The aim of this study was to investigate how maternity and child care was carried out at Regional Hospital in Morogoro, Tanzania as well as how it was perceived by mothers and children. The study was conducted with a qualitative method through observation and interviews. The results of the study showed that the staff knew what they were doing and how they should treat their patients and that they helped them without thinking about preventive measures. The study concluded that people wanted to seek the care provided at the hospital and some people stated that they had confidence in the staff. The people that came to the hospital sought care for various diseases and conditions and they all got medical attention of some sort.

Det huvudsakliga syftet med studien var att belysa hur en period av intensiv lästräning påverkar elevers läsning i årskurs 2. Träningen sker i form av parläsning av ordlistor och skönlitteratur kopplat till sång på stavelser, arbete med att komma på ord som börjar med vissa stavelser samt att läraren undervisar i lässtrategier. Två grupper arbetar med träningen, där en av grupperna, kallad gröna gruppen, arbetar med samtliga delar och den andra gruppen, kallad gula gruppen, arbetar med sång på stavelser och lässtrategier. Jag ville även ta del av elevernas upplevelser av lästräningen. Tidigare interventionsforskning visar att det gynnar resultatet om det är bredd på interventionen, om flera förmågor övas samtidigt. De båda grupperna som deltog i projektet som varade i tre veckor ökade sin avkodningsförmåga ungefär lika mycket.

This study aimed at supplementing the Swedish National Agency for Education?s (Skolverket) study (2006) I enlighet med skolans värdegrund? which investigated whether textbooks in various school subjects went against the fundamental values in the curricula Lpf94 and Lpo 94. Due to this study?s supplementing intention, this study uses a similar title as Skolverket. By adding a new subject (Swedish) to Skolverket?s study, this study also strived to show how discrimination might be present in other subjects than the ones Skolverket involved in their study.

Det aktuella arbetet fokuserade på omvårdnadsåtgärder för närstående som vid tragiska omständigheter hade förlorat en anhörig. Syftet med denna studie var att sammanställa kunskap om sjuksköterskors omvårdnadsinterventioner i det akuta krisskedet för närstående som hastigt förlorat en anhörig. Integrerad litteraturöversikt valdes som metod för denna studie, som omfattade 5kvalitativa, 2 kvantitativa och 3 översiktsstudier samt 1 studie med blandad kvantitativ och kvalitativ metod. Vid analysen identifierades 6 omvårdnadsinterventioner: att ge emotionellt stöd och praktisk rådgivning; att förbereda närstående att ta emot information om anhöriges död; att visa respekt och omtanke om människan; att ge hjälp att ta beslut om att se eller inte se den avlidnes kropp; att identifiera närståendes individuella behov och ge stöd efter behov samt att underlätta sorgbearbetning genom tillfredsställande av andliga behov. Det framkom att en av den vanligaste omvårdnadsinterventionerna var att ge emotionellt stöd och praktisk rådgivning till närstående i det akuta krisläge då de får information om sin anhöriges död..

Following study is about motivation from a student perspective. Based on the prescribed literature and published research, the concept and field of motivation have been illuminated. The purpose of the study was to examine how students in ninth grade perceived their educational motivation and what kind importance they considered it had for their performance in school. The study is also supposed to base upon the result; clarify the differences if any between schools. In an attempt to get a clear image of this a quantitative method in the form of surveys was made on two schools in the Stockholm region. One of the schools had a really good merit value, and the other had a rather poor merit- value. By choosing a quantitative method a relatively large number of students where able to participate and equally large quantity of statistics have been presented. The result point at motivation in the participating students in both schools can increase and decrease through different factors.

Under graviditeten uppstår vanligen viss oro från lättare funderingar till uttalad rädsla inför förlossningen. Föreliggande studie är en randomiserad, kontrollerad pilotstudie i syfte att undersöka om en förberedelsemodell i gruppformat baserad på ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) kan påverka upplevelsen före förlossningen hos gravida kvinnor med viss förlossningsoro jämfört med en kontrollgrupp. Behandlingsgruppen bestod av 12 gravida kvinnor vilka uppdelade i tre grupper deltog i fyra gruppsamtal. Kontrollgruppen bestod av tio gravida kvinnor som vid ett tillfälle erhöll information och psykoedukation. För utvärdering av behandlingen mättes graden av självskattad oro och rädsla inför förlossningen, graden av självskattad ångest och depression, tendensen att undvika obehagliga upplevelser samt upplevelse av hälsa och livskvalitet.

