for design improvements. The technology system is called EDIT (Educational Development through Information Technology) and has been developed and applied at Linköping University?s Faculty of Health Science. EDIT supports Problem Based Learning and enables scenarios to be presented through the World Wide Web. The study was divided into two parts.

The print- and mailroom at Gefle Dagblad (GD-tyck) is handling an increasing amount of commercial jobsalong with the newspaper production. Investments have above all been done in the mailroom to be able tooffer commercial costumers a higher degree of finishing and there are plans to expand further in the commercialmarket. GD-tryck is of the opinion that they need to secure the quality of their production to be ableto do such expansion, which is the reason why a quality system of some kind may be appropriate. Howeverthere are no plans to certify such a quality system according to ISO 9001:2000.In this exam report the present methods of working have been analysed from a quality perspective.Suggestions on how GD-tryck should be working with quality development is presented in the fields whereshortage of quality has been discovered. The suggestions taken together do not form a quality system butcan be looked at as ideas of approach to quality fields that have to be developed if a working quality systemshall be accomplished.Many of the quality fields that have been discussed do not have anything to do with technical qualitydirectly but are in some degree requirements for a working quality system.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to investigate how Paul Feyerabend?s anarchistic theory of knowledge can help our understanding of bibliographical classification and to analyse how epistemological assumptions are manifested in bibliographic classification. Paul Feyerabend?s anarchistic theory of knowledge and science is the theoretical approach of this thesis. The first part of the thesis consists of an introduction to bibliographical classification and epistemology.

The report contains three parts. The first part is a summary and overall presentation of thermalcracks and preventing measures against such cracks. This is a theoretical part where theinterested designer can get acquainted with various alternatives, be guided to more detailedliterature, and receive some practical information regarding the design of the respectivemeasures.The second part deals with calculation of the risk for thermal cracks and design of water coolingas a limiting measure. Two complementary methods are reviewed for efficient calculation:?the handbook method CraX1(by Lulea University of Technology) is used for quickverification?finite differential analysis in the calculationtool ConTeSt Pro for more precise projectingHere is also presented a development of existing standards through design of the cooling systemby means of the Bernoulli equation.

This rapport contains an examination of the energy consumption of a kindergarten, which areas that have the largest impact on the energy consumption and what can be done to reduce those areas in ways that are relatively easy and profitable. It is also analyzed if it is possible to reduce the energy consumption from today?s consumption to a consumption that fulfils the demands placed on low energy houses by FEBY.The focus has been on reducing the energy consumption of the areas ventilation, heating system and hot water system, since those seemed to be the easiest ones to affect and since the building is quite recently built.There are different kinds of ventilation systems, at the moment the building have a CAV-system, which means that the ventilation is too high during large parts of the day. There are different ways to manage the ventilation system, for example presence detection, humidity sensors, CO2 sensors, temperature sensors and season adjustment. Many of those are in the end dependent on CO2 sensors to guarantee a good indoor climate, therefore the focus have been placed on this system.

In this report a systematic working procedure for risk classification of processing equipment from a maintenance point of view is described. How this system has been worked out is also an important part of the report. The classification system is adapted for use in complex processing plants. Preemraff Göteborg has been subject for the underlying study and application of the system.The system aims to give a good overview of the maintenance related risks at the plant. Furthermore, the analysis result is a good motivation for the suggested maintenance activities and as motivation for extended or decreased maintenance resources in total.

The development of IT systems is usually accomplished by some form of system development methodology. It can be performed as the waterfall method, where each phase is completed before the next begins. One of the reasons to follow a development methodology is that the process is more structured, faster and that the product will have higher quality. One risk of not using a system development approach is that the code can be unstructured and difficult to maintain.This paper describes an alternative method in which the development occurred without the use of any system development methodology. This has been possible because there was a clear goal of the program that should be developed.

