Background:Life-cycle costing (LCC) is an investment calculation that takes intoaccount operating costs throughout the investee lifecycle. LCC calculations are mainly usedto evaluate investments that have no revenue side. Attempts to apply the LCC calculations forbuilding-related investments have occurred since the 1980s. Despite the advantages ofusing LCC calculations, use has not passed through in full. The main obstacles have beenidentified as a lack of relevant input data, and insufficient experience of workingwith LCC calculations.

The financial result of a transfer of ownership or external sale is to a great extent depend-ent on how the transfer is implemented and how the tax rules apply. The applicability of the Swedish tax rules regarding transfer of ownership in closely held companies largely de-pends on the Interpretation of the prerequisite, equal or similar activity, which can be found in section 57, clause 4 of the Swedish Income Tax Act.The ruling made by the Supreme Administrative Court in RÅ 2010 ref. 11 changed the concept of equal or similar activity. The ruling lead to that the shares in a closely held com-pany was qualified due to that the capital from the original company had been transferred to the operating company. According to the ruling the original company had been split into several companies, thus was the companies considered to carry out equal or similar activity.

The aim of this study is to enlighten how todays working environment affects young individuals descriptions of how to reach success in work life, now often titled as ?career?. Our purpose has been to analyse how the term career is constituted discursively among young people in jobs characterized by flexibility. The study is based on six qualitative interviews with young adults in the media industry, all between 20-30 years old. By utilising a Foucaultdian discourse analysis we want to expose how the competing and dominating discourses, that our interviewees? statements are based on, can be associated with a wider social context.  The study reveals that our interviewees describe career in two separate ways, both positively and negatively.

Collaboration is a form of organization on the rise in Sweden. For health care, it is ofinterest to collaborate with industry to ensure that needs for specialist education andtraining are met and that products developed meet the relevant requirements.Conversely, industry actors have an interest to have a close collaboration with healthcare in order to gain insight into customer needs, provide information about theirproducts and to test products in development.The starting point of this study is an agreement and regulatory framework for formsof collaboration between public health care in Sweden in general and thepharmaceutical industry, the medical device industry and the laboratory technologyindustry. The research questions concerns how this agreement has evolved and theprocess surrounding its emergence may contribute to knowledge about collaborationas a form of organization and the relationship to concepts such as legitimacy,corruption and institutional theory.By tracking the emergence of the current regulatory framework genealogicalthroughout history, the study uncovers how the agreements have played a role in andcontributed to the legitimization and institutionalization of collaboration practices andhow crises have changed the shape of the practices. A theoretical treatment ofrelevant concepts such as legitimacy, institutionalization of practices, corruption andstigmatization of organizations form the basis for an Interpretation and analysis of theprocess.The conclusions of the examination of the historical process that led to the currentagreements contribute to empirical knowledge of how crises and stigma affect thelegitimacy of collaboration practices and how the repair of legitimacy can be donesuccessfully after a crisis. The treatment of the empirical material is also a historicalsource for the development of ethics agreements between public health care andpharmaceutical industry and the medical industry in Sweden..

Kommunikation är ett viktigt redskap för att förmedla information och få kontakt med andra människor. Ett sätt att lösa de problem som uppstår i samtal med patienter som inte talar samma språk är att använda tolk. Tolken har två uppdrag eftersom han eller hon företräder både patient och vårdpersonal. Tolkens uppgift är att möjliggöra kommunikation mellan personer som inte talar samma språk, hans eller hennes roll är att vara neutral i det som sägs mellan patient och vårdpersonal. För att uppnå en nära relation till patienten behöver vårdpersonal och tolk vara engagerade och tillgängliga i kommunikationen med varandra och patienten.

I detta arbete presenteras en redovisning av Kurt Weill som kompositör under en tumultartad period (1927 - 33) av hans händelserika liv. Arbetet har jag skrivit ur en gitarrists och banjospelares ögon, och jag har i min redovisning av hans verk givit kortfattade beskrivningar om hur Weill kan ha gått tillväga då han komponerade för dessa knäppinstrument. Följaktligen har jag resonerat över varför han skrev för dessa instrument; vilka omständigheter och vilka personer som kan ha inspirerat honom till att göra detta. Syftet med detta har varit att samla kunskap till Interpretation och arrangering av hans verk, kunskap som jag sedan har använt i en konsert. Jag har även haft som mål att öka min egen kunskap om Weill som kompositör, och att kunna få andra att upptäcka kvalitéerna i hans kompositörskap.Efter att ha skaffat fördjupad kunskap om ett stort antal verk av Weill så har jag valt ut ett antal stycken att arrangera.

