The aim of the study was to examine prerequisites for the changes that are taking place within working with Intimate Partner Violence in Va?stra Hisingen (a municipal district in Gothenburg, Sweden). My research questions concerned incentives for the new features, their practical consequences and prerequisites for implementation. The study has been performed by three focus group interviews with different parts of the organization represented. The work material has then been analyzed using Implementation Theory, Human Service Organization Theory and theories on breaking up.

This thesis means to find out how preschool teachers are working to demonstrate the importance of recycling and reuse for children. My hope is to contribute knowledge about various practical methods to establish the idea of sustainable development in the operation. I have used the method of qualitative research and done semi-structured interviews with preschool teachers on certified green flag preschools. The questions I have asked for example concerned how the preschool teachers have worked with recycling and reuse, how much the children have been able to influence and if other didactic subjects are implicated. Six interviews were made and these are summarized in the result part.

Denna uppsats avhandlar 1st Marine Division och deras väg in i Irak under operation Iraqi Freedom. Syftet med uppsatsen är att verifiera om det var konceptet manöverkrigföring som 1st Marine Division använde sig av under invasionen? Det har sagts att amerikanerna använde sig av manöverkrigföring i denna operation. Jag ställer mig mer frågande om det verkligen var det konceptet som de använde sig av.För att svara på frågeställningen har jag först beskrivit vad manöverkrigföring är, därefter har jag gjort en fallstudie på 1st Marine Division och deras agerande under invasionen av Irak 2003. Vi följer divisionen från utgångsgrupperingen i Kuwait tills divisionen är inne i Bagdad.

The continuous process of urbanization results in demands on research and development for ecological and sustainable city development. Because of this, the current systems for wastewater treatment may have to be improved. In order to evaluate new technologies for municipal wastewater treatment, a development project has been initiated for the new district Hammarby Sjöstad in Stockholm. The project is lead by the company Stockholm Water. High environmental standards have been put up for the district, as it must be twice as good as an ordinary new district.

In this essay I examine if socio cultural theory is present for teachers when pupils and students are using computers in class, especially when using blogs as a tool for learning. The aim of the essay is also to examine if blogs among pupils in class can promote peer support, co-operation and reflective dialogue, and in that case in what way. The essay consists of two studies, one small interview study and one literature study.  The interview study is made with the qualitative method phenomenographic analysis, presenting four Swedish teachers who have much experience using blogs in education. The aim of the literature study where some national and international research studies of relevance are presented, is to broaden the perspective.The result of the interview study shows that a socio cultural theory is highly present among the teachers who already use blogs in education. In addition, those teachers experience that the blog in the classroom supports dialogue and co-operation among the pupils.  In contrast, the literature study shows that most teachers in Sweden who made their pupils work with computers in classroom seem to let their student work alone, without guiding them and without creating co-operation or dialogue in the classroom.

This study has an integration policy direction as it focuses on the qualification for the new arrivals to quickly establish themselves in the labor market, and how the government's interventions, which in this case is the establishment reform, have affected municipalities and what its role is in this context. The purpose of the establishment reform is to faster the new arrivals integration in to the labor market. The aim of this study is to analyze the interaction factors that is affecting the integration of new arrivals into the labor market by study the professionals opinions on the interplay between involved organizations in two municipalities before and after the establishment reform. Studies have shown that the establishment reform has not achieved its goal and the purpose is to analyze the aspects behind this problem. The results of the study were analyzed with help of the interaction theory and the new institutional theory which is a part of the organization theory. An important aspect in the results of our study is the deficiency with the interaction between the participating organizations that obstruct the new arrivals path to becoming self-contained. In order to identify the problem, the study focuses on the co-operation among two communities in Sweden with the new arrivals way into the labor market.

Ledningssystemområdet genomgår stora förändringar med anledning av Försvarsmaktens strategiska inriktning att skapa flexibla, tillgängliga och stående krigsförband. Inriktningen innebär en utmaning inom ledningssystemområdet då den medför ett tydligare krav än tidigare på att ledningsmateriel, teknik och personal är ständigt uppfyllda i samtliga krigsförband.Modulära enheter och förband som på ett flexibelt sätt skall kunna sättas samman till stridsgrupper skapar vid varje tillfälle ett behov av att designa operationen med dess ledningssystem. Ett ledningsstödsystem vars övergripande syfte är att stödja chefers utövande av ledning, det vill säga att tillgodose ledningsbehoven. Denna studie analyserar hur Försvarsmaktens strategiska inriktning påverkar ledningssystem- och ledningsstödsystemområdet, vid en insats med tillfälligt sammansatta förband på operativ och högre taktisk nivå.Syftet med studien är att analysera vilka faktorer som är centrala för effektiv ledning vid en gemensam operation.Studien menar att de centrala faktorerna vid ledning av en gemensam operation härrör sig till analys av: aktuell verksamhet och dess specifika behov, operationskonst och taktik, vald organisations behov och sammansättning. Analysen resulterar i specifika ledningsbehov och metodanpassningar.

Företag och organisationer arbetar i dag i projekt. Att arbeta i projektform kan medföra både för- och nackdelar när det gäller kunskapsöverföring. Kunskapsöverföring är viktig eftersom den möjliggör för medarbetare att använda sig av gamla lösningar på nya problem. Syftet med uppsatsen är att titta på vilken kunskap som sprids och på vilket sätt det görs mellan ett mellankommunalt projekt Kompetensare 2.0 och dess föregångare Kompetensare. Kompetensare 2.0 är ett mellankommunalt projekt mellan 10 olika kommuner som ska implementera arbetssättet och arbetsmodellen från Kompetensare.

