This essay is about leadership in libraries within the academic world, i.e. leadership in research libraries. To place our survey in a context we begin the theoretical review with a chapter about organisation theory. We dont think its possible to separate the leader from the organisation so we wanted to describe the organisation and its effect on the leadership. The next theoretical section is about leadership research.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vilka kunskaper sjuksköterskor har om äldre över 65 år med depression. Studiens syfte var även att beskriva vad som finns i litteraturen om depression hos äldre över 65 år. Depression hos äldre är vanligt, underdiagnostiserat och inkorrekt behandlad. Den orsakar dåligt välbefinnande och ökar vårdtyngden och dödligheten.Studien är en beskrivande litteraturstudie baserad på arton vetenskapliga artiklar. Litteratursökningar gjordes i databaserna CINAHL och PubMed samt manuellt i Högskolans bibliotek.

ForskningsfrågorHur kommer företag att arbeta med showrooms och pop-up butiker i framtiden?Hur ska företag integrera sina olika försäljningskanaler för att behålla en stark position på marknaden?Syfte Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur detaljhandeln kommer att utvecklas i framtiden genom användandet av nya kreativa försäljningskanaler, för att nå nya samt redan befintliga kunder. Vidare syftar uppsatsen till att undersöka vikten av att företagens olika försäljningskanaler är integrerade för att kunna möta kundernas efterfrågan. Syftet är även att skapa en förståelse utifrån hur företag, genom sin kanalintegration, kommer att få konkurrensfördelar på marknaden.Metod Uppsatsen är skriven med en kvalitativ forskningsmetod som har en induktiv ansats med deduktiva inslag. Vi har under studien insamlat empirisk data genom semistrukturerade intervjuer samt två fokusgrupper.Slutsats I denna studie kommer vi fram till att pop-up butiker är ett fenomen som kommer bli allt vanligare, då det är en försäljningskanal som har många fördelar.

During recent years the professional role of librarians has changed considerably. Development in the areas of information technology and the Internet has had a strong impact on libraries. Today?s visitors are in greater need of librarian support for information seeking and other services. This has led to a shift towards the development of a more complex pedagogical role for librarians.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to compare the 6th and the 7th editions of the classification scheme of the Swedish classification system (SAB) to reveal which principles are used concerning the development of this system during the period 1985-1997. Guiding questions are: What kind of changes has been conducted? How do these changes relate to development of other general classification schemes and to theories concerning revision work? The results of the analysis show that possibilities to use synthesis have increased by an extension of use of geographic and chronological subdivisions. The classification scheme has also been easier to use by elimination of parallel subdivisions and regularization of the scheme. To maintain stability revision is performed on selected subclasses.

Svensk försvarslogistik genomgår i skrivande stund en stor organisationsförändring som innebär att stora delar av verksamhets- och ansvarsområden som tidigare funnits under Försvarsmaktens logistik, FMLOG, nu överförs till den civila myndigheten Försvarets Materielverk, FMV. Försvarsmakten och FMV skall genom reformen tillsammans spara 760 miljoner kronor per år. Besparingar som skall skapa ekonomiska förutsättningar att utveckla Försvarsmakten mot ett mer användbart och tillgängligt försvar.I uppsatsen analyseras i vilken utsträckning de fem grundläggande principerna för militär logistik; Helhetssyn, Resurseffektivitet, Behovsstyrd logistik, Anpassad tillgänglighet och Interoperabilitet varit integrerade i reformen Omdaning Försvarslogistik vilket svarar på frågan om det finns en spårbarhet till Försvarsmaktens Grundsyn Logistik i densamma.  Undersökningen visar att principen Resurseffektivitet är fokus för reformens mål och syfte men att även övriga principer till viss del går att spåra i reformsarbetet. En slutsats jag dragit av detta är att Försvarsmaktens Grundsyn Logistik och de fem grundläggande principerna för militär logistik används vid planering av militär logistik och bedöms därför inte vara inaktuella. I uppsatsens avslutande del diskuteras undersökningens resultat och slutsatser och paralleller dras till både teori kring militär logistik och till rådande forskningsläge inom området..

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine libraries which combine the functions of school- and public library and to evaluate the staff?s experience and attitude towards a library profile with the emphasis on children and youth. The purpose of the study is also to examine how the libraries work with several tasks and functions within different target groups with different needs.With new institutionalism and Scandinavian institutional theory the thesis examine the library as an organization and what influences the construction. With a model that describes how the library constitutes four different rooms in the society I investigate the different functions.The methodology is qualitative with interviews of five persons of the staff, four librarians and one library assistant. The study examines how the staff that works at two libraries under similar conditions experiences their tasks.

