Studiens syfte är att undersöka fem personers upplevelser av integration i Östersunds kommun. Alla fem personer är födda och uppvuxna i ett annat land än Sverige och har kommit till Sverige för ungefär två år sedan. Studien lägger stor vikt på den enskildes subjektiva känslor i möten och interaktioner som äger rum i olika sociala sammanhang som t.ex. vardagssituationer eller myndighetskontakter. Studien analyserar och diskuterar huruvida personer med s.k.

Behovet av tillgänglighet på kommunikation innebär att vi idag har krav på att meddelanden som skrivs över webben inte bara når oss via en dator utan även till våra mobiltelefoner. Målet med examensarbetet har varit att genom litteraturstudie och intervjuer konstruera ett webbaserat SMS-system som kan användas till att sända SMS textmeddelande till en godtycklig mobiltelefonenhet. Meddelande som sänds ska även lagras i databas och administreras via webbsidan. En jämförelse har även genomförts där syftet har varit att undersöka bäst lämpat programspråk för Bluetooth applikation. Metoden har grundat sig på kriterier.

BakgrundForskningen kring kvinnors historia började ta form under 1970-talet. Det forskningen visar är att det finns två inriktningar i genusforskningen, antingen kvinnohistoria bredvid manshistoria eller att man flätar ihop kvinnornas i männens historia. I de läromedel som finns på skolorna idag omnämns främst drottningar och religiösa kvinnor.SyfteSyftet med studien är att undersöka om lärare synliggör de båda könen. Frågeställningarna är vilka som står i fokus i historieundervisningen och hur lärarna gör för att skapa ett helhetsperspektiv i undervisningen.MetodVi har använt intervju som metod, och har intervjuat fem lärare på fyra olika skolor, inom samma kommun.ResultatVårt resultat visar att lärarna fortfarande har fokus på kungar och krig i undervisningen men har med ett genusperspektiv i sin undervisning genom att undervisa kring folkets historia istället för enbart makthavare. Resultatet visar också att lärarna har för lite kunskaper kring genusperspektiv kopplat till historieundervisning.

The aim of this master's degree dissertation is to compile examples of different ways of planning, implementing and following up the organisation of two integrated libraries, which serve both the general public and the school. In order to respond to this, we formulated the all-embracing question: How best can the integration of libraries for schools and the general public be planned, implemented and followed up? This formulation gave rise to four further questions. In order to answer these questions, the problem formulated and our basic aim, we have studied the relevant literature on school libraries, libraries for the general public, and integrated libraries. These sources comprise official reports on this theme, dissertations, and more topical articles.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how librarians and family historians experience their interaction at the reference encounter, what influences these views and how they affect the service; whether the family historians are aware of these views; which subject knowledge is needed and how this knowledge affects work performance; if there is a need for continuing education, and finally, if the family historians themselves can work as a resource for the library or the librarians? The thesis consists of three parts; in the first a theoretical frame was constructed around the concepts service, continuing education, subject knowledge and attitudes. Role theory was used as a theoretical background to show how expectations influence professional roles. The second part consists of the results given from the qualitative interviews with librarians and surveys with family historians that were performed. In the last part a discussion from the theoretical and empirical information earlier received was made.

The aim of this thesis is to discuss selected parts of cataloguing both from a practical and a theoretical viewpoint. It presents the basic grounds for cataloguing of printed as well as non-printed materials. The focus lies on the main entry heading and its author/title problem concerning film. The thesis theoretical part consists of an analysis of central documents dealing with the author concept from both a library- and information science perspective and a film science perspective. The practical part consists of interviews from two Swedish public libraries, which have different approaches on presenting films.

The aim of this master thesis is to examine readers? advice in weblogs - frequently modified web pages with a series of archived entries. We have chosen to study a specific kind of entry that contains information about a book of fiction- not for children and young adults - and the bloggers? comments regarding that same book. The entries are published in ten weblogs that all deal with literature and reading.

The aim of this study was to examine how children in ages 3 to 4 use the public library with the research questions: What does children?s, in ages between 3 and 4, information behavior look like when they visit a public library in leisure time with a parent? What is the nature of interaction between child and parent, child and the staff of the library, and between child and other visitors? What is the function of the cultural tools in relation to the children?s information behavior? The theoretical frame of reference consisted of Lev Vygotsky?s ?the zone of proximal development? and Roger Säljö?s theory about using cultural tools. To answer the questions I have observed 4 children together with their mothers and siblings at a public library. From the result of the observations I found that every child had their own information behavior. Two of the children only used one kind of cultural tool ? books.

