This essay presents a business plan for the idea of a Pet Shop in Stockholm. The initial purpose of the essay was to investigate weather the company would be financially profitable or not. During the process we encountered problems and pitfalls that we felt contributed to the fact that our business idea is yet not realized. Therefore the second purpose of describing the process that an entrepreneur goes through when starting a new business came about. Besides the business plan for Pet Shop we present a selection of the theories that we found relevant for our situation, among others behaviour of entrepreneurial teams, network theory and execution.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka om det fanns omvårdnadsåtgärder för sjuksköterskor/barnmorskor att medverka till en minskning av alkoholexponerade graviditeter för fertila och gravida kvinnor. Goodmans systematiska metod användes för den metodologiska processen. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar granskades. Resultatet visar att det finns evidens för att kort intervention för fertila kvinnor med inslag av motiverande samtal har en signifikant reducerande effekt på alkoholkonsumtionen och ökar användningen av effektivt preventivmedel. Dessutom visar resultatet att kort intervention för gravida kvinnor med motiverande samtal är effektivt för kvinnorna att avstå eller signifikant reducera alkoholkonsumtionen.

The study has shown that retailers in the mid-price segment differentiate their brand through developing a strong company identity around the brand. The personality involves store atmosphere, merchandise and advertising. Larger companies have chosen to lay the responsibility on management level, which facilitates on store level. By controlling the strategies on a central level the company can make sure that the stores are steered in the direction that the company wants them to be steered in, and also that they follow the positioning-concept. The company can also devote its efforts to working with its core value, which is service.

Automatic milking systems (AMS) are part of a growing trend in Sweden and the number of milk-producing farms is decreasing rapidly. One main reason for the AMS is its ability to facilitate work for the farmer. The effects of introduction prior to calving have not been documented earlier and farmers are not in agreement, however they seldom see a problem with the introduction. The aim of this report is to find differences between two groups of heifers, where one group is trained i.e. introduced to the AMS before calving and the other group is introduced after calving.

Spegelträning är en ny och relativt oprövad metod för behandling av handskadade patienter. Behandlingen ger en illusion av funktion i en icke fungerande hand och metoden baseras på forskning om hjärnans plastiska förmåga som gör att kroppsuppfattningen snabbt kan förändras. Studien gjordes som en fallstudie och beskriver spegelträning som arbetsterapeutisk intervention på en patient med handskada. Patienten tränade med spegel i sex veckor. Handfunktion och aktivitetsförmåga före respektive efter behandlingsperioden jämfördes.

It generally takes 10 to 12 years for a new drug to hit the market. The pharmaceutical industry invests huge sums in these early stages of research and development. In spite of the rapidly rising research and development expenditures fewer and fewer blockbuster drugs are being developed. Longer lead times and aggressive generic post-patent competition have narrowed the timeframe for the pharmaceutical companies to profit on their investments.In the face of these threats the pharmaceutical industry has developed a battery of strategies to prolong market exclusivity and to maximize return on investment. These emerging strategies are commonly known as Life cycle management (LCM), which actually is more of a concept than a method.

Humor är en viktig beståndsdel i människans liv och uppstår ofta spontant utan närmare eftertanke i möten med andra. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva humorns betydelse i omvårdnadsrelationen mellan sjuksköterska och patient. Studien baserades på internationella vetenskapliga artiklar från år 1996 till år 2003. Kvalitativ innehållsanalys användes för att analysera de 13 utvalda artiklarna. Analysen resulterade i tre kategorier som visade att humor har stor betydelse som copingstrategi vid försämrad hälsa, underlättar kommunikation och skapandet av relationer.

The point of the study is to investigate educational and vocational counselors' strategies on drop in calls. In order to answer the purpose, the issues concerning the educational and vocational counselors' strategies and guidance models/methods at drop-in calls investigated.Qualitative interviews were conducted with six educational and vocational counselors'.In the study it appears that the educational and vocational counselors' are unable to have any strategies for drop-in conversation because the applicant will come spontaneously and the educational and vocational counselors' lack information about the individual and its purpose of the interview. Guidance models/methods designed to facilitate for the applicant and give them a sense of understanding about them selves there environment and results in a clarification of the election, not often used during the drop-in calls.These are not often used due to the lack of time because the intention of the call is to provide with information to the applicant in as little time as possible. In an educational and vocational counselors? perspective the guidance that is offered at drop-in calls defective..

