Denna uppsats är en del av trafiksäkerhetsprojektet FICA (Factors Influencing the Causation of Accidents and Incidents), vars målsättning är att genom en förståelse för förarbeteende kunna utveckla aktiv säkerhetsteknologi för fordon. Inom detta projekt kommer en metod för olycksanalys, DREAM (Driving Reliability and Error Analysis Method), att användas. Den här uppsatsen handlar om att utvärdera och utveckla denna analysmetod. Arbetet med metoden har främst gällt användbarhetsaspekter av DREAM. Även olika kvalitetsaspekter som till exempel replikerbarhet, har undersökts.

The history of environmental reporting began in the early 1990?s when some companies included the environmental issue in their annual report. The increased interest of ethical and sustainable investments and demands from different stakeholders conjure a change of the report design. To develop the environmental reports and create design guidance for sustainability reports an organisation called Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) was born. The GRI is environmental reporting taken to another level, a level that is according to sustainable development.

Uppsatsen behandlar demokratibegreppets konstruktion i ett urval artiklar ur Dagens Nyheters EU-debatt. Med ett diskursanalytiskt angreppssätt studeras hur de olika begreppen demokrati, EU och Europa tillskrivs innebörder i artiklarna och hur de relateras till varandra. Utgångspunkten är socialkonstruktivistisk och poststrukturalistisk och pekar på samband mellan framställningarna av de olika begreppen och förståelserna av de fenomen de beskriver.I analysen presenteras ett antal diskurser som urskiljts som styrande våra föreställningar om de olika begreppen. Dessa handlar om hur EU och Europa framstår som utbytbara och som utgörande en sorts självklar gemenskap, om demokrati och andra värdens önskvärdhet samt om EU som en hjälte med ansvar för demokratin och för Europa. Här problematiseras framställningen och föreställningen av och om demokrati, EU och Europa som självklart åtråvärda begrepp, vars önskvärdhet ? och sammanhörighet ? inte går att ifrågasätta.

Dagens svenska samhälle har blivit allt mer etniskt och kulturellt diversifierat. Denna nya mångkulturella verklighet påverkar allt mer samhällets olika arenor. Denna uppsats undersöker hur detta avspeglar sig inom en del av den socialpolitiska institutionen Kriminalvården. Denna studie har gjorts på en av Kriminalvårdens anstalter för att genom intervjuer med personal komma åt hur personalen talar om och agerar utifrån den etniska och sociokulturella heterogenitet som i dagens Sverige är en realitet. Hur handskas och ser personalen på de ökade krav på mångfald och "kulturell kompetens" som numera ställs inom Kriminalvården, likt de flesta andra av samhällets arenor idag.

Service Design is a relatively new, unexplored and exciting phenomenon that through an Interdisciplinary work methodology designs services. A discussion has been going on for a long time regarding whether there is a difference between products and services. Services are often classified as immaterial, heterogeneous, non-storable and inseparable in relation to products. A question that arises is if something specific characterises the work methodology used regarding service design. The aim with this paper is thus to explain the work methodology when working with service design.

Social movements have long been valuable components of the struggle for a world with true justice. Along with the changing and modernization of society these movements also change, both in their actions as well as in the goals they want to accomplish. Technology is taking a greater part in many aspects of social life, creating new dimensions but also new social divides. This thesis examines how new social movements make themselves visible and affect the world around them through different kinds of networks. For the purpose of this study, we have chosen to study two social movements; the Zapatistas in Mexico, who have become known worldwide for carrying out the first informational revolution, and MoveOn.org, an American grassroots organization that struggles for increased democracy in the US.

This research paper is a thesaurus construction for the Interdisciplinary subject of landscape planning. The personnel doing the indexing of documents at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences had earlier expressed a need for such a work within the fields of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Engineering. However our objective was not to create a complete thesaurus, but instead a basic construction which the personnel at the Agricultural University could expand upon. The actual construction is based upon ISO 2788-1986, Documentation Ð Guidelines for the establishment and development of monolingual thesauri, and Aitchison, Gilchrist and BawdenÕs Thesaurus Construction (1997). The line of enquiry taken has dealt with the problems relating to the collection, selection and control of indexing terms.

Syftet med studien var att ta reda på vad miljöundervisningen i Flodafors skola handlar om. Vi ville även undersöka vilka olika arbetssätt som förekommer. Den teoretiska delen i arbetet behandlar olika dimensioner av miljöundervisning och olika undervisningstraditioner. Vi har även berört vad som betonas i de nationella styrdokumenten när det gäller miljö. Vi använde oss av en kvalitativ metod, där observation, intervju och dokumentanalys användes som teknik.

Our common future involves many important challenges. People and nature need to improve the relationship in order to reach an ecologically sustainable development. In a society where consumption of products steadily increases, the consumer awareness about social and environmental issues connected to the products becomes an importent factor. More and more companies choose to work more actively with these issues and more and more products get labelled by some of the eco labelling organisations. From the cradle to the gate means that a study has been done on a part of a products life cycle.

I Sverige har det pågått en fyra decennier lång regiondebatt om hur den regionala förvaltningen ska organiseras. Denna debatt har resulterat i ett beslut om en försöksverksamhet med regionalt självstyre i fyra län från 1 juli 1997 till 31 december 2002. I den regionala försöksverksamheten som ytterligare har förlängts till 2006 ingår Kalmar, Gotland, Skåne och Västra Götaland. De två sistnämnda regionerna är mitt undersökningsmål. Syftet med denna uppsats är att lyfta fram de väsentliga faktorer/element som kan relateras till och förknippas med regional identitet.

The thesis examines how language, culture and family structures interrelate and affect the process of migration. Vital is how women from a different ethnic background integrates during migration and in a dialogue context with us as researchers and native Swedes. The thesis is Interdisciplinary and analyzes empirical data through a qualitative method by using the perspectives gender, ethnicity and identity. The empirical material consists of 7 interviews, which have been transcribed and then broken down in to quotations. Thesequotations have then been analyzed using the perspectives mentioned above.

The artistic subjects disappeared from the obligatory curriculum of the Swedish secondary school in 2011. The purpose of this work is to analyze to which extent the new curriculum Lgy11 is based on scientific results when it comes to the role the aesthetics were given. This paper analyzes the documents that preceded the reform, such as Government Reports and Interpellation Debates, for a start. It continues with an analysis of an Interdisciplinary group of researchers, whose scientific work include research of impacts of art and art education in ordinary education and learning in a more holistic perspective. Finally an analysis of the curriculum itself is made.

This rapport examines six Swedish workplace unions, in manufacturing internationalised companies, degree of internationalised trade union work. The report is based on interviews with local shop stewards. All local workplace unions were in some form internationalised. They were placed in three different groups of strategies: Passive, Tactical and Strategic. The Passive union only tried to get information; the Tactical unions were reactive against initiative from company management and used the channels provided of Industrial Relation laws.
