Syftet med denna uppsats är att visa hur maskulinitet gestaltas i filmtrilogin Härskarringen och att undersöka huruvida karaktärerna är nyskapande eller stereotypa. Härskarringen valdes ut i samband med en större undersökning bland manliga gymnasieelever. Vi använder oss av en kvalitativ analys av de tre filmerna. I Härskarringen presenteras en stereotyp bild av maskulinitet där typiska manliga karaktärsdrag är att vara ädel, fysiskt stark, modig, lojal, ödmjuk, potent, intelligent, beskyddande, respektingivande och med en stark vilja att kämpa för det rätta..

AbstractWe are facing a century of rapid change in climate, with significant challenges in managing the impact of changes in living conditions for plants and animals. We can already see the responses of species through changes in phenology and spatial distribution, which may change ecosystem structure and function, with subsequent effect on ecosystem services and biological diversity. In Sweden, between 2005 and 2010, the red-listed species has increased by 13 % and similar trends can be seen across the world, making it difficult to attain national and international environmental objectives of preserving biodiversity. One way to reduce the loss of biodiversity is to protect nature from exploitation by allocating valuable areas as nature reserves, but climate change affects protected areas just as much as other landscapes and therefore requires elaborate systems of protection to facilitate species' survival. The paper has examined  how the decisions and management plans for nature reserves in Sweden have been followed-up and whether they are climate adapted or not by examining 30 nature reserves, classified as newly formed (2012), recently revised (2009-2011) and older (1977-2007) reserves, and assessed what is in the decisions and management plans for follow-up, revision, long-term goals and documentation.

In published studies it is found that the fuel consumption on a forwarder is relatively constant, on time basis. A certain variation between different sizes of forwarders occurs as well as between different working elements. The aim of the study was to establish a forwarders comparatively fuel consumption when driving on road and in the terrain, loaded and unloaded, with high and low gear and with high and low speed as well as with hydrostatic and hydrodynamic transmission. A hypothesis was that low rpm gives lower fuel consumption on distance basic, at all trials. The test driving was made with a Hemek 750 which is a three geared hydrostatic machine and with a Hemek 700 which is a hydrodynamic machine with six gears.

Speculative in the sense that it is speculating in how a future scenario with ?beyond smart? products would look like.

Stor del av ett företag och dess logistik kretsar kring de interna logistikfunktioner och hur de som företag ständigt jobbar för att förebygga flaskhalsar. En lagervariant som används för att skapa ett högre värde i en kedja är ett så kallat cross-dockinglager. I ett sådant förs ständigt ett arbete med att effektivisera processer med hjälp av olika tekniker och strategier. En teknik för att öka omsättningshastigheten i ett lager genom snabbare identifiering och spårning av gods som hanteras är Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).Syftet med studien är att belysa de ständigt återkommande problemområden som uppstår i ett cross-dockinglager samt hur en RFID-lösning skulle kunna stödja dess verksamhet.

Mathematics is a central topic in today's education debate, including discussion of its educational quality and various teaching methods. Today basically two different teaching methods are used; one is the textbook based method, with the book in focus and the other one the laboratory method by which teaching is performed through practical applications. The purpose of this study was to examine four primary school teachers' view of these two teaching methods by means of four relevant inquiries. By interviewing the four teachers, advantages and disadvantages were highlighted and the purpose was achieved. In order to support the analysis, two theories applied; the socio-cultural perspective and the cognitive perspective.

Background: The dependency on knowledge and competence today is more critical than earlier. Today, companies need to put more effort into identifying and filling knowledge gaps, which can be achieved through mergers and acquisitions. It is important that the companies succeed in coordinating their operations after this process of change. Out of a theoretical point of view it can be argued that companies need to balance between different coordination mechanisms that result in standardized and flexible coordination respectively. Purpose: The purpose of this Master Thesis is, in the context of a merger, to investigate and analyze which coordination mechanisms that are used in knowledge-intensive companies, how these coordination mechanisms are combined and what explains the chosen combination.

In this study we try to focus on the costs for wear parts on different type of soil tillage machines and at Väderstad Rapid drilling machine. We have studied some of the leading types of cultivators and disk harrows. Among the cultivators we have investigated Väderstad Cultus, Dalbo Dinkomax, Horsch Tiger and Terrano. At disk harrow we have looked at Amazone Catros and Väderstad Carrier. We have made more detailed study on costs for wear parts, working depth, driving speed and diesel consumption.

