The internet has fundamentally changed the way people communicate. With all the information that we are sharing over the internet, and the ways which companies want to use our information, the importance of keeping our private information secure has increased. This thesis aims to discover what attitudes internet users have against privacy on the internet, and what ? if anything ? they are doing to protect their personal privacy.We distributed an online survey to internet users in the Stockholm area, and conducted three interviews with persons in our target population. The results of these studies show that people in general are very aware of privacy concerns on the internet, but that their attitudes toward how important personal privacy on the internet is, differ somewhat..

This study is based on an examination of students? habits of using the Internet in formal and informal environments. The focus within this study is on what kind of activities students use the Internet for and how and if their teacher connect the students actual usage of the Internet to base the education in school on it. What we have discovered in this report is that the student in this examination uses the Internet as a tool for communicative and entertaining purposes. Though, the use of the Internet is different depending on which physical environment it is situated in.

Det huvudsakliga syftet med denna C-uppsats är att undersöka hur teleoperatörer anpassar sin verksamhet för att bemöta den förändrade användningen av mobiltelefonen. Studien har undersökt hur operatörerna hanterar kunder som vill använda mobila tjänster istället för fasta. Mobiltelefonen används idag av teleoperatörens kunder för mer än bara samtal och textmeddelanden. För att besvara frågeformulering har intervjuer med fem teleoperatörer som tillsammans äger mer än 97 % av den svenska telemarknaden. Intervjuerna visar att teleoperatörer är mycket medvetna om de förändringar som har ägt rum och att de försöker vinna tid för att anpassa sin verksamhet, produkter och tjänster för den nya användningen av mobiltelefonen.

Utvecklingen av IP-telefoni har under de senaste åren gått fort fram och idag kan en hel IP-lösning utformas efter ett företags specifika behov. Syftet med uppsatsen är att ur ett tekniskt, socialt och ekonomiskt perspektiv undersöka tre företags införandeprocess av skilda IP-lösningar för kommunikation. Detta har vi gjort genom intervjuer med personer på CC-Systems, Softcom och ICA. Vi har kommit fram till att valet av IP-lösning och dess funktioner beror på företagets verksamhet och dess behov. Företagen använder beroende av införandets omfattning och teknikens komplexitet olika strategier för att etablera tekniken i företaget och detta har gjorts olika framgångsrikt.

PSTN is the common standard that most of us use for telephony today. The objective for the study is to simplify the choice between PSTN and IP-Telephony for the Swedish private customer user group. The project is supposed to answer the following questions. - How easy is it to start using IP-telephony with Skype? - How is the quality of IP-telephony compared to PSTN? - Are all services provided by PSTN available and accessible using the IP-solution? - How are the usability and the availability of support with IP telephony? - Is IP-telephony a cheaper solution and in that case under which circumstances? Within the project a collection of practical and theoretical tests have been performed to be able to form an opinion on the IP-solution in the following areas, installation, function, quality, usability, costs, accessibility and security.

Enda sedan den först introducerades på 1870-talet har telefonen spelat en viktigt roll i kommunikationen människor mellan. Utvecklingen inom telekombranschen har skett i ett rasande snabbt tempo under de senaste 30-40 år, och idag är det vanligare med en mobiltelefon än en fast telefon. En populär variant av mobiltelefonen är den så kallade smarta mobilen som bland annat gör det möjligt att nyttja mer avancerade program och tjänster än i en traditionell mobiltelefon. Sedan början av 2000-talet har röstsamtal över internet, så kallad VoIP, ökat allt mer. Fördelen med VoIP är främst att samtal mellan datorer i regel är helt kostnadsfria vilket gör dessa tjänster utmärkta för långdistanssamtal. I och med att antalet smarta mobiler ökar samtidigt som marknaden för VoIP växer har mobiloperatörerna börjat se detta som ett större hot mot sina intäkter.

The usage of internet is growing significantly every year in today?s society and whether you like or not, the internet has an influence in your life. It is therefore important to find out how people are affected by its use. We have through our study interviewed a number of people that uses internet on a day to day basis, who have agreed to live without internet access for a period of time. We started out by interviewing these people about their internet usage and what it means to them, then proceeded with their non-internet access period.

IPTV är en företeelse som under de senaste åren har tagit fart i sin utveckling och beräknas fortsätta växa i popularitet i framtiden. Genom en sammanslagning av olika branscher med olika tekniker har detta, fortfarande mycket nya, område bildats och fortfarande pågår en konvergens av de inblandade teknikerna. IP och TV tillsammans öppnar möjligheterna för att skapa avancerade tjänster som erbjuder kunder full interaktion via sin fjärrkontroll. I dagsläget erbjuder operatörer tjänster som Video-on-Demand och TV à la carte, där kundens behov och krav sätts i centrum genom att det tidigare fasta kanalutbudet förändras för att användas i en maximalt flexibel miljö. I framtiden spås även att utbudet av tjänster som erbjuder större interaktivitet att växa och bildar tillsammans med IP-telefoni och Internet en möjlighet för operatörer att erbjuda tre sammanslagna tjänster i ett paket, kallat Triple Play.Med ny teknik uppstår frågor kring säkerhet och hotbilder och hur arbetet med detta kan komma att bedrivas.

Vi har valt att titta på genomförandefrågor i detaljplaner. Främst har vi riktat in oss på genomförandebeskrivningen. Hur omfattande är den och vad tar man upp? Är den lätt att förstå för alla berörda? Hur kan den förändras om den pågående PBL-utredningen går igenom? För att se om det är skillnad mellan kommuner har vi tittat på sex olika. Det är Uddevalla, Trollhättan och Kungälv i Västra Götalands Län samt Kungsbacka, Varberg och Falkenberg i Hallands Län.
