Umbrella organizations, organizations that have other organizations as members, are in previous research described as arenas of conflicts with problematic decision-making and contradictory parallel action towards political decision-makers. However, the research within this subject is limited, and therefore the aim of this paper is to add knowledge to how such organizations in fact work. After conducting a case study at the trade association ESTOC this thesis challenge previous statements about umbrella organizations and conclude that there, under certain circumstances, may exist harmony within an umbrella organizations. The main implication, thus, is that we have to readdress umbrella organizations in quite another way to be able to make a more realistic Interpretation of collaborations in umbrella organizations..

This paper discusses the relationship between rhetoric and hermeneutics. It is a studyconducted through a generative method where two different rhetoric students haveanalyzed three rhetorical objects and afterwards have compared their results and theninterpreted the differences and similarities. The purpose is to find what makes anInterpretation legitimate and plausible and what binds rhetoric and hermeneuticstogether through meta analysis. The study shows that doxa is a fundamental elementthat connects rhetoric to hermeneutics and that it is more relevant to discussintersubjectivity than legitimacy, which is harder to define and achieve. An importantresult is also that the dialogue in the Interpretation process has been found to be acatalyst for new research findings and of increased knowledge..

This thesis deals with a Swedish shopping centre, NOVA, from a phenomenological point of view. Starting in my own experience of the architecture I discuss issues such as gender, consumerism and the image of the ideal society, the Heterotopia, as they appear to me in my studies of the building.Divided into three different themes I then discuss the aspects I?ve found through my meeting with the architecture in comparison to a number of texts on the subject.My phenomenological analysis, combined with earlier research, presents to me a number of aspects more evident than others, as I do my own Interpretation of the building and its architecture..

Children today are exposed more thanever to images trough various media. Children?s culture in the digital world has, troughgames and apps, become more cross-generational than literature. Unfortunately, there aremany digital books that loose the story, as the creator gets lost in technology and/or ineducation and morals.

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether it is possible for SCA to update their stand register with use of digital aerial photos photographed with a Zeiss/Intergraph DMC. ?Updating? in this study implies the delineation of stands and estimating stand variables such as average stand height, volume density, stand volume, and tree species composition in order to identify stands which can be of current interest for thinning. The study also includes how the aerial photo material and experience of the interpreter can influence the quality of the interpreted variables. The aerial photo Interpretations were made by both experienced and inexperienced interpreters.

The purpose of this paper is to interpret two stories of creation and compare them to each other with focus on the gender perspective. The Interpretation is generally limited to the creation of mankind and how women are represented in each particular story.  The stories I?m interpreting is the story of creation from the Holy Bible, the so called genesis, and from The Nag Hammadi Library?s story of creation called On the origin of the world. I want to show the difference between these two stories when it comes to the women?s position and in what level she is described.

This paper attempts to display how five teachers of social studies use and relate to the policy documents and their instructions on gender. To penetrate the subject, five teachers were intreviewed. Each interview focused on how the curriculum attempts to guide teachers regarding gender, sex differences and equality of opportunity. The collected information was processed, analyzed and discussed using gender studies and discourse theory.The results show that the Interpretation and usage of the curriculum is very subjective and varies greatly between all the interviewed teachers. Their personal Interpretation proves to be crucial when it comes to making reality of the stated goals in the curriculum, concerning actively working towards equality of opportunity between sexes.

In the 1969 Le Thor seminar, Heidegger stated that his philosophical journey could be characterized by three different themes: meaning, truth, place. The first two of these have been the subject of countless studies and discussions, but the question of place is still relatively unexplored in Heidegger?s thought, despite the increased interest for this topic in his writings. Even though scholars like Jeff Malpas, Edward Casey, Stuart Elden and Miguel de Beistegui have written books and essays on the importance of the conception of place in Heidegger?s thinking, there are still many important aspects of this theme to be discussed, given the importance Heidegger himself ascribed to this topic.In this essay, I therefore wish to pose the question of how one can understand the relation between place and the role of tragedy in Heidegger?s conception of truth.

Min studie presenterar en undersökning av en tolkningsprocess vid instuderingen av ett nyskrivet musikverk. Syftet är att beskriva det musikaliska och diskursiva samtal som pågår mellan parterna som deltar i denna process. Studien baseras på en dokumentation av mitt eget arbete och en kvalitativ analys av detta material. Som ett genomgående metodiskt grepp vid studiet av materialet har jag använt H.-G. Gadamers dialektiska hermeneutik som tolkningsmodell.

Ett syfte med studien är att introducera en metod för komparativ kulturarvsanalys. Metoden skall kunna användas för att analysera hur kulturarvsvärden värderas och hur de används i Interpretation och presentation. Metoden som prövas skall uppfylla studiens övriga tre syften: att genom en nulägesanalys studera hur de olika kulturarvsvärdena i och kring Kinda kanal uppfattas, värderas, vårdas och visas, för att mot denna bakgrund jämföra liknande områden nationellt och internationellt och finna konstruktiva uppslag till framtida utvecklingsplaner och möjligheter för upplevelseområdet Kinda kanal..

Denna studie har som syfte att synliggöra, beskriva och reflektera kring de faktorer som konstituerar fenomenet Interpretationsprocess. För att spegla fenomenet från två håll genomförs två Interpretationer av en grafiskt noterad solosång, och för att kunna kvalitetsbeskriva förloppen i denna praktikbaserade studie, används en metod där interpreten pendlar mellan rollen som praktiker och forskare, och reflekterar i och över handling.        I förhållande till text och notation har den ena Interpretationsprocessen sin utgångspunkt i sångarens livsvärld samt dennes tolkning av några symboler, medan den andra tar sin utgångspunkt i sångarens upplevelse av några bilmekanikers livsvärldar, samt deras tolkningar av samma symboler. Som metodisk grund används fenomenologin, vars två grundläggande teser är: en vändning mot sakerna, samt en följsamhet mot sakerna. Det som undersöks är interpretens erfarenheter och det sätt på vilket fenomenet Interpretationsprocess framträder, och både verbala samt klingande exempel på denna levda och upplevda erfarenhet redovisas. Resultatet jämförs även med tidigare forskning inom liknande områden.        Resultatet visar att några av de centrala faktorer som konstituerar de båda Interpretations-processerna är textanalysens (i vid bemärkelse) betydelse, närvaron av publikframförande- och kommunikationstanken, växlingen mellan praktik och reflektion, samt det egna skapandets omfattning och karaktär.

My thesis is an attempt to clarify the purpose and workings of art in relation to the artist, his/her fellows and society. Can art be considered as a uniting force? If so, where does its unifying quality lie? How does art connect with the individual, the community and society? Article 4.1(h) in the Rome I regulation establishes which law that will be applicable on contracts concerning financial instruments concluded in multilateral systems. The main problem is that most contracts concluded within these systems have standard clauses which contain a clause on the applicable law. If this is the case, Article 3.1 in the Rome I Regulation is applicable instead. This problem makes it difficult to find a need for article 4.1(h) if it will only be applicable in exceptional cases. However, the legal position on this matter is still unclear since the Rome I Regulation has just been put into force.

How do men who define themselves as feminists create and maintain an identity as men? In this qualitative study four men involved in feminist organizations were interviewed about their views on women, men, sex and feminism. Theories of language, psychoanalysis and ethics were utilized to further our understanding of the material these men produce in their effort to define themselves. Our object of study is the text, which we believe holds the key to understanding how an individual shapes his world and himself. The result is our Interpretation of the text and its underlying mechanics.
