I denna studie undersöks det hur begreppet integrerad kommunikation definieras i teorin i jämförelse medhur de praktiker som säger sig arbeta med termen definierar och använder den. Vidare lyfter studien framde barriärer som står framför en praktisk implementering av begreppet, samt möjligheterna till kommaförbi dessa. Syftet är att öka förståelsen för begreppets innebörd samt för hur det kan utnyttjas till sin fullapotential.Konsulter vid Stockholms ledande PR-byråer intervjuades i detta syfte och till grund för diskussionenligger även en omfattande presentation av teorin bakom integrerad kommunikation. Resultaten visar attintegrerad kommunikation i praktiken används på en abstrakt snarare än en konkret nivå, och att barriärernaför en konkretisering kan sammanfattas inom fyra områden: revirtänkande, ekonomiskt system,mätbarhet och nya medier. This Masters thesis concerns feature film services in Swedish public libraries. We have investigated the opinion of eight librarians concerning values and criteria for selection as regards film. The theory chosen comes from varied disciplines, for example sociology, adapted to our subject. The most important theories are Antonio Gramscis idea of hegemony, Herbert J. Gans concept of taste cultures and Carl Gustav Johannsens discussion about quality.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate what the users/visitors do at the Filipstads Bergslags Library when they are there. The questions we asked were "What do the visitors do when they are at the library?" and "How do the visitors give priority to the librarys services?" From these two questions we asked a third "How do the visitors view the library and its functions and what function do they see as the most important to them?" The method we used was a user study and we did this at the request of the management at the library. A questionnaire was constructed and handed out in a pilot study. We made some changes in the questionnaire before we started to hand it out at the library.

Denna studie har haft till syfte att ur fritidspedagogernas perspektiv undersöka hur fritidshemmets fysiska inomhusmiljö fungerar i samverkan med skolan. Vilken plats har fritidshemmet i dagens integrerade skola? På grund av denna integration med grundskolan som pågått sedan 1980-talet då fritidshemmet flyttade in i skolans lokaler, ville vi undersöka hur förutsättningarna för personal på fritidshem att bedriva pedagogisk verksamhet såg ut. Detta gjorde vi genom intervjuer med fritidspedagoger och skolledare samt observationer av hur den fysiska inomhusmiljön såg ut på ett antal fritidshem. Det vi såg var att fritidshemmets lokaler var väldigt olika utformade.

The aim of this bachelor?s thesis is to investigate what role the public library in Sweden may have when it comes to gender equality issues. The questions at issue that were asked, in order to give an answer to the aim, was how the librarians defined and saw work with equality, how much the steering documents for the library impact and what they are doing in their practice to weaken the dichotomies between the sexes. The theoretical starting point used for this study is three concepts, the gender system, the stereotypes and the gender contract described by the Swedish historian Yvonne Hirdman. The purpose of the three concepts is that gender is a social construction which produces gender stereotypes and a gender order in society, which the library is a part of.

The aim of this bachelor?s thesis is to gain deeper knowledge about how librarians in public libraries in Sweden view theirprofessional role with regard to the last decades of change in the library field. Especially concerning the technical evolution and towards a higher user orientation and market mindset, and in which ways this has influenced the librarians everyday working tasks. A particular focus has been placed towards the reference transaction, the use of computers and e-media, and the stock development. We believe that there currently is a changeover, from the libraries traditional line of function, towards them as more of service institutions.The method used in this study for answering the research questions and to gather empirical information is semi-structuredinterviews.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine a new music downloading service called Musikwebben, which is now available in many Swedish libraries. It focuses on the differences and similarities between this service and illegal music sharing services. The question is raised, whether the appeal of Musikwebben is high enough for it to be able to ?recruit? users from similar, illegal services. To answer this question, a qualitative content analysis is used, to explore various views on what legal downloading services have to offer and how these differ to illegal alternatives.