Information security is an essential part of all information systems; especially in large organizations and companies dealing with classified material. Every large information system has an architecture that includes many parts that together form an Enterprise Architecture. The aim of this thesis is to study how to describe several security functions in an Enterprise Architecture and also how to ensure accountability between requirements and the implementation of the security functions. The description is for stakeholders on a conceptual level rather than a technical level. The study has been carried out by comparing the theoretical framework that has been formed by a study of the literature, and the empirical framework that has been formed by a group discussion and interviews with Information Security Consultants from Combitech AB.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the view on reading and reading promotion in the Culture of Reading (SOU 2012:65), based on three different approaches to reading and reading promotion; the pragmatic, the emancipatory and the traditionalistic. The thesis is based on the following questions; which view on reading can be seen in the Culture of Reading and which view on librarians? reading promotion can be seen in the Culture of Reading. To answer these questions, I am going to apply the aforementioned approaches on the Culture of Reading. The Culture of Reading is an official report from the Swedish government and parts of it will be subject to a qualitative content analysis.

he purpose of this master thesis is to learn more about the ancient Alexandrian Library. The method used in this thesis is methodology of history, especially a critical attitude when it comes to evaluating the ancient texts. I put forward three questions to which I desire to find answers. First: What do the sources from Antiquity tell about the Alexandrian library? Second: How do modern writers of books on the subject use these sources? Thirdly: I look into the possible historical and cultural reasons that the first of the Ptolemaic kings could have had for establishing the Mouseion and the Library of Alexandria.

De tre funktionsnedsättningarna ADHD, autism och Aspergers syndrom förekommer hos barn i förskolan. Det är få av dem som har en fastställd diagnos i förskoleåldern, men även detta förekommer i några fall. I dagens Sverige går dessa barn generellt i integrerade förskolor vilket utgör en pedagogisk utmaning. Syftet med den här studien är att lyfta fram pedagogers upplevelser, syn och arbetssätt gällande integreringen av förskolebarn med ADHD, autism eller Aspergers syndrom i den så kallade vanliga förskolan. Fyra pedagoger från två olika förskolor i två skilda kommuner i mellersta Sverige deltar i kvalitativa intervjuer rörande vilket arbetssätt som tillämpas, hur de upplever att barnen integreras samt om det finns hinder mot integreringen och hur man eventuellt kan överkomma dessa.

This thesis describes the introduction of Web 2.0 education into Swedish LIS education with emphasis on the driving forces and obstacles in the process. It also discusses the possibilities of estimating the appropriate time for the start of new educational courses introducing new technologies, when it is uncertain if the technologies in question will sustain for a long enough period of time to make the educational effort worthwhile. The data on the Web 2.0 education was collected during the spring of 2010 from the Web pages of the five LIS departments in Sweden, namely Borås, Lund, Umeå, Uppsala and Växjö, as well as by 10 interviews during November and December 2010 with two representatives from each LIS department..The key finding is that Web 2.0 is covered in Swedish LIS education and embracing both practical and theoretical issues. The main driving forces have been both the needs of the profession and an academic research interest. It is concluded that Rogers??S-curves? as described in ?Diffusion of Innovation? can be used as a tool in order to improve the understanding of when to introduce education in new technologies.

In 2003 the libraries of ten municipalities in the northern part of Sweden were each given 10 000 (SEK) by the BIN-project to purchase books on demand instead of making inter-library loans. This attempt was called Köpa på efterfrågan (Purchasing on demand). The purpose of this master thesis is to evalutate Köpa på efterfrågan. The results of the evaluation show that the books purchased on demand were quite popular. Almost all the purchased books were non-fictional with most books being bought within the field of medicin.

For young people today the ability to read and interpret text seems to be of decreasing standard. This bachelor thesis is trying to find patterns among five different library patrons, all adults and most of them readers for life. The specific aims are, through their individual stories, to find out what made and helped them become readers of literature for enjoyment and pleasure. How do they look upon themselves as readers, how do they find their reading and finally which role does it play in their everyday lives. Five semi-structured interviews have been conducted in a qualitative way and been put through a thematic-narrative analysis.The avid readers of this study all read throughout their lives and almost right from the beginning read a lot.
