In the beginning of the 1860s, an important railway was built between Malmö and Stockholm. The railway became one of the most important projects that would influence the entire southern Sweden. The railway line was located to areas outside the ordinary routes and a number of communities were built up along its way.Älmhult was one of the communities that was built up due to the railway. In the beginning there were only a few farms and a station, but a community developed and the village grew. In 1901 the village became a small market town, which was an important event.

Det vi har kommit fram till är att Internets inverkan på fastighetsmäklarbranschens struktur har varit mer begräsad än på resemäklarbranschen, då den förstnämnda branschen har högre inträdeshinder, främst i form av hårdare reglering. Fastighetsmäklarbranschens utbud är koncentrerat till två portaler. Sökningen efter ett specifikt objekt via Internet underlättas och detaljerade data kan erhållas hemifrån under dygnets alla 24 timmar. Detta innebär tidsbesparing för fastighetsmäklarna som kan ägna sig mer åt kundvård. I resemäklarbranschen finns ingen motsvarande portal, vilket medför tidskrävande sökprocesser för att hitta den specifika tjänsten.

Jag hade främst en förhoppning med detta arbete och det var att försöka öka medvetenheten hos en grupp flickor i tonåren kring risker med Internet. Dessa flickor, 15 till antalet, var mellan 13 och 14 år. Med risker menar jag allt sådant som kan skada en människa psykiskt, fysiskt eller emotionellt. Vi arbetade med olika uppgifter såsom gruppdiskussioner och olika värderingsövningar. Till min glädje fann jag att de flesta i försöksgruppen var rätt upplysta i detta ämne och framförallt intresserade.

The study seeks to from professionals perspectives describe and analyze the beliefs they have about women with intellectual disabilities and their pregnancy and motherhood. We will also discuss and reflect on the possible support that professionals find important for women to handle pregnancy and motherhood. The information has been gathered through interviews with five different professions that have come in contact with the audience in their work. In our material we found three distinctive perspectives: a child´s perspective, a parent´s perspective and a community perspective. From these perspectives, we could find many similarities in the informants´ perceptions, which resulted in different themes.

The aim of this study was to increase our understanding of how secondary schools handle the different forms of bullying in different arenas. The questions we were asking us was how schools work to prevent and treat against bullying based on plans of action, how the schools are responsible in the bullying issues and how the schools and welfare officers have taken account of sex linkage in bullying issues. Our study is based on the result from seven qualitative semi- structured interviews with secondary school welfare officers in Sweden.  The study results show that traditional form of bullying takes place through verbal assault, physical violence, ostracism and glances. Welfare officers coincide that there are gender differences in the approach of bullying.

I en tid där allt fler människor bosätter sig i städer har syftet med denna studie varit att undersöka människors gränsdragningar i det urbana och framför allt vilka gränsteknologier som omgärdar det egna bostadsområdet. För att besvara studiens frågeställningar har Charles Tillys (2004) teori om beständig ojämlikhet och Richard Sennetts (2008) teori om sökandet efter gemenskap i den moderna staden varit givande utgångspunkter. Det fall som studerats är Täby kommun norr om Stockholm och i ett vidare syfte har gränsdragningar i kommunen med hjälp av Blakely & Snyders (1997) teori om Gated Communities jämförts med inhägnade bostadsområdens fysiska murar. Genomförandet har utgjorts av kvalitativa samtalsintervjuer i kombination med en observation på plats vilket lett fram till resultatet att det finns både enande och åtskiljande faktorer som omgärdar Täby. Fysiska gränser har visat sig vara det geografiska avståndet och upplåtelseformer och socialt har viljan av att bo nära familjen visat sig vara en stark faktor till att sociala flyttmönster både skapas och upprätthålls.

Internet har kommit att bli en stor del av människans liv. 5,3 miljoner svenskar använder Internet varje dag. Användandet växer ständigt och detta är något som kan betraktas i uppkomsten av nya tjänster. Den ålderskategorin som använder Internet i mobilen i störst utsträckning är 20-29 år, där 18 procent av denna grupp surfar i mobilen dagligen.Syftet med studien är att undersöka unga vuxnas, i åldern 20-25 år, tankar och attityder kring hur tillgängligheten av en ökad Internetuppkoppling påverkar det fysiska mötet. Även attityder om mobiltelefonens uppkoppling till Internet och dess påverkan studeras.