In this essay there will be four text books from grade 1 studied, the first one are from the year 1976 and it will be going forward to the year 2012. The aim of this study is to see how the genders are depicted and represented, as well as what roles the genders are given. I do also want to see if there is a notable change in this over time. I will be doing a study based on the quantity of the contents, and I will also be doing a critical discourse analysis.The result of the study showed that there were more gender-based constructions that referred to women in all of the four books, which indicates that women are represented more often in these reading books. It is most common to portray the genders in their stereotypical roles, which again are present in society, but sometimes these roles are depart from what?s present in society.

The main purpose of this essay is to examine if it is possible to identify farms of ?forest Finnish? people in Sweden, by means of an archaeological analysis, comparing the forest Finnish settlement with known none-forest Finnish settlements. This study is based on material excavated from the farms of Grannäs, and Råsjö, in the Swedish provinces of Jämtland and Medelpad. Both farms are dated to the 17th and 18th century. The study itself is divided into three parts, firstly a general study to get an overview of the material, secondly a study of ceramics as an attempt to discern social status and lastly a study of the animal bone material for analyzing the forest Finns? livestock and possible hunting habits.

Article search occurred in the databases PsycINFO and PubMed. Nine articles were selected based on the study?s inclusion criteria.

AbstractIn 2013, the diagnosis of Asperger?s syndrome will be eliminated as a stand-alone diagnosis, to be subsumed into the existing diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this paper, a study with the objective of emphasizing current opinions regarding the change in diagnosis is performed. Another objective is to examine the connection between identity and diagnosis. The study therefore targets people with a diagnosis, in this case Asperger?s syndrome.The empirical material of the study has been collected through a quantitative web-based survey.

Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to study the 45 funds, divided into three differentdivisions, then the result will provide a greater understanding of how returns change with ahigher risk.Methodology: The study is based on a quantitative approach. The survey was conducted bygathering raw data from databases and secondary data from literature, printed and electronicsources.Theoretical perspectives: The study is based on the theory: the efficient markethypothesis, which argues that future returns can not be calculated as the market is fullyinformed. The material is then divided into documents and time axes.Conclusions: The study has shown that high-risk funds give a higher percentage returns thanmedium-and low-risk funds. However, does not imply a higher risk automatically earn ahigher return when the low-risk funds have shown a higher yield than medium-risk funds.

The study is based on two questions: What does"honor" mean to the three generations of women who are Muslim and Kurdish? Did these three generations of women?s idea of honor change over time as they have lived in Sweden? Results of this study have shown that the concept of honor has its focus on the woman's body, sexuality and chastity.

The purpose of this study was to describe, understand and analyze the thought behind the perception amongst pedagogues´ on multicultural work in preschools, based on an intercultural perspective. In this study, I questioned the pedagogues´ view on the work in preschools that prepares children for a life in a multicultural society and also the way they describe the cultural challenges.The study was accomplished and questions were answered by studying current literature and previous research in the field. I also interviewed four pedagogues from two different preschools located in separate areas.This study shows that many opinions that pedagogues expressed in the interviews can be traced back to an ?us vs. them? perspective, in which your own culture, the Swedish one in this case, is the most critical and should receive the greatest attention in preschool.

The aim with this study is to see how social workers apprehend the law, support and service for persons with certain functional impairments (LSS) and the application. We interviewed six social workers in six different municipalities to get a distribution between small and big municipalities. In the study we have used a qualitative method with half structured interview questions, since we wanted to get a comprehension for the social workers apprehensions. We have used a communication theory and a role theory in the study. The result showed that the social workers consider that the LSS is important, but that there are a few difficulties in the application.
