Infringement of intellectual property rights often causes significant economic damage. The problem with illegal activity concerning counterfeiting is constantly increasing. The development has lead to constitute an extensive international activity which is harmful for intellectual propery owners, consumers and the society in general. Competing products tend to be increasingly similar to each other, with rather similar marketing-, sales-, and pricingstrategies. As a result, the trademark strongly affects consumers? selection-process during purchase.

This paper develops a theory for understanding negotiation situations involving states and indigenous peoples. Using relevant constructivist theory as a starting point, the paper develops a theory about understanding the relationship between power and culture implicit in the concept of the state. This relationship is examined in negotiations situations involving states and indigenous peoples. States are constituted by social structure and are representatives of the national culture. At the same time states are actors within the international system and a part of the culture of Westphalia.

Emission of nitrogen oxides as well as carbon monoxides is an inevitable result of combustion. A Swedish law "Law of environmental fee for emissions of nitrogen oxides as a result of energy production" (lagen om miljöavgift på utsläpp av kväveoxider vid energiproduktion (SFS 1990:613)) controls the emission of NOx from energy production by a system of fees. The system has resulted in a strong approach toward less emissions of NOx among the energy production plants. High emission levels, today exceeding 52 mg/MJsupplied fuel, leads to costs for energy production companies. This paper examines possibilities to reduce the emissions of NOx by optimization of the SNCR-technique in a biofuel fired heat and power plant.

Organtransplantation är för vissa svårt sjuka individer den enda möjliga behandlingen till ett fortsatt liv. För dessa individer är väntan på organtransplantation av lever, hjärta eller lunga ofta en oviss väntan på en livsviktig operation. Denna väntan innebär en förändring och begränsning i individens vardag och påverkar inte bara individen själv utan även närstående. Detta är en upplevelse få personer kan föreställa sig. Syftet är att beskriva upplevelsen hos vuxna individer som väntar på transplantation av livsviktiga organ; lever, hjärta och lunga.

Bakgrund: En viktig del i att jobba som sjuksköterska är att kunna förse patienter med god omvårdnad. Att jobba i en operationssal innebär att jobba enligt ett tidsschema där de olika yrkesgrupperna ofta jobbar parallellt med varandra för att uppnå hög effektivitet. Operationssjuksköterskor ansvarar för hygien och sterilitet under operation och mötet med en vaken patient blir ofta kort och intensivt. Man arbetar med en patient i gången vilket möjliggör ett personcentrerat vårdande. Syfte: syftet med studien var att beskriva operationssjuksköterskors upplevelser av patientkontakt.

Prostata cancer (PC) är den vanligaste cancerformen hos män i Sverige med 10 000 nya fall varje år. I Sverige opereras över 2000 män för PC årligen. Vanliga sidoeffekter efter operationen är impotens och inkontinens. Kunskap hos sjuksköterskor om hur inkontinens och impotens psykiskt påverkar proststata cancer patienter och hur patienter upplever dessa är liten. Bristande kunskap om detta kan innebära att många patienters problem inte uppmärksammas av vården i tid, som kan innebära stort lidande för dessa patienter.Syfte med studie är att belysa patientens upplevelse av att leva med dem två vanligaste komplikationer, impotens och urininkontinens, efter prostata operation.

The purpose of this thesis was to study Holmen?s possible future ownership, concerning their forestland in Sweden. We have compared the strategy of the present owning of forests with three different alternatives. These three alternatives are: 1) selling all the forestland, 2) establish a new company which owns the forest where Holmen is the major stockholder and finally 3) an alternative were the two northerly regions are sold. We used Holmen?s annual account from the year 2002 as a bare year and made a reconstruction of the annual account in the three different alternatives.

I media har internationella kunskapsmätningar uppmärktsamamts och visat att Sveriges elever har presterat sämre över tid i specifikt en internationell kunskapsmätning, Programme for International Student Assessment, PISA. I och med att resultaten har fått en negativ inverkan på skolan är det intressant att studera internationella undersökningar. Syftet med studien är att synliggöra varför internationella undersökningar genomförs, motivering till ämnesval och orsaker till elevers resultat i främst två undersökningar, PISA och International Civic and Citizenship Education Study, ICCS. Följande frågeställningar genomsyrar undersökningen:Vad är motiveringen till att internationella undersökningar ska genomföras?Hur motiveras ämnesvalet som testas i dem internationella undersökningarna?Vilka orsaker tar rapporterna upp till elevernas resultat i PISA och ICCS?För att besvara ovanstående frågeställningar används en litteraturstudie för att analysera fyra av skolverkets rapporter.