The aim of this thesis is to study social tagging in an OPAC by looking at the tags of Ann Arbor District Library?s catalogue. In this thesis I analyse the possibilities of social tagging. The main questions to be answered are what is the distribution of tags in different categories, what are the differences between fiction and non-fiction and how do the social tags differ from the terms of the professional indexing practice. Studying 500 tags I find that subject matter was the most frequent category for tags assigned to fiction and non-fiction.

The aim of this Master's thesis was to examine the political and cultural reasons for making music materials compulsory at Danish public libraries by the new library act of 2000. The aim was also to examine how the public libraries have responded to this reform. To answer these questions a literature study was conducted as well as interviews. The results of the literature study indicated that the main reason for making music materials compulsory is to increase the influence of the library users. The study of the debate concerning the new library act showed that a majority of the Danish political parties as well as the Danish library organizations had a positive attitude towards the new obligation.

This Master?s thesis is the first to quantitatively study the prevalence of library anxiety at a Swedish university. Library anxiety is a concept describing the negative feelings students can experience when using the library. The study was conducted using web questionnaires sent out to 512 students at Växjö university. 38 % responded and the results were analysed with the help of, amongst other methods, correlation studies.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how four decision makers at a University College and a library director at the same University College perceive the profile, image and identity of their library. This University College library is used as our main example. We have evaluated the main example in relation to two other University College libraries, in order to obtain a deeper understanding of how these library directors view their own libraries and to attain a more multi-dimensional view of the main example of our study. Our intention is to analyse the current situation, not the past nor the future. Qualitative semi-structured interviews with decision makers and library directors have been conducted.

Studiens syfte är att lyfta fram pedagogers uppfattningar och upplevelser av arbetet i förskola med funktionshindrade barn och arbetet i skolan med individuellt integrerade elever.Vi valde en kvalitativ metod där det handlar om människors uppfattning och deras förståelse av sin sociala verklighet. En fenomenografisk ansats för att vi är intresserade av människors tankar och vi har använt oss av en semistrukturerad intervju.Resultatet av vår empiriska undersökning redovisas genom beskrivningskategorier dvs. begrepp som respondenterna själva har benämnt i intervjuerna.Vår diskussion delade vi in i metoddiskussion och resultat- och analysdiskussion. I resultat- och analysdiskussion reflekterar vi över begreppen ansvar, kompetenser, förhållningssätt, utveckling, rektors ansvar, inkludering eller integrering och möjligheter.I vår undersökning ser vi att viljan och engagemanget finns hos pedagogerna för en inkluderad verksamhet. Men vi ser också att de rätta förutsättningarna för att lyckas saknas i deras arbetsvardag.

The purpose for this Master?s thesis is to describe the similarities and the differences of the work at the public libraries? children?s sections, between Sweden and Italy. In order to do that we examine the cultural political presumptions that Swedish and Italian libraries have, such as policies concerning public libraries and children, on a national as well as an international level. We also look at existing attitudes regarding the work at the public libraries? children?s sections, among authors of research literature in our subject.

Föreliggande systematiska litteraturstudies syfte är att undersöka sjuksköterskans evidensbaserade hygienåtgärder som kan förebygga vårdrelaterade infektioner. Artiklarna söktes inom Högskolan Dalarnas bibliotek via databasen Electronic Library Information Navigator (ELIN). Använda sökord var Infect* and Prevent* and Nurs* and Hygien*. De artiklar vars titel och abstrakt motsvarade studiens syfte genomgick kvalitetsgranskning utifrån 28 stycken på förhand fastställda kriterier, sedan evidensgraderades artiklarna på basen av kvalitetsbedömningen med hjälp av en modifierad graderingsskala. Sammanlagt 15 artiklar uppnådde 60 % av kriterierna i granskningsmallen och användes i resultatet.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to describe the library development in Sandviken, during a period from 1865 to 1945. I will mainly focus this examination on the two most significant libraries of the period; on one hand the library facilitated by the ironworks company, and on the other hand the library of the Workers? Educational Association (ABF). This study is carried out within a theoretical framework consisting of the two concepts paternalism and the formative moment, as formulated by Lars Magnusson and Bo Rothstein, respectively.
