The objective of this project was to develop an application for mobile phones using the Android operating system. The main goal was, with the help of GPS, to pinpoint locations, measure distance traveled and illustrate the progress on a map. Functionalities for just showing the map, fetching addresses and saving to a database was also implemented. The result of the work was a proper application, called MeasureApp, that fulfills the goals set in the planning stages of the project. MeasureApp can be used to measure distances where accuracy is not a main factor, i.e walks or runs.

The purpose of this essay is to explore how educators are supposed to prioritize their work at the preschool so that all children are listened to and the conditions necessary for kids to dare to express their feelings and thoughts are in place. How is the relationship important for the child's learning? How do I become a committed educator who knows how to interpret and prioritize my work so it benefits children's learning? I am developing these questions in two parts in my following text. Firstly I am writing about why it is important that we who work as pedagogues meet the child on the child?s own terms.

The project has sprung out of my imagination. I wanted to find out what happened to my creativity, and my way of making product design if I used the method of putting myself into a fictive world. The project has taught me to rely on myself and my knowledge as a designer.I have made a chair which closes out sounds and gestures in public places. I varje projekt finns det brister i kommunikation som kan leda till att kostnad, tid och kvalitét påverkas. Varje projekt är en tillfällig organisation med olika företag och olika personer med varierande erfarenheter inom projektering. Detta medför att varje projekt är i sig unikt och hur alla ska kommunicera med varandra kan vara stora frågetecken under projekteringens förlopp. Denna rapport tittar närmare på vilka brister och svårigheter som kan uppkomma i projekteringskedet..

The purpose of this study is to improve the understanding of the dynamics behind Chinese-Western buyer-supplier relationships. The study takes on a partially inductive approach by commencing with exploratory in-depth interviews. The main body of the study consists of a cross-sectional survey. Data has been collected through an on-line questionnaire. The theoretical review consists of industrial relationships with specific accounts on the role of adaptation, trust and commitment; a stream of literature in cross-cultural relationships deriving from Hofstede?s culturalist legacy with specific reference to Chinese-Western relationships, including studies on relationship bonding, and the role of guanxi.

This report will detail the participator view of partnering in Kvarteret Frodeparken. Kvarteret Frodeparken is a new construction project being jointly delivered by Skanska Sverige AB and Uppsalahem AB. The report will focus on the comparison between the participators view of partnering with an emphasis on common partnering goals. The report will also focus on the economical benefits, the time benefits and the social environment benefits you can find in partnering.The principals of partnering are; participants together make the common goals for the projects, make ice breaking activities to improve stakeholder engagement and working with an open economy to find the profitable choice for the project. With a combination of the three principals the team together decide the best solution for the project.

This report is a qualitative study on children aged three to five years who are in the Swedish preschool. The purpose of the study is to investigate how five experienced preschool teachers view the way children between three and five years acquire basic mathematical concepts, basic numeracy and geometry. The aim is also to find out whether teachers feel that the size of the group of children affects their learning.The study contains information about what preschool teachers think about the way children learn mathematics and how the size of the group of children affects this learning. From the results it can be seen that children learn Mathematics, both in everyday situations and when playing. Moreover, the group size does not seem to affect the mathematical learning of the child.

The aim in this project was to spread play in the city and acrossgenerations. My way of approaching this challenge was to explore theborderland between playground equipment and street furniture. Thisopened up many possibilities to afford play in places where playgroundequipment often is excluded.The goal was to create one, or more, furniture with play value. The targetgroup was all vivasious people spending time in the public outdoorspace. Through user studies, a lot of serious playing and a lot of testing,the project resulted in a bench called Rollin´.

The intention of my studies is to explore the field of musical learning from the pupil's point of view. This master thesis is the second of two Grounded Theory studies based on interviews.In study no1 Learning of music from the pupils' point of view (Pemsel, 2009) I asked ten pupils, soon to be graduates, to express their own experience of musical learning. The selection of informants was made after reading a questionnaire an- swered by a group of 60 pupils attending different programs at a typical Swedish upper secondary school. The ten selected informants had all chosen several music courses their latest years in school. The questionnaire had two purposes; one was to construct musical profiles of the pupils, the other was to select informants for the interviews.

Utifrån arbetsmodellen Learning study, med variationsteorin som utgångspunkt har forskning genomförts i två klasser i Sverige med syftet att försöka identifiera kritiska aspekterna för elever i årskurs nio inom ämnesområdet det vita ljuset och dess färgspektrum. Studien är en vidareutveckling av en tidigare genomförd studie i Hong Kong och har därför även haft till syfte att undersöka om de identifierade kritiska aspekterna är generaliserbara från en skolkontext till en annan kontext.Den svenska skolan styrs nationellt utifrån styrdokument, skollag, läroplan och kursplan för skolämnet och läraren har även riktlinjer för att få en yrkesetisk förankring. Dessa delar är viktiga att läraren tar i beaktning inför planering av undervisningen. Elevernas bakgrund och förkunskaper i ämnet är av stor vikt för läraren att ta hänsyn till för att de ska kunna ta till sig undervisningen om det som läraren har tänkt att de ska lära sig.I denna studie kunde åtta kritiska aspekter identifieras i de två klasser som undersökningen genomfördes i. Fem av de kritiska aspekterna var redan identifierade i Hong Kong.