A Queer Reading of Charles Bukowski?s Women and Love is a dog from hellThis thesis aims to examine how the representation of gender is portrayed in relation to sex and power in Charles Bukowski?s novel Women and poetry collection Love is a dog from hell.The theoretical frame of the analysis is based on Judith Butler?s queer theory regarding the heterosexual matrix and gender performativity. The analysis consists of a textual comparison where a specific selection of poems is analysed parallel to the novel to see how they interact and how they oppose each other, through a queer reading.The analysis is divided in three parts where the first one discusses the construction of masculinity in Charles Bukowski?s protagonist Henry Chinaski and how this is presented differently in the two literary genres. The second part reveals how sex is presented in relation to power and how active and passive women are considered as sexually acceptable.

Freedom of religion or belief is indisputable in Human rights discourse, more discussed is exactly what it is that is included in the concept of freedom of religion or belief (in Swedish: religionsfrihet). This thesis focuses on the freedom of religion or belief in a European context, in particular on the European court of human rights and article 9 in the European convention for human rights. Some criticism has been directed against the Court to the effect that its practice and verdicts don't answer to the pronounced desire to develop a pluralistic and inclusive form of freedom of religion or belief.My aim is to examine, analyse and test three different theories, which all try to develop alternatives to the expression freedom of religion or belief, in relation to six verdicts from article 9 in Europe convention. My basic purpose is to try to find new ways of talking about freedom of religion or belief that might lead to a more inclusive, pluralistic and equal Interpretation of that concept.The three theories wich I use are elaborated by Richard Amesbury (associate professor at Claremont school of Theology); Hugo Strandberg (TD at Åbo Akademi) and Eberhard Herrmann (professor in philosophy of religion at Uppsala University); and Martha Nussbaum (professor of law and ethics at the University of Chicago). Jag har som examensarbete på master-nivå formgivit en sittmöbel med utgångspunkt från min uppväxt i Dalarna. Målet har varit att göra en filosofisk tolkning av mina minnen samt en hyllning till regionen, i synnerhet Borlänge där jag växt upp.Jag har under projektets gång gjort en resa både på ett mentalt och rent fysiskt plan tillbaka till den plats jag växt upp för att utforska mina minnen och därigenom skapa en plattform för mitt designarbete.För att nå mitt resultat har jag använt mig av designmetoder som ITK, intervjuer, skisser, studiebesök, materialtester, mockups samt modelleringsverktyget Rhino.Resultatet är en stol inspirerad av saker som bland annat Ornäs stugan och musikkulturen i Borlänge. Stolen består av en metallkonstruktion, trädetaljer vid fötterna samt armstöden och en sits i läder.For my thesis work on postgraduate level, I have designed a chair based on my upbringing in Dalarna.  In his book Wittgenstein on Rules and Private Language (1982) Saul Kripke claims that Wittgenstein argues for a certain form of scepticism in his book Philosophical Investigations (1953), namely a new form of philosophical scepticism, a result of Wittgenstein´s idea of language as language games. Nihilism, scepticism of meaning or of concept, constitutive scepticism are other commentators´ different names of the same phenomenon. The philosophy of Wittgenstein accounts for how our words, including the words of mathematics, have no meaning and there are no a priori justified objective facts as to what I mean about a word. We follow the rules blindly and without justification. We are unable to find any facts against this proposal.

There is respect for the history of dance and my aim is to find out how the history affects the dancing youth today. The design of the dance lesson is often of a traditional stereotypical manner, both didactic and methodic, and it rarely appears to be questioned. I have danced for almost 20 years and I am a part of this tradition of movements, music, language and way of ?being?. My ambition with this study is to go outside my own experience and offer insight and an overall picture of a, for the outsider, closed world.

Sweden has an obligation to report child abuse suspicions to Social Services. According to Socialtjänstlagen (swedish constitution) 1 § Chapter 14, all employees in agencies affecting children, such as schools, have a responsibility to report their suspicions. Research shows that many abuses are not reported. The consequence of this is that Social Services does not hear about all cases of abused and harmed children. One profession where reporting is mandated is school counselors.

My essay is about the latter period of Anne Charlotte Leffler?s authorship. In Part I of my essay, I describe her path from the 1880s, where she described femininity as a shortcoming, as writes Ingeborg Nordin-Hennel, towards the 1890s and towards describing femininity as a possibility. This development took place on two levels ? on an outer level, where all the woman writers in the late 1880s were influenced and where they were pushed out by the male writers, and on an inner level with Leffler herself.Her late literary works depict new and more independent types of women, and eroticism is given a more prominent position.

The purpose of this study was to find out how SISU reason about cohesion with respect to its own operations, as sports consultants.There is no previous research on how sports consultants using cohesion as a pedagogical tool. However, there is research on cohesion linked to sport. Earlier research sees cohesion as a multidimensional phenomenon. This means that multiple factors determine the experience of cohesion. Such factors include how how-knit the team or group are, individual and joint objectives and that the individuals share common experiences.
