The writing style of a particular author can be divided into many subfeatures, for example use of words, language and syntax. Focusing on the latter, this study aims to show how well syntactic information alone can attribute the correct author to a document. Syntactic information is defined as overlapping syntactic subtrees of height one (1) for all sentences of all included documents. The performance is compared to that of the previously very successful method of comparing stop word frequencies. These are words normally excluded from search engine queries, because they are present in all sorts of texts regardless of topic.

Intervjuerna utfördes på tredjeårsstudenter vid en sjöfartshögskola i Sverige angående bilden på styrmansyrket som de fått under sin fartygsförlagda styrmanspraktik. In the spring of 2009 Silva Sweden AB was contacted for a collaboration within the scope of a MasterThesis project. The company had discussed the possibility to develop a device that monitors usermovement during different types of exercise. The objective of this Master Thesis has therefore been todevelop and design a multi training device that records the user?s physical performance during severalactivities. En svårt sjuk patient som vårdas på en intensivvårdsavdelning, med svikt i ett eller flera organsystem, löper betydande risk att drabbas av malnutrition med ökad risk för infektioner och längre vårdtider. När en väl utarbetad riktlinje inom nutrition följs ökar patientens möjligheter att nå upp till sitt kalorimål med minskad malnutrition och förkortade vårdtider som följd. Syftet med studien var att undersöka följsamheten till en befintlig riktlinje om nutrition på en intensivvårdsavdelning i västra Sverige med hjälp av journalgranskning. Ett konsekutivt urval gjordes och 31 uppfyllde inklusionskriterierna. Journalerna granskades enligt deskriptiv analys.

The cause of fibromyalgia has long been unknown but recent studies has shown that disturbance in the central pain modulation may be the cause. The aim of the study was to examine what kind of physiotherapy and close related treatment methods in the treatment of fibromyalgia there are and to determine their evidence. Articles were obtained by searching through the databases PubMed, Academic Search, AMED/Webspirs, CINAHL/webspirs and PEDro for articles published from 1994 and ten years forward. The study was based on thirty articles that met the criteria for inclusion. To assess the quality of the clinical studies the SBU?s evaluation model was used.

The purpose of this trial was to evaluate the possibility to use sampling of faeces, urine and plasma, and measurements of blood pressure as methods of discovering hypomagnesemia in horses, as well as the application handiness of these methods. The most commonly used method of checking the magnesium status of a horse is to analyze samples of serum or plasma. The trial was of a switch-back design, in which the horses were used as their own controls. The animal material was five Swedish warm blooded trotters between six to ten years old, and weighing between 485-620 kg. The trial consisted of three periods that were two months each.

Att flyttas från intensivvårdsavdelning (IVA) till vårdavdelningen kan ur patientens perspektiv leda till olika upplevelser, båda positiva och negativa. Själva överflyttningen kan ge ångest, oro och otrygghet till patienterna men kan också upplevas som positivt och oproblematiskt. Överflyttningen till vårdavdelningen kan vara abrupt eller välplanerat och detta kan påverka patienternas upplevelse och känsla. Studiens syfte var att beskriva patienters upplevelse av överflyttning från IVA till vårdavdelning. Kvalitativ metod användes med intervjuer som datainsamlingsmetod där nio patienter intervjuades.

It is made based on the manufacturers desire to improve and make the clamp easier to manufacture and to reduce its price to their customers. This should be done either by manufacturing the clamp in one piece without an expensive and work intensive welding process, or by generating ideas of how to develop a brand new type of clamp. This report is the result of an evaluation of a project, conducted by five regional libraries. Through a training course the project should inspire small and medium sized enterprises to use modern information technology and Internet when searching for information. To evaluate the project, qualitative interviews were conducted with five librarians and quantitative questionnaires were distributed to all the course participants. The evaluation shows that the project goals were met, apart from the number of course participants, which was much lower than anticipated. It also shows that the project resulted in an increase in information technology and competence at the libraries, and that the course participants profit from their increased knowledge in their daily work..