Detta är ett examensarbete som handlar om bytet av värmesystem i Glömminge Kyrka på Öland. Glömminge kyrka har bytt ut sitt gamla värmesystem som gick på direktverkande el mot ett mer kostnadseffektivt och miljöanpassat värmesystem. Det nya systemet har brännare med panna för att kunna värma kyrkan med olika sorters miljöbränslen exempelvis rapsfettsyra. I arbetet beskrivs värmesystemet, bränsletyper samt det styrsystem som används för att styra värmesystemet. Examensarbetet handlar även om vilka nivåer av relativ luftfuktighet man bör ha i byggnader med känsliga inventarier och vilka åtgärder man kan vidta för att hålla önskad luftfuktighet..

The project was performed at SiemensIndustry Drive Technologies with theobjective to provide actual values forthe energy savings potential withinSiemens scope of practice.In Sweden the electrical drives standfor about 30 % of the total electricityconsumption and about 60 % of theelectricity consumption within theindustry. During the pre-study phaseelectrical drives with pump applicationswere identified as large energy users.Because of this a case study at one ofSiemens customers, Stora Enso Fors wasperformed. The system that was evaluatedduring the case study was a throttledsystem with a centrifugal pump forpumping pulp.The results yielded that a saving ofover 50 % could be achieved by replacingthe throttle valve with a variable speeddrive, a frequency converter. Thepayback period was two years and twomonths and the present value for thetotal life cycle cost of the variablespeed system was 662.566 SEK lower thanfor the throttled system. As aconsequence, Stora Enso Fors is advisedto invest in a frequency converter forregulation of the system.The general conclusion is that a focuson system efficiency is the mostimportant factor in energy efficiencyprojects and that the system regulationmethod has a large impact on the overallsystem losses and hence its efficiency.Energy efficiency potential forthrottled systems with centrifugal pumpsis large and significant economicalsavings can be made through investmentswith short payback time..

Globalisation and diversity has increased the presence of different languages in Swedish municipalities. As the local administrative authorities with responsibility for the public crisis management, how are these municipalities coping with crisis communication recipients that are not speaking Swedish? Through an inductive approach, this thesis formulates a theory of crisis communication adaptation by studying Swedish municipalities with a large part of inhabitants with foreign backgrounds. This thesis finds that municipalities that are not adapting their crisis communication to non-Swedish speakers follows a discourse that paints a picture of these recipients as at least understanding the Swedish language. Municipalities that do adapt their crisis communication have drawn lessons from local incidents that complements this discourse.

This study aims to investigate, describe and discuss the views of a group of adolescents on their identity and the process of second language acquisition. They all came to Sweden and started studying in Swedish schools in the last three years without any knowledge of the Swedish language.The study has been conducted with respect to the adolescents own perspectives and what they consider important.The methods used are group discussions/ interviews, observations in class and informal discussions with teachers and adolescents.Their voices are described and discussed in this paper. One must take into consideration that there is no objective of being neutral or to generalize the results to any other group or category. On the contrary the study has involved critical self- scrutiny and active reflexivity according to ethnographic tradition.Symbolic interaction has provided a theoretical framework for the study. Looking into how social identities may be constructed or communicated from the adolescents voices and looking in to their use of language the study reveals that several expectations and situations need? to be met by different identities.

Ett av de mest grundläggande problemen som människan har försökt att lösa med hjälp avartificiell intelligens, är bedömning och schemaläggning av tid. Anledningen till detta är atttidsoptimering kan leda till en effektivare verksamhet och leda till kostnadsbesparingar.Med Internet finns nya möjligheter för elektronisk tidsbokning, men alla typer av kunderkräver inte samma tidsåtgång, vilket leder till problematik för företagen gällandeuppskattning och bedömning av tid. En vanlig lösning på problemet är att tillämpa ett såkallat expertsystem. Ett expertsystem besvarar frågor från användaren genom att dralogiska slutsatser baserade på fördefinierade regler och en lagrad kunskapsbas. Med hjälpav personas, det vill säga fiktiva användarmodeller med avsikt att kartlägga ens verkligakunders behov, mål och vanor, kan man dessutom öka systemets konsulteringsprecision.Den här uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie med avsikt att utreda vilka komponenter som etttidsbokningssystem bör ha för att kunna bedöma tidsåtgång utifrån olika kunders specifikabehov och hur detta kan lagras i ett intelligent system.

Vi har undersökt en kommuns personlighet med hjälp av en teori utformad av J. Aaker. Teorin listar ett antal personlighetsdrag som vi genom en enkätundersökning tagit reda på hur invånare i kommunen anser att kommunen passar in på dessa. Vi har undersökt två olika grupper, invånare i kommunen och anställda på kommunens olika förvaltningar för att se om det fanns någon skillnad däremellan. Skillnaden vi fann var väldigt liten.
