This paper is about how transport companies in the future will be able to adapt their activity to an environmentally sustainable development without the effect of negative company economic consequences. Today, the environmental threat is a global problem and knowledge about that effluent of carbon dioxide have a negative impact on the climate is generally known. A transport system that works well is important for Sweden, but the sector has a negative impact on the environment. Regulation and legislation for increased environmental requirements often meets resistance and fear that the work will be hampered by increased costs for environmental work that can lead to an international decrease in competitiveness. The transport companies have outside pressure from the society to do something about the environmental issue, however the companies? customers are not ready to pay a higher price for environmental work.

Earlier models that measured de facto harmonization of international accounting mainly used indices and other related statistical models. Those approaches do not account for the relative importance of individual balance sheet items or expense items being harmonized. This paper therefore proposes a different approach using Runsten?s (1998) permanent measurement bias model. That way it is possible to quantify the harmonization process by accounting for differences among companies.

This Projects goal was to develop a manual, which was to be used as help for a fishing company in the making of an SMS (Safety Management System). The manual was going to follow the guidelines presented by the IMO (International Maritime Organisation) and the Swedish Transport Agency. The projects client was a smaller fishing company that was about to build a fishing vessel.The work has been carried out as a project, it was finished within the schedule and the client was most satisfied with the result. The client has used the manual in the making of the Safety Booklet (SMS) and they are now certified according to the rules of the Swedish Transport Agency..

Denna uppsats är en historisk studie av långsiktigt månadssparade i fonder under åren 1995-2004. Studien är begränsad till elva aktiefonder som huvudsakligen investerar i Sverige och som lämpar sig för månadssparande.Syftet med uppsatsen är dels att undersöka effekten av att kontinuerligt spara till månadens bästa kurs jämfört med månadens genomsnittliga kurs, vilket undersöks genom simulerat sparande, dels att studera huruvida det funnits regelbundenheter mellan månadens dagar vad gäller förekomsten av höga och låga kurser som kunnat vara till hjälp för att optimera tidpunkten för månadsinsättningen. Denna del av studien genomförs från två håll, först genom att för varje dag i månaden beräkna genomsnittet för fondandelskursen, sedan genom ett simulerat månadssparande på dagsbasis.Vi finner att resultatet av att alltid ha köpt till de bästa kurserna är drygt 4 % fler innehavda fond-andelar än för det genomsnittliga sparandet. Denna summa överrensstämmer med det antal extra andelar som erhållits vid varje enskilt köptillfälle till bästa kurs jämfört med till medelkursen. Mellan de olika dagarna i månaden har vi funnit små regelbundenheter som tar sig uttryck i ett vågmönster.

A Biogas plant in SLU?s (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) management sustains to behave in con-nection with the new animal stables at Lövsta. There will primarily manure from stables that rot to biogas. The biogas plant will also have the capacity that rot others substrates that can arise in the farm operation. The aim with the biogas plant is to produce non fossil electrical and gas heat for own customs, to reduce smell impact from stables and to make possible different types of research investments within the area.This study has implemented multiple cases study of different investment scenarios.

My diploma thesis has focused on creating a proposal for a Viking center in Stockholm that meets the international interest. A building dedicated solely to the Viking heritage. The purpose also includes an investigation about if an investor will receives a higher return on high-risk fund than on mutual-index fund in a 10 years period.Method: A quantitative method has been use in this study, where the information has been received from Morningstar. Microsoft Excel has been used to process the collected data in order to calculate the expected return and the risk measures. The result is presented in graphs and tables on the empirical capital, in order to analyse and compare it with the theories and the selected macro- variables to see if there will be any correlation. Conclusion: This research shows that there is no possibility that the macro-variable factors can benefit an investment on high-risk fund or on mutual-index fund in the short run.

Sales is the foundation for all commercial business and companies that have the best sales process in conjunction with efficient deliveries will do well in the long run. The author of this report was tasked by the Organisation in South Africa to study new/alternative ways of attracting Swedish companies to South Africa and sell the services of the Organisation to these same companies (defined as the sales process in this report) by analysing how similar international service companies do the same. A benchmarking process has been conducted with four similar service organizations in South Africa to examine how these companies work in comparison to the Organization. Surveys have been used for purposes of this study, as the methodology is well suited to provide the author a view on the opinions, perceptions and experiences of the respondents.The project aimed to develop new methods to attract Swedish companies to South Africa or improve and streamline the existing methods. The aim was also to develop new ways to sell the organization's services to Swedish companies.The study concludes that there is little focus on marketing of services within the Organisation.

Abstract - A business to change the world- An analysis of norms Textbooks for International Economics, in Upper-secondary Schools, Sweden 1994-2008 In this paper textbooks, for International Economics in Upper Secondary Schools in Sweden1994-2008, are analyzed with regard to norms related to taking moral responsibility for environment and society. A method for making discourse analysis, previously illustrated by Östman (2008), is used to deconstruct the knowledge content regarding norms about taking responsibility in relation to different social roles. The first question is: what different norms about taking responsibility can be found, in relation to different social roles? Different social roles that can be found in the studied material are: business-people, consumers, politicians/civil servants and citizens. Norms of taking responsibility in relation to the environment and society are studied in this paper in relation to these different roles. The second question is whether a discursive change in the material can be found. One case of discursive change can be found which is related to the role of a business.

Syftet med detta arbete var att jämföra den officiella bilden av demokrati i Kuwait, såsom den beskrivs i konstitutionen från 1962, med den bild som externa oberoendeaktörer ger vad gäller demokrati i landet. Den externa bilden hämtades från olika FNrapporter, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International och The Bureau ofDemocracy, Human Rights and Labour. Dessa kompletterades sedan med en analysav det politiska systemet i Kuwait. Arbetet grundade sig på en demokratiskanalysmetod som utarbetats av International IDEA (Institute for Democracy andElectoral Assistance).Det visade sig att konstitutionen innehöll många demokratiska och individuellarättigheter och garantier ofta i linje med IDEA:s principer. Konstitutionen beskrevinte en fullvärdig demokrati, men många av dess komponenter fanns ändå där.

Distrilux International AB, a company within the Electrolux-group, works among other things with storing of products from other companies in the Electrolux-group. This rapport contains a cost analysis of the two Distrilux warehouses in Motala and Mariestad. The company offers five services in these warehouses, in-loading of products from a local factory and from external factories, storing, out-loading of products to Sweden (domestic) and for export. Since there has been some hesitation of the accuracy of the price-model of today, a master's thesis has been advertised. The purpose of the thesis has been to investigate the agreement of the price-model of today and the apportionment of the costing in warehouses.The main problem is to determine which activities is to be considered important in the price-model.