The purpose of this thesis was to explore how Swedish librarians working with educational matters In Swedish: studiebibliotekarier experience his/her pedagogic work in the context of a public library. My intention was thus to reach an understanding of how they experienced their educational work. The following questions were asked: 1 How do the librarians experience the physical environment created for their students? 2 How do the librarians experience the co-operation with others involved in their work? 3 How do the librarians experience the formal task that he/she now is given? 4 How do the librarians experience their own pedagogic qualifications regarding the demands that are made upon them by the students? I have interviewed six librarians and incorporated theories on pedagogic roles in an educational context. I reached the conclusion that these librarians believed the environment to be important for the outcome of the students success with their studies.

Syftet med undersökningen är att granska patientkallelser till operationer för att se var kommunikationen eventuellt brister samt sammanställa en funktionell mall som ska kunna användas till de opererande verksamheterna inom Västmanlands sjukhus. Efter att ha fått ta del av autentiska kallelser och kallelsemallar granskas texternas innehåll, språk samt layout. Studien bygger på metodtriangulering genom dokumentanalys och analys av mötessamtal. Resultatet visar att kallelserna skiljer sig åt på flera olika plan. En del kallelser saknar nödvändig information som patienter behöver veta.

Denna uppsats behandlar kommunal samhällsplanering, med fokus på handelsetableringar. Uppsatsen tar avstamp i den utveckling med externalisering och koncentration av detaljhandeln som pågått under de senaste decennierna. Denna utveckling är såväl lokal som regional och har inneburit att detaljhandeln koncentrerats till centralorternas stadskärnor och externa stormarknader. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilken aktör som bestämmer över denna utveckling. De aktörer som undersöks är dagligvaruhandeln och samt kommuner.

This thesis concerns to investigate renovations of existing buildings aiming at enabling energy efficiency, from a conservation and restoration perspective. This includes performing case studies of three projects in the Gothenburg area where renovations has been done and an analysis of directives raised by the EU and later implemented by the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, Boverket. In addition to these, regulations enforced by the Swedish law, related to the topic, have been considered.The investigated projects in this case were the housing cooperative Välten in Brämaregården, the Solar Buildings in Järnbrott and Gårdsten as well as Katjas Gata 119 at Backa Röd. In order to measure and compare the results of these projects a comparison between the pre- and post-restoration energy consumption have been performed. To capture additional perspectives the grading system Operation Kungsörn has been applied.Regarding the comparison of energy consumption the renovation of Katjas Gata 119 was found preferable but showed in my view lacking attention to the cultural heritage of the area.

Mitt syfte med detta arbete är att få en bild av hur relationerna mellan olika religiösa samfund såg ut under en tid då EFS byggde upp och etablerade sin verksamhet i Eritrea. För att få ett lokalt signum på uppsatsen kommer den till stor del att handla om en lokal missionär, Olle Hagner från Ovansjö socken, som kom att tillbringa närmare 40 år som missionär i östra Afrika ? många av dessa med sin fru som följeslagare.Följande frågeställningar har fungerat som utgångspunkt:* Varför missionerade EFS i just Eritrea?* Vad åstadkom Olle Hagner?* Är det möjligt att se en förändring över tid på hur missionärerna såg på den inhemska religionen på plats?* Hur gestaltade sig de inter- och intrareligiösa relationerna mellan EFS-missionärer (särskilt Hagner), muslimer, kopter, katoliker och anhängare av den inhemska religionen?* Vilka tänkbara orsaker ligger bakom eventuella förändringar i attityder och relationer?Kritiken från Hagner och EFS mot andra samfund var bitvis hård, och då framförallt mot den katolska kyrkan. Detta är inte förvånande då den katolska kyrkan gjorde allt för att tränga ut EFS? missionärer ur Eritrea och lyckades också med detta under en period.Olle Hagner anlände till Eritrea första gången 1923 efter att ha lovat att ta vid efter sin broder Johans tidigare missionsgärning i Eritrea som han tvingats avbryta på grund av sjukdom.

In this thesis, a case study of Kungens Kurva in Stockholm is made. The municipality of Huddinge has designated the area, which is an external shopping-center, as one of its key development areas in the future. The municipality has established a future vision for the area, which extends until 2030. The vision claims, inter alia, that Kungens Kurva along with Skärholmen will become a vibrant suburb. How well the values and aims of the vision are met in the current area situation is discussed in the case study by a number of analysis that carries out the existing structures and characters of the area.

The purpose of this study is to focus on library service for children in a hospital, which in turn is seen in relation to a traditional children s library. Four aspects of library work were investigated. These aspects were working methods, partners of co-operation for the libraries, media policy (acquisition, use of the collection and circulation procedures), as well as programme activities for children.The research method was qualitative and comparative in nature, consisting of case studies of two libraries : (1) the library in a children s hospital, known as Bokskogen at Astrid Lindgren s children s hospital in Stockholm and (2) a traditional children s library, the children s department at Eslövs city library. In each library interviews were conducted. The investigation shows that the librarians in the hospital library must be more outreaching and active in order to stimulate children to use library materials.
