Dementia may cause impairment of linguistic abilities, affecting both production and comprehension, which in turn affects communication (Mahendra & Hopper, 2012: Perkins, Whithworth & Lesser, 1998). The aim of the present study was to investigate and describe the communication strategies in everyday conversations between people with dementia and their interlocutors, and to describe the identified interaction phenomena based on a participatory perspective.The study was conducted at a home for people with dementia. Three people with known dementia and two health professionals participated in the study. Everyday interactions were filmed, and then transcribed and analyzed according conversation analytic principles. The transcribed data was also analyzed with ideas from positioning theory.The present study highlights the presence of trouble sources in communication between the person with dementia and carers and how these are handled by the participants in terms of strategies, competence and positioning.

The purpose of this Bachelor?s thesis is twofold. Firstly it aims to make a contribution to the understanding of how five Swedish Diocesan libraries have carried out the digitizing of their rare book and manuscript collections. Problem areas related to this activity are also investigated. Secondly, it aims to examine the relative guidelines and standardization norms, which have been formulated on a national basis.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att jämföra hur grunderna för ansvarsfrihet från skadestånd vid fullgörelsehinder är uppbyggda i olika normsystem för att utifrån en komparativ analys komma fram till vilket system som är bäst tillämpbart i en situation liknande den i scenariot med den försenade vaccinleveransen som jag beskrivit i inledningen till uppsatsen.De regler jag valt att studera för en komparativ jämförelse är kontrollansvaret i den svenska köplagen 27 § och CISG art. 79, modellagarna PECL och Unidroit Principles regler om force majeure och hardship, standardklausulerna i ICC 2003 Force Majeure and Hardship Clauses samt den engelska läran om frustration. Att jag valt att studera teorin om hardship beror på att teorin är starkt sammankopplad till reglerna om force majeure och kontrollansvar. This Bachelor's thesis in Environmental Science studies the quality of an index of performance measurement of Swedish municipalities' sustainability governance offered by the environmental magazine Miljöaktuellt. Executed for six consecutive years, this evaluation is arguably the most comprehensive and widely spread local sustainability assessment in Sweden. Contextualizing this quantitative measurement tool in the paradigm of New Public Management, the research questions posed are: 'to what extent does the index employed by Miljöaktuellt correspond to the requirements of a set of quality criteria for sustainability assessment?' and 'is the index appropriate as a measure of, or a goal for, Swedish municipalities' internal sustainability efforts?' Through the perspective of evaluation theory, Miljöaktuellt's index is seen as a performance evaluation, thus categorizing this study as a meta-evaluation. Through a qualitative thematic approach, the index is analyzed using the 8 BellagioSTAMP-principles that were developed as tools for assessing quality of sustainability assessments as themes for the analysis.

The purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to examine how public libraries in Sweden handles their weeding procedures. A series of questions are asked: How does libraries in Sweden motivate weeding? What principles constitutes the procedure of weeding? Which aspects are given most importance when weeding is decided. How does views on weeding differ between libraries of different sizes? How does longer or shorter professional experience influence the view on weeding? The study was done through an online questionnaire which was sent to a number of staff members on different libraries via e-mail.

This thesis is an analysis based on the problem of defining a humanitarian intervention and argues when or not, it is appropriate to operate it. The interest lies in finding out whether the argument itself is justifiable,not whether the act of interference was justifiable. My hypothesis is that both private and international operatios misuse the definition "humanitarian interventions" as an excuse to trespass the laws of war. Behind the idea of protecting human rights, freedom and democracy, is the liberalist idea of all individuals being equal. The respect for their freedom and rights drives outside actors to intervene when crimes are comitted against them.

Som en följd av det ökade behovet av global kapitalanskaffning har kravet på jämförbar redovisning mellan länder ökat. EU har därför som målsättning att skapa en mer harmoniserad och effektiv kapitalmarknad inom unionen. I juli 2002 antog Europaparlamentet och rådet en förordning om tillämpning av internationella redovisningsstandarder, IAS-förordningen. Sedan 1 januari, 2005 är det krav på att alla noterade europeiska företag i koncernredovisningen skall tillämpa de internationella redovisningsstandarderna, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) och International Accounting Standards (IAS). IAS 39 standarden uppfattas som den svåraste och mest komplexa av IAS/IFRS standarderna.