CRM-system har visat sig vara ett allt mer vanligt och effektivt marknadsföringsverktyg. Ett CRM-system hjälper ett företag att strukturera samtliga kunder samt information om kunderna på ett ställe. Målet med ett CRM-system är att förstå kundens behov och dess värde för företaget.Studiens syfte är att beskriva CRM och hur ett sådant system kan användas. Vi har valt att undersöka leverantörers och kunders syn på CRM-system, vilka för- och nackdelar de ser med ett CRM-system. Vi har även valt att belysa väsentliga skillnader mellan traditionella CRM-system och så kallade molnbaserade CRM-system, något som har blivit allt mer vanligt.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete var att undersöka vilka faktorer som gör teknisk kommunikation tillgänglig och lättförståelig. Det skulle leda fram till en läsvärd lathund för användare av ett nytt CMS-system. Arbetet har genomförts i samarbete med Telia, som är inne i ett förändringsarbete gällande sina informationssystem. De ska införa ett nytt så kallat PIM-system (Product Information Management), som ska innefatta ovan nämnda CMS-system och kommer innebära ett förändrat arbetssätt och nya arbetsuppgifter för min berörda målgrupp. För att lösa problemet har jag tagit hjälp av en fokusgrupp och gjort en webbenkät. Jag har ställt mig frågor om vad teknisk kommunikation kan bidra med vid framtagning av ett instruerande material, samt i vilka syften användarna kan tänkas läsa den typen av material. Med hjälp av teorier och ovanstående metoder producerade jag ett förslag på hur lathunden kan se ut. Jag testade också förslaget på målgruppen för att få deras åsikter, i syfte att förbättra slutresultatet..

This report is the result of a thesis carried out during the spring of 2010 at Sandvik Coromant in Gimo. The purpose of this thesis has been to make an inventory and mapping of information used by flow groups that are most relevant for the day-to-day work. This mapping will then form the basis for information supplied by an automated system.The project consisted of:Identifying how the information is supplied today.Inquiring into the needs of an automated system.Which needs of information that will be provided by the system.Data collection occurred in two ways, both through observations and interviews. Observations of the participants were carried out early in the thesis, where the aim was to create a picture of the problem, and gradually develop a basis for the actual interview study. At each observation, an unstructured observation was used, which means that all activity was recorded.

Dagens företag är i stort behov av information. Företag som har många avdelningar behöver möjligheter för att enkelt och smidigt kunna samordna information för hela företaget. Affärssystem erbjuder denna möjlighet genom en modulbaserad konstruktion som integrerar ett företags samtliga avdelningar i ett enda system. Problem kan dock uppstå då ett valt affärssystem inte passar företagets verksamhet. En kompromiss mellan system och verksamhet måste då försöka uppnås.Ett affärssystem implementeras ofta i samband med en metod, vilken ger detaljerade beskrivningar för hur implementeringen ska gå till.

This study aims to investigate how small scale manufacturing companies reason around an implementation of a PLM-system, as well as the suitability of these systems compared to larger companies. The study is built on a qualitative method. Initially, secondary data was gathered through books, articles and reports. Primary data was gathered through four interviews. Two interviews were performed with PLM resellers, one interview was performed with a PLM developer, and one interview was performed with a small scale manufacturing company that opted to not implement a PLM-system.The results imply that overall differences between larger and smaller companies exist in regard to the need of PLM systems.

Genom detta examensarbete har ett webbaserat system utvecklats för hantering av ämnesinriktade diskussioner i realtid. Systemets funktioner skapades med hjälp av PHP som ett serverspråk medan JavaScript användes som ett klientspråk. HTML och CSS användes för att skapa systemet grafiska gränssnitt. Samt att datalagring uppnåddes med hjälp av en MySQL-databas. Författaren använde sig av olika verktyg för att utveckla systemet.

It leads to cessation of gonadal hormone production, and how the exact extent the surgery affects the dog is not yet fully understood. The sex hormones mainly control the reproductive system, but receptors of these hormones are found in many tissues of the body, and have complex relationships with other hormone systems. Spaying decreases the metabolism although the bitch gets an increased appetite, which enhance the risk of obesity, unless the owner restricts food intake.

Luleå kommun funderar på att införskaffa ett GPS-baserat kvalitets- och uppföljningssystem för gatudrift. Detta för att få en bättre kontroll på vilka aktiviteter inom gatudrift som har utförts samt när och vart de har utförts. Detta arbete åt Luleå kommun syftar till att utvärdera hur ett GPS- baserat kvalitets- och uppföljningssystem kan användas inom kommunal gatudrift. Vilken data som kan genereras från ett sådant system och hur den ska användas. Arbetet har genomförts som en fallstudie med uteslutande kvalitativt material.