Studien syftade till att undersöka hur läsförmågan, med avseende på avkodning av enstaka ord samt läsning av sammanhängande text, hos sex elever med avkodningssvårigheter, påverkades av en åtta veckor lång intervention med träningsprogrammet BRAVKOD, samt hur eleverna upplevde arbetet med metoden. Studien genomfördes som en intervention med för- och eftertest samt med hjälp av en enkät och ett efterföljande samtal. Testresultaten behandlades kvantitativt och enkäterna med de tillhörande samtalen utgjorde ett kvalitativt komplement till testresultaten.På de tester som avsåg att mäta avkodningsförmåga av enstaka ord förbättrades interventionsgruppens resultat mer än kontrollgruppens på samtliga test utom ett. Störst förbättring kunde ses på avkodningshastigheten, medan korrektheten var svårare att påverka. Den del av studien som handlade om att undersöka läsflyt, visade inga framsteg för interventionsgruppen i jämförelse med kontrollgruppen.

Hälsofrämjande arbete syftar till en hälsosammare livsstil för individen. En förutsättning för att uppnå det är att individen är motiverad. Motivation definieras som ?de faktorer hos individen som väcker, formar, och riktar beteendet mot olika mål?. Våren 2012 utfördes ett projekt vid namn ?Aktiva studenter 2012? som syftade till att få inaktiva studenter vid Luleå tekniska universitet mer aktiva och hälsosamma.

This thesis aims to study the indirect effects of the Europeanization on national parties and the presence of an established national opposition towards the European Union (EU) and its effects in Sweden, as a result of the so-called conflict of Vaxholm. The questions asked were whether or not it existed an established national opposition towards the EU, and if so, what the opposition consists of substantially. The research method, which was used, is a quantified text analysis on the chamber debates of the Swedish Riksdag and the party congresses of Socialdemokraterna. The study shows that there is an ambivalent opposition towards the EU and its effects in the aftermath of the conflict of Vaxholm.  Socialdemokraterna presented resistance, but did not manage to present apparent alternatives, which left the party with a rather indistinctive opposition. In contrast to the right-wing party, the left-wing party had some profound difficulties in positioning itself in the new and globalized economy. I therefore suggest, that it might be more providing and exhaustive to introduce Azmanova?s ideal-type analysis, which instead of positing parties on a left-right continuum, posit parties after respective party?s opinions concerning the risks or opportunities which the EU and the internal market?s effects. .

In 2007 the Prevention Unit at Södermalm in Stockholm started a group activity for parents and children. The group activity?s intention is to offer families support in their early interaction. This study is a part of providing knowledge about this intervention. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the stories which are produced by five participants in a support group for parents and children.

Core self-evaluation (CSE) begreppet har i tidigare studier visat sig predicera prestation i arbetssammanhang. Antaganden har gjorts om att även andra personlighetsdrag borde ingå i detta begrepp för att ytterligare förstärka dess prediktionsförmåga. Det har dock ännu inte klarlagts exakt vilka personlighetsdrag detta skulle gälla. Tidigare forskning har föreslagit extraversion som en förstärkning av CSE-modellen. Hypotesen i föreliggande undersökning var att CSE är en prediktor för prestation, samt att extraversion förklarar varians i prestation utöver CSE och därmed stärker modellen.

The public libraries were quick to adapt to the changes that the Internet brought on, and today library websites are an important part of the public library. To meet the needs of teens today, the library website could offer a range of contents to make it an attractive place on many levels; both the academic needs as well as social and recreational needs should be addressed.The aim of this thesis is to evaluate public library websites for teenagers in Sweden, and to examine how well the websites address the developmental tasks and needs that teenagers have. The method used is website evaluation, one quantitative and one qualitative. A total of 60 public library sites for teenagers were evaluated, using 11 criteria based on Havighursts developmental tasks. The quantitative evaluation measured how many functions each website had per criteria, and showed that the majority of the sites had one or two functions for most of the criteria.

New method for measuring road quality- A statisticalstudy of the relationship between road quality andsocioeconomic development A new tool with implications for road maintenance has the potential to yield statistical data for road quality in a large number of regions. This thesis investigates the possibility to develop a method, from this data, for evaluating the effects of road quality on socioeconomic development.The thesis is essentially divided into two parts. Part one looks to qualitatively establish the link between socioeconomic development and road quality and the second part focuses on how to develop a method for evaluating the effects of road quality on socioeconomic development. A method was devised using categorical data and a multinomial regression model. This method provides a comprehensive overview of the complex relationship between a variety of different variables.