The aim of this thesis is to ascertain how primary school teachers would like to improve their mathematics teaching. The central questions for this research are:In what ways do teachers want to improve their mathematics teaching?How do the teachers justify their statements?What main features can be distinguished out of the teachers answers?Three interviews and seven surveys have been used to collect information from a total of nine teachers, at one primary school. Teaching pupils from preschool to sixth grade. The results have been analysed, interpreted and discussed using a drama pedagogical perspective, inspired by a holistic approach to learning.

Detta examensarbete på D-nivå beskriver skapandet av BI-applikationer och analys av treolika BI-system. Projekten har givits av Cederroth International AB som är ett av Sverigesstörsta företag inom dagligvaruhandeln. Uppsatsen ger en inblick i vad BI är och hur BIfungerar i företagsvärlden. Det ges även en stegvis beskrivning i hur en applikation skapasmed hjälp av BI-systemet QlikView och analyser av BI-systemen QlikView, SQL Server 2005och BusinessObjects XI om huruvida dessa uppfyller de funktionella kraven på ett BI-verktyg.Bakgrundsinformation om Cederroth och dess system för affärsdatahantering ges också iuppsatsen.Den BI-applikation som beskrivs i denna uppsats involverar finsk återförsäljningsdata.Stegen från grunddata till färdig applikation beskrivs och förklaras ingående i uppsatsen.Analysen av de tre BI-systemen som därefter gjorts har beskrivits i en del därgrundinformation följs av en analys med hänsyn till de funktionella aspekterna i BI-systemen.Denna analys resulterade i ett likvärdigt resultat för de tre BI-systemen. Med fysisk aktivitet avses all kroppsrörelse som är en följd av skelettmuskulaturens sammandragning och som resulterar i ökad energiförbrukning. Det är bevisat att regelbunden fysisk aktivitet har en mycket positiv verkan på många av kroppens system. Därför är syftet med studien att undersöka samband mellan typ av motivation och fysisk aktivitet bland studenter. Fysisk aktivitet och motivation har därför kopplats till teorier, framförallt self- determination theory (SDT). Resultaten framtogs genom en kvantitativ metod som bestod av en enkätundersökning.

Computational thinking was brought to the forefront in 2006 by Jeannette Wing. Computational thinking is a problem solving method that uses computer science techniques.The thesis is analyzing computational thinking and how it could be applied to graph theory. Characteristics and main fields from computational thinking is being analysed. This analysis is applied to graph theory to see the potential in developing a proposal for how an exercise can look for an introductory course in discrete data types. Only basic knowledge of graphs is required to perform the exercise.

Climate changing is a growing problem for many countries and communities over the world. The cities has a huge work to deal with in their reforcements of their cities to be resilient ones. This thesis makes an effort to investigate and illuminate some of the problem the cities has to solve related to flooding, hazards, erosions, rising sea levels and crotches. This thesis will help to find solutions that international and national efforts has produced and handed out to each other. A lot of communities are charing their excellent tools that works for them.

Although Lean has received an increased amount of attention in the service context, research still has not established how successfully Lean manages to increase service productivity; since service productivity consists of both efficiency and quality. Research regarding productivity discusses the risk of a tradeoff between efficiency and quality in service production processes. Therefore, this thesis aims to explore if the tradeoff in a production setting with low variability in demand and low customer participation exists, after Lean has been implemented. With a qualitative approach, a case study has been conducted at Scandinavian Airlines Ground Handling to evaluate the effects of Lean in the baggage handling process. The result of the study shows that the tradeoff has not been overcome; efficiency has increased at the expense of quality.

This study investigated the effect different contexts have on personality items when they are framed more neutrally. The study was based on a five-factor personality inventory originating from International Personality Item Pool. The inventory consisted of 50 original and 50 neutral personality items and in addition 28 items measuring social desirability. The sample consisted of 150 students from the Department of Psychology, Lund. The students were divided into three instruction groups differing in context.