Rasistisk "nyhetsmedia" på Internet har växt i samband med den alltmer framträdande rasistiska politiken i Europa och de diskurser som skribenterna på webbplatserna producerar berör oundvikligen många människors vardag. Dessa webbplatser utpekas i Sverige ofta av massmedia som "de där rasisterna" i en bekväm distansering, och mindre arbete görs för att förstå webbplatsernas faktiska roll i reproduceringen av strukturell och institutionell diskriminering i samhället. Denna studie undersökte under en 3 månaders period den rasistiska webbplatsn Avpixlats uppladdade "nyheter" samt kommentarer som medlemmar skrev på dessa. Empirin analyserades utifrån teori om andrafiering och intersektionella perspektiv inom en kritiskt diskursanalytisk ram. Studiens resultat visade på hur rasistisk "nyhetsmedia" på Internet reproducerar andrafiering och diskriminerande föreställningar i linje med diskursiva strategier som tidigare forskning påvisat hos annan media.

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to investigate which rolesthe mobile library has to its users in a small community in Sweden.To reach this purpose I have focused on the following two researchquestions:? Which are the different functions, social, cultural, educational orinformation-based, that the mobile library offers its users andwhich of these are used in reality?? What purposes are there for the mobile library and how it is usedby it?s visitors?To answer these questions I have interviewed four users of amobile library and I have held e-mail interviews with librarians incharge of a mobile library as well as the head of the department ofculture and peoples health in the community. As a base for myanalyse I have also used a pilot study which I performed earlier inthe spring of 2011.My theoretical framework is based on the model of the publiclibrary?s different roles made by Marianne Andersson and DorteSkot-Hansen.The result of this study show?s that a mobile library isn?t verydifferent from a permanently located public library. This study investigates how the host community of Tenerife perceives the socio-cultural effects of tourism on the island. The method chosen for the study was qualitative interviews which were performed with six respondents, each born in Spain, living permanently in Tenerife and employed within service-related occupations. The interview material was interpreted and handled according to a hermeneutic approach. The results of the study showed that the respondents had an over-all positive perception of tourism. Perceived positive socio-cultural effects were related to cultural and linguistic influences.

In January 2004 two members of the Pentecostal community Knutby Filadelfia in Uppsalamunicipality, Sweden, were shot by their fellow member Sara Svensson. With a qualitative hermeneutic case study as the principal method this essay takes on the task of not only investigating if and how Stockholm Syndrome can be used as a model for interpreting and understanding the violent incident in Knutby Filadelfia, but also to see if the unique characteristic of the Knutby incident can tell us something about Stockholm Syndrome as a model for understanding violence in religious movements. The material shows Stockholm Syndrome as having been present in Knutby because of among other things, a mileu, leadership and theology that supported the normalization of abuse and the enabling and maintaining of self punishment in the community. While Stockholm Syndrome still is a controversial theory this study shows that it can be used as a powerful tool in the understanding of violence in religious contexts..

In todays' society e-commerce is growing at a rapid speed. 4,6 % of all retail sales on the Swedish market are done on the Internet. In the makeup category, which will be the category of focus in this study, 9 % of all the sales were done on the Internet during the last quarter of 2011. As it is today many suppliers do not have enough knowledge about e-commerce and instead of focusing on the development of the channel the focus should instead be on the development of the users of the channel.The purpose of this study is to understand the buying process with respect to the existing theories. The focus will be on the two stages information search and evaluation of alternatives.

På svenska myndigheter arbetar man aktivt med att erbjuda sina kunder möjligheter att göra ärenden via Internet. Försäkringskassans egna studier tyder dock på att personer som inte har svenska som modersmål är en grupp som i stället väljer att komma in på kontoren för att utföra sina ärenden, även om ärendena är relativt enkla. Den här studien undersöker hur språkteknologiska hjälpmedel skulle kunna underlätta för den här gruppen att använda tjänster på Internet.För att ta reda på hur nysvenskar själva ser på sin kontakt med myndigheter hölls fokusgrupper där deras erfarenheter diskuterades. Fokusgrupperna resulterade i tre scenarier som illustrerar hur situationer där en person med språksvårigheter försöker göra sina ärenden på Internet skulle kunna se ut. Några olika språkteknologiska verktyg och hur de skulle kunna användas på Internet diskuteras mot bakgrund av scenarierna.