The aim of this thesis was to examine how role players experiences libraries and if the libraries are or can be an arena for activities that involves role play. A public library exists for everyone, but could nevertheless be viewed as a female sphere where women both borrow more books and visit the libraries program activities to a larger extent, compared to men. I asked the question whether men?s reason for choosing a different venue for information and culture was related to the libraries not being able to satisfy their needs. The theory of the thesis was Dorte Skot-Hansen, Casper Rasmussen Hvenegaard and Henrik Jochumsens model that states that the libraries can have four different functions and act as a venue for meetings, knowledge, inspiration and experiences.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka vad fem olika idrottslärare på gymnasienivå har för syn på skolämnet Idrott och hälsa samt vilka förutsättningar de har för att kunna förmedla kursinnehållet till eleverna. De kvalitativa metoderna intervju och observation används i studien. Lärarna i studien är alla behöriga idrottslärare som arbetar på gymnasieskolor. Ett annat område för fokus är hur lärarna leder kunskapsutvecklingen hos eleverna och vilka kunskaper de prioriterar att hinna lära ut. Idrott och hälsa är ett ämne vars identitet inte är helt fastställd och kunskapsinnehållet är inte så tydliggjort.

Standardvårdplaner är vanligt förekommande inom hälso- och sjukvård och är under ständig utveckling. Standardvårdplaner är i olika grad evidensbaserade och framtagna med skiftande kvalitet. Standardvårdplaner används som ett hjälpmedel för effektivisering och kvalitetshöjning av vården för en specifik patientgrupp och är en på förhand formulerad vårdplan. Behov av ytterligare forskning efterfrågas om standardvårdplaner faktiskt minskar mängden dubbeldokumentation, leder till ökad tidsvinst och ökad vårdkvalitet. Syftet med föreliggande litteraturstudie var att göra en beskrivning av de effekter som användande av standardvårdplaner leder till.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine the function of public libraries on the social web, focusing on reading promotion and reading stimulation. For an understanding of the larger context regarding public libraries on the social web, we conducted online interviews via email with people in the Swedish library profession, together with a content analysis of various texts on the subject found in library journals and on the Internet. Furthermore to identify the public library's practice on reading promotion and reading stimulation on the social web, we did interviews with librarians at a public library on their use of a blog for this purpose, together with a questionnaire handed out to the library's users on their use and conceptions of the blog.The conceptual framework of this study consists of four key aspects in the theoretical and empirical definition of Library 2.0 presented by Holmberg, Huvila and Widén-Wulff. The results showed that the public library can create a substantial value through its use of the social web, but it?s necessary to have a clear vision of the desired outcome.

National libraries hold large, valuable repositories of often unique materials. How can we ensure that the knowledge is accessible without endangering the materials that hold the knowledge? Digital preservation is meant to solve this problem. With more and more material being accessible digitally, users are expected to do more and more of the finding on their own, instead of being guided by librarians. What kind of knowledge do the librarians have, that cannot be mediated through a system? How is the knowledge of experienced librarians passed on to new librarians? What is the difference between physical and digital materials? I have interviewed senior and junior librarians of Det Kongelige Bibliotek in Copenhagen, Nasjonalbiblioteket in Oslo, the National Library in Helsinki, and Kungliga Biblioteket in Stockholm to learn about their journey to knowledge of their collections.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the information need of the incubators that comes from Chalmers University of Technology and are situated at Chalmers Innovation. It is also of interest to investigate how Chalmers University Library covers this information need. The investigation was carried out using qualitative interviews with representatives of the incubators. They were asked questions about the perceived need of information and which type of contacts they had with the library. The result is that the incubators feel that there is a great need for business information that is hard to find.

Mitt huvudsakliga syfte med denna studie är att få fram vilket stöd dessa elever erbjuds för att fungera i skolan samt hur rutinerna på några skolor ser ut idag för att kunna erbjuda elever med Aspergers syndrom en fungerande skolgång?Jag genomfört min undersökning i tre kommuner i Mellansverige, två mindre kommuner samt en lite större. I undersökningen har jag använt mig av kvalitativa intervjuer med enhetsansvariga för resursteamen samt specialpedagogerna som arbetar i resursteamen.Undersökningen visar att det ser olika ut i kommunerna för elever med Aspergers syndrom. I den större kommunen har de särskilda klasser för elever med Aspergers syndrom medan man i de båda mindre kommunerna är eleverna integrerade i den vanliga skolverksamheten. De båda mindre kommunerna har mindre grupper där eleverna med Asperger ofta går hela eller delar av dagen.