This report summarizes a Bachelor Degree Project in Integrated Product Development, carried out during the fall 2007 till spring 2008 by three students at the Product Design Engineering Program at the University of Skövde. The project was performed in cooperation with Lundbergs Möbler AB in Tibro. Lundbergs wants to start selling furniture to the public eldercare. The purpose of this project was to adjust one of their chairs. The project layout was to first make a preliminary investigation where the market, competitors? assortment and the purchasing process are studied.

Bakgrund:Läraryrkets komplexitet och bristen på lärares teoretiska förankring öppnar för att i en variationsteoretisk ram fokusera ett lärandeobjekt som ett sätt att utveckla lärarnas lärande samt lärarprofessionen.Syfte:Syftet med studien är att undersöka några lärares föreställningar om innehållet i deras undervisning, deras föreställningar om elevernas lärande samt hur detta innehåll gestaltas under en lesson/learning study.Metod:Genom deltagande i planerings- och analysmöten samt genom observationer studeras lärarnas samtal om och deras gestaltningar av ett innehåll i vad som kan sägas vara en mix av en lesson study och en learning study.Resultat:Lärarnas samtal under planeringsarbetet och genomförandet kännetecknades av en låg grad av teorianknytning, där innehållets strukturella aspekter inte synliggjordes. I lärarnas samtal synliggjordes inte heller elevernas lärande vilket däremot kom till uttryck i undervisningssituationerna..

Electrolux Laundry Systems is the world leader in manufacturing professional laundry equipment.The machines are used in the hotel sector, elderly care, in multifamily houses, laundry bars, and incommercial and institutional laundries.If there is oil or grease left in the clothes after washing may the heat from the dryer cause a chemicalreaction. This reaction may, under certain circumstances cause a fire inside the drum. Competitors toElectrolux has developed its own systems that extinguishes fire inside a tumble dryer and customershave expressed desire to purchase a fire-extinguishing system. Therefore, the project team receivedthe task by Electrolux to develop a fire-extinguishing system that extinguishes a fire in a tumbledryer.The purpose of the project has been to develop a system that both detects and responds to fire in anindustrial tumble dryer to meet the competitors and to satisfy customers' requirements.The goal was to develop a fire-extinguishing system for Electrolux Laundry Systems and develop afully functioning prototype.The project began with information searches on a variety of methods to both detect and extinguish afire. Subsequently, a number of different methods were used to develop a final solution and make aprototype.The result of the project is a fire-extinguishing system that extinguishes a fire inside a dryer.

The purpose of my study is to examine why five primary school teachers chose to start using the method ?Learning reading by writing on computer? in their teaching. How do they perceive that the method works in their classroom and do they perceive that the method affect the children?s literacy?The study consists of a qualitative method in form of interviews with five primary school teachers and also some observations made by me in the classrooms. I will use the findings I made during the interviews and observations and contrast these to relevant literature and research that I have collected.The result of my study shows that all of the interviewed teachers had a self-interest in working with the method ?Learning reading by writing on computers? and that they also worked closely with colleagues.

Avsikten med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka om det är möjligt att bygga upp en kursmall i en lärplattform, i det här fallet It´s learning, som ska kunna användas av lärare för att bygga upp både distanskurser och närundervisningskurser. Fokus lades på att dels hitta minsta gemensamma nämnare för en sådan kursmall och dels på att vidareutveckla arbetet med It´s learning på Örkelljunga Utbildningscentrum där jag är anställd. Undersökningsgruppen var i första hand lärare med sina kunskaper och erfarenheter av undervisningen både på distans och i klassrummet, i andra hand elever med sitt behov att ha insyn i vad som gjordes, vad som ska göras, vad har man missat och vilket är resultat av deras lärandearbete i form av lärarens feedback och betyg. Metoder som användes var enkät, intervjuer och samtal. Arbetets slutsats är att man kan, med en kursmall som grund, bygga upp både distanskurser och närundervisningskurser i It´s learning, det kräver dock mycket tid och engagemang från lärarnas sida då mallen ska fyllas på med vettigt undervisningsmaterial och planeringen synliggöras för eleverna. Allt handlar inte bara om tid och engagemang, även bristande datakunskaper hos en del av undervisarna är ett grundproblem som måste övervinnas. Projektet utmynnade i att de flesta av mina kollegor började använda sig av lärplattformen, dock ej alla som målsättningen var från början. Kursmallen underlättade arbetet initialt men den stora insatsen ligger under årets lopp då varje påbörjad kurs ska fyllas på med lektionsplaneringar och digitalt undervisningsmaterial av hög pedagogisk kvalité.
