Kenya is considered to be a developing country. This means that basic needs such as nutrition are not met for an extended period of time (www, Sida 1, 2012). Approximately half of the population is living under the poverty line (www, CIA 1, 2012). Agriculture is the largest sector in the country, employing 75% of the population. These are thereby directly dependent on the sufficiency of outputs received.

In many herd the dry cows are set aside, that means setting aside 15% of your herd, at the time when they are preparing for their next lactation. If you look at recommendation for feeding, some companies selling feeding equipment advocates one group throughout the dry period, but the number differs from one to three.

This study examines the experiences and perspectives of after-school program teachers through a qualitative research approach. The purpose is to deepen the understanding of their experiences within the after-school setting and how these insights might contribute to the development of this environment. Semi-structured and narrative interviews were used for data collection, allowing a flexible and open conversational format where participants could express both concrete opinions and implicit thoughts. Following Ahrne and Svensson's (2022) argument, which emphasizes the importance of qualitative interviews in capturing experiences of individuals active within specific social settings, this method is considered well-suited for the study?s purpose. The narrative interviews provided the interviewees with the freedom to describe their own experiences in detail, while the semi-structured interviews ensured a foundational structure and opportunities for follow-up questions.

Bolagsstyrelser har som företagets bärande pelare en framträdande roll, vilket orsakar viss problematik vid valet av medlemmar. Många gånger väljs externa representanter in, vilka ska bidra till att bolaget styrs optimalt. Inte sällan består dessa av företrädare för konkurrerande bolag, innebärande att nyttomaximering försvåras och en maktkamp blir följden.

Governments needed to broaden their political decision making procedures in order to coordinate and integrate environmental, social and economic policies. Therefore a new tool was introduced in Agenda 21, National Strategies for Sustainable Development (NSDS). The aim of an NSDS would be to bring together actors from all parts of society to jointly reach a consensus on how to work towards the vision of a sustainable society. An NSDS would be seen as a strategic tool to help focus national policies for SD.

Den här uppsatsen startade i en reflektion över vilka elever som kommer in på populära gymnasieutbildningar. Uppslaget kom efter en genomgång av skolkatalogernas klassfotografier, på en gymnasieskola i en medelstor svensk kommun. På bilderna som visade det populära Medieprogrammets elever var två aspekter tydliga. För det första att flesta studerande är flickor. Det andra är att många av flickorna har ett utseende och en kroppsform som anknyter till de klassiska proportionerna och dragen hos klassisk grekisk och italiensk konst, ett ideal som ligger till grund för vad vi idag upplever som estetiskt vackert.

This master thesis project is a part of a project called ?Järboprojektet? at the regional board of forestry, the district of Gästrikland. The project will give answers to questions regarding if an analysis of satellite images can be used to contact and inform landowners of the located areas where precommercial thinning is useful. The whole project is a part of the National Board of Forestrys IT-stake where the analysis of satellite images will, at the latitudes possible, be adapted to each district in purpose to identify these areas in need of precommercial thinning. This master thesis project is based on a field inventory of identified objects where precommercial thinning is useful.

A couple of hundred years ago half of the earth?s surface was covered by forest. Today, only half remains and every year an area the size of Nepal is disappearing. Deforestation, together with the burning of fossil fuels, is also one of the reasons for the increasing greenhouse effect. Another relatively unknown problem for the world?s forests is the trade with illegally harvested timber.

Matvanor grundläggs i de tidiga åren vilket ger den offentliga miljön, exempelvis förskolor, stora möjligheter att skapa goda förutsättningar för barnens matvanor. På såväl global som nationell nivå finns flera styrdokument som berör barns matvanor och hälsa. Det debatteras ofta vilka risker befolkningens matvanor innebär. Vi ville öka förståelsen för matens möjligheter genom ett salutogent perspektiv.

Sedan Sverige blev medlem i EU har det anordnats val till Europaparlamentet vid tre tillfällen. Valdeltagandet som redan 1995 var lågt har sedan minskat ännu mera. Ett lågt valdeltagande riskerar att undergräva Europaparlamentets legitimitet men också att underminera den representativa demokratin. Fyra orsaker till det låga valdeltagandet har lyfts fram som förklaringsvariabler i svensk forskning. Denna uppsats fokuserar på den fjärde, massmedias roll.
