The purpose of this project was to develop an interactive toy concept. A toy capable of reacting and expressing emotions like happiness, sadness, anger or love. And capable of developing its character with use.The initial questions was, how do I create interest, understanding and affection between a digital product and its user? How should the interaction be made?During the course of the project the search has mainly been for something that does not base its shape and interaction on likeness. Forexample likeness to humans or pets.I have created a toy concept called iio.

The aim of the study is to investigate the practice of psychoanalysis with infants, and its effect on mother and child. With psychoanalytical thoeries and contemporary research on infants interaction as a basis, five interwievs with psychoanalysts in practice has been done. Also taking part of a clinical meeting with nine psychoanalysts has been done. Two of the interwieved analysts where part of this meeting, therefor the total sum of twelve psychoanalysts who reports their thoughts about the process i infantanalysis. The study also includes three participating observations of infantanalysis.

Purpose/Aim: The aim of the paper is to study the periodical Blå Bandet and its structure, typography, layout and design and how the periodical can develop by a redesign.Material/Method: I have interviewed the editor of Blå Bandet and studied literature about the market of periodicals and design of periodicals. After that I have done an analysis of Blå Bandet and its structure, typography, layout and design.Main results: I present a proposal for a new structure and a new typography. Background:When the patient is critically ill the family is in a vulnerable position. The nurse's role is to support and help the family to find meaning in the difficult situation and to provide realistic hope. Balancing between the patient's and the family's needs is difficult. Knowledge about how nurses experience difficulties in the interaction with family is required in order to grant good care too critically ill patients and their family-members.Aim:To describe nurses' perceived difficulties in the interaction with family-members of critically ill patients.Method:The study is a qualitative literature-based study based on qualitative research. Results: The analysis resulted in four main themes; difficult disunion, environmental constraints, interpersonal difficulties and communicative difficulties.

This study concerns a selection of prehistoric metal objects of animalistic design, published at the internet site of the Swedish Statens Historiska Museum. It seeks to give an impression of the design elements used, and to find likely models for the motifs among live animals. The method used is a qualitative hermenuetic comparative study of objects, where the distinct significant design elements are being identified and interpretated. Several significant design elements are identified, and some are interpretated as representing certain animals. The amalgamation of differentiating design elements in some objects however, leads to interpretations of compound animal motifs, where some motifs are considered ambiguous and some are rendered uninterpretated.

This study examined how users interact with a smartphone while in a learning situation based on videos via smartphones as a learning tool, and how this interaction and phenomena is experienced. The five test subject were separately given the same task that they were to solve using video instructions that were picked out and given to them. After finishing the task the subjects were observed while they demonstrated how they completed the task. After the observation the subject were interviewed using semi-structured interviews. The results show that the user experience of this phenomena is based on more pragmatic values than we could find in earlier studies, i.e.

The aim of this paper is to describe the characteristics of the sport journalistic weblog. To achieve this we have used the following questions: Which themes are included in the sport journalistic weblog? How much text does the sport journalistic weblog content? How often is multimediality incorporated in the sport journalistic weblog? Which references occur in the sport journalistic weblog? How many hyperlinks occur in the sport journalistic weblog? How many of the hyperlinks is internal respective external? How often does the sport journalistic weblog offers possibilities to interaction between the journalist and the reader? How often does interaction between the journalist and the reader occur?The theories we have used is both online publishing and Jan Schmidt?s analytical framework on blogs. Online publishing describes an important part in our paper, online journalism, which in turn describes three important definitions for this paper; hypertextuality, multimediality and interactivity. Jan Schmidt?s theory is central to understand the phenomena, and functions as a starting point in the analyze part.

Offentliga platser har i uppgift att vara öppna för allmänheten, men ändå har exkluderande design givits större utrymme på offentliga platser världen över och så även i Sverige. I uppsatsen undersöktes exkluderande och inkluderande design genom en kvalitativ fallstudie bestående av en inventering och ett flertal observationer vid Gustav Adolfs torg i Malmö. Observationerna genomfördes utifrån element som är vanligt förekommande på offentliga platser, vilka utgjordes av bänk, mur, toalett och fontän. Undersökningen resulterade i hur dessa element används och av vem. Resultatet från fallstudien utgjorde underlag för en kritisk diskussion som lyfter frågan kring vad exkluderande och inkluderande design är, i de aktuella fall fenomenet förekommer samt vad konsekvenserna blir med att använda den här typen av utformning på offentliga platser.

Denna studie handlar om individanpassning av informationsåtkomst och syftet med studien är att underlätta för utvecklare som ska ta fram nya, individanpassade lösningar för webben. Denna studie koncentreras till Skatteverkets webbplats. Studien försöker hitta svar på frågan om aktiv individanpassning gör att det blir lättare för användare att hitta vad de söker. En prototyp med en aktiv individanpassning har skapat och sedan jämförts med Skatteverkets webbplats. Detta har gjorts med hjälp av observationer och en tillämpning av tänka-högt-metoden.

Denna rapport redovisar för design- och utvecklingsprocessen i byggandet av en responsiv webbsida. Webbsidan skapades för användning av den blivande spelstudion Rocket Luncher Studios. Wordpress som CMS (Content Management System) har används som innehålls-hanteringssystem för att förenkla uppdatering av webbsidan av uppdragsgivaren själva. Webbsidan är kodad utifrån Luke Wroblewskis ?mobile-first?-tänk, vilket börjar med att fokusera designen på mindre skärmar för att sedan anpassa innehållet mot större skärmstorlekar.

Svensk modernisms mest kärnfulla period 1930-1960, representeras av 55 objekt i MoMAs arkitektur och designsamling. De svenska objekten i samlingen visar på en reception av svensk design som mest inflytelserik under 1950-talet. The aim of this study was to examine the social relationships between children and librarians during reference interviews. Using qualitative interviews with five children's librarians I illustrate attitudes and behaviours during a reference situation which take place in psychological, social and even in pedagogical contexts. The literature review comprises studies of the reference interview with children and youth, a description of interpersonal communication and finally social interaction and dialog between teachers and pupils. The main result of this study was the demonstration of a dichotomy in modes of interpersonal communication. In one mode, the social frame is emphasized.

Trust is the most important thing for a webshop. The consumers must be able to feel trust to choose to submit their personal information to a webshop. In this study we examine the impact that design has on the consumers trust and confidence. We study six consumers that are engaged in e-commerce in their everyday life. By allowing these participants to be presented with two different webshops, an assessement could be made in both how much design is affecting and also which parts of the design that leads to trust and lack of trust.

The aim of this observational study was to see how social interaction works in nursing homesdayroom. The focus was to study the staff and the residents during lunch, afternoon coffee,and during the eventual common activity. The observation persons were passive and they didnot communicate with either staff nor with the residents. The theoretical framework usedwas Georetrendens theory, KASAM and Communication theory. The results showedthat social interaction in the dayroom of the nursing home is rarely spontaneous, but mustinstead be planned by the staff.