Artros är en sjukdom som blir vanligare med stigande ålder och drabbar både män och kvinnor. Sjukdomen påverkar en persons dagliga liv på många sätt och smärta är det vanligaste symtomet. En total höftprotesoperation är den vanligaste behandlingen vilket reducerar smärtan, ökar personens livskvalitet och möjligheter att utföra dagliga aktiviteter. Syftet med studien var att undersöka patienters upplevelser av att genomgå en total höftprotesoperation. Denna studie genomfördes med en kvalitativ ansats och data samlades in med semi strukturerade intervjuer.

The intention of this essay is to study the Swedish General Staff as a learning organisation during the period of 1914-1918 based on the theoretical work developed by the philosopher Bertil Rolf. Previous international research on the Prussian/German General Staff has shown that it is considered to be the first learning organisation in history. The Swedish General Staff was based on the German General Staff model and the focus of this study is to compare the development the tactics in Germany and Sweden regarding defence and attack in trench warfare. The questions are: How were the possibilities for gathering and analysing informa-tion affected by the war? Which conclusions were made for trench warfare in Swedish conditions? What experiences from the war and exercises in Swedish army were implemented in manuals and training?The conclusion of the study is that the Swedish General Staff was functioning as a learning organisation during the WWI through the ability to follow the international development, mainly in the Central Powers, and by modifying the experiences to the prevailing Swedish strategic and tactical conditions.

En ruptur av främre korsbandet leder till instabilitet samt funktionsnedsättning i knäet. Det råder i dagsläget delade meningar om behandlingsmetoderna vid denna skada. Oavsett om skadan behandlas operativt eller konservativt så har sjukgymnasten en viktig roll i rehabiliteringen. Patienter kan själva välja var de vill få sin vård, vilket kan leda till att erfarenheten av skadan ser olika ut mellan sjukgymnaster. Detta kan resultera i att synen på operativ kontra konservativ behandling ser olika ut.

Bakgrund: Hjärtoperationer förekommer över hela världen. Förutom den genetiska faktorn så ökar antalet insjuknanden delvis på grund av välfärdssamhället. Studier har visat att personer med hjärtsjukdom upplever ökad oro vid vardagliga aktiviteter. På grund av oron är informationen som ges till patienter mycket viktig. Syfte: Belysa patienters upplevelser av information inför planerad hjärtoperation.

The State Institution for Education of Feebleminded Girls was one of the two swedish educational institutions established under state management in the 1920s and came to be the starting point for further government operations for the mentally deficient. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the activities of the State Institution for Education of Feebleminded Girls, out of what needs the institution filled in Sweden?s care for the mentally deficient. The institution has tried to be understood from the view of eugenics and the perspective of children that was current during the 1900s first half.To fulfill the purpose of the study, the archives for the State Institution for Education of Feebleminded Girls was studied and analyzed with basis of previous research on Sweden?s care for the mentally deficient and the impact from eugenics and Sweden?s child perspective.The study shows that the State Institution for Education of Feebleminded Girls mostly existed to educate students and adapt them to the community, which the institution did by education, disciplinary interventions and sterilizations.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the implications and challenges of intercultural communication. An in-depth study was performed of the perspectives from people who work within an international organization. How they experience cultural differences and how they handle them, in particular when it comes to communication. Also, their perceptions of communicative competence were explored. The study was carried out at Svalorna India Bangladesh, at the Swedish office in Lund.

Despite the fact that the issue has been discussed for several decades, there are still no rules in Sweden mandating political parties and candidates to disclose received donations. Because of this lack of transparency, Sweden is not fulfilling some of its international obligations and has fallen behind in the international trend to increase the transparency of election campaign finance. The lack of disclosure rules in Sweden has led to extensive criticism, most notably from the Council of Europe´s group of states against corruption, Greco, who criticized Sweden in light of the guidelines on the subject from the Council of Europe. At this writing, a new proposal for disclosure rules is being prepared at the Department of Justice, DoJ. The proposal is to be presented in spring 2013.
