The purpose of this paper was to examine social workers' experiences of Integration of unaccompanied children. We aimed to study which factors in the individual and the community social workers experience affect the Integration and how they, based on their understanding, work to promote Integration. The essay has a phenomenological approach and focuses on the social workers' own experiences of the phenomenon. The empirical data was obtained from qualitative interviews conducted with five social workers, all administrators in cases involving unaccompanied children. The result shows that the social workers feel that the desire to integrate is the most important presumption that must be present in the unaccompanied children.

The Integration policy aims to integrate newly arrived immigrants (nyanlända invandrare), whereas the minority policy aims to maintain and strengthen the rights of the national minorities. The national minorities are though, at times, included into the Integration policy, even though they hold a minority status in Sweden. This paper aims to, through discourse analysis, investigate the research question: ?how is the content of Integration referred to, when it is related to immigrants, contra when it is related to national minorities?.

This essay is a case study that deals with the Integration of Scania into Sweden,which started for over 300 years ago. The purpose is to capture why theIntegration of Scania succeeded, what were the main reasons or factors and todiscuss the effects the scanian identity and culture had on the Integration. This hasbeen done with the help of different theories that will help sort out main factors tothe successful Integration. The result of the study revealed a number of factors, tobegin with the scanian identity appeared not to be such a great obstacle for theIntegration that one could believe. The identity developed because of the?swedification?, which were the measures the Swedish government took tointegrate the new territory.

AbstractThe purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyse Europol. The research questions are:- How would increased powers for Europol impact on the cooperation between Europol and police authorities in EU-member states?- Which one of the two theories transactionalism and neofunctionalism can best create an understanding of Europol and its Integration with the police of the member states?In so doing the study applies a qualitative method.Europol is the European Police Office and it was established through the Maastricht treaty in 1992 with the purpose of making the Integration between police of the EU member states more efficient. In order for Europol to make Integration between the police of member states more efficient it can be suggested that it needs for Europol to develop into having executive powers.One conclusion of this study is that Europol is an important tool for Integration in the EU but there are at least three issues that are influencing the level of effectiveness in the Integration work between the police of the member states; possible mistrust, that Europol has no executive powers and that it is voluntary for member states to participate in assisting Europol with information. Another conclusion is that Europol can be understood through an Integration perspective when transactionalism and neofunctionalism are complementing each other..

Vi lever idag i ett mångkulturellt samhälle där Integration har blivit en allt viktigare fråga. Då en stor del av Sveriges befolkning har annan etnisk bakgrund än svensk blir det viktigare att mötas och respektera varandra. Detta är i stort vad Integration går ut på och något som det arbetas med dagligen. I denna antologi behandlas Integration ur fyra olika perspektiv. Gemensamt för dessa bidrag är att de behandlar Integrationsprocesser och identitetsskapande.

SAMMANFATTNING:Syftet med den här studien har varit att belysa och undersöka, utifrån en Integrationsenhets lokalkontor i en glesbygdskommun i Norrland, dess Integrationshandläggares syn på Integration. Begreppet Integration är svårdefinierat och det var därför intressant att ta reda på hur just dessa personer tänker och resonerar kring ämnet för att få en inblick av deras bild av Integration och om och hur det påverkar deras sätt att arbeta. Resultatet vittnar om att begreppet Integration är mångfacetterat och ter sig olika, även för yrkesverksamma inom samma profession, på samma arbetsplats, med samma arbetsuppgifter. Studien är kvalitativ och grundar sig på halvstrukturerad intervju som forskningsmetod. Intervjusvaren har analyserats utifrån meningskategorisering och presenteras under teman kopplade till studiens frågeställningar.

Detta PM är resultatet av ett arbete som är utfört vid Banverket Telenät i Borlänge. Målet var att leverera en kravspecifikation över en Integration mellan systemen Ärling och DNA. Syftet med examensarbetet var att belysa de bakomliggande orsakerna som skapar behovet av en Integration.Banverket Telenät har idag kund och beställareinformation i flera databaser. Uppdatering och underhåll av dessa databaser är ett problem för verksamheten. För att upprätthålla konsistent information så önskas en Integration av kund- beställareinformationen.Vi fick som uppdrag att framställa en kravspecifikation över hur en Integration av kund och beställareinformation kunde möjliggöras.

This study is about the work of including immigrants to the Swedish society. The reason that we chose Landskrona community is that it is a town with a high population of immigrants. The purpose of this work has been to examine how projectleaders reflect about the work of Integration in Landskrona and their point of view regarding the term Integration. Our questions were: what is the projectleaders view on the term Integration, how does the projectleaders reflect about the work of Integration in Landskrona, how would the projectleaders like the work of Integration to be, how does the projecleaders reflect about the future work of Integration in Landskrona.We used a qualitative method to do this study and interviewed six persons who all work in various projects, that are working for including immigrants to the Swedish society.Our main results in our study is various kinds of thoughts and reflections of the work of Integration in Landskrona, but there were some things that were more approaching than others. There is a high ambition of integrate immigrants into the Swedish society in Landskrona and the projectleaders had all many reflections of their work.

Abstract In general, language is the key to the community, to self-sufficiency and independence. Being able to speak the Swedish language is a part of the community Integration. Integration also has a practical aspect that includes everyday life and affects one's opportunities in the labor market. Therefore, we have selected in this paper to focus on the language and Integration but inevitably we will also discuss the education you need on the labor market. The purpose of this study is to describe how the staffs at the Language Café Nobel works for an increased Integration in Malmo, and examine the significance of Language Café Nobel have for their participants.

Abstract The purpose of this essay is to compare the Integration policy between Socialdemokraterna, Moderaterna and Sverigedemokraterna with focus on labor-market Integration, housing segregation and language knowledge. The international immigration has in recent years increased significantly and this has also enriched the receiving countries and still the numbers of extreme right parties have increased. In Sweden a racist populist party, Sverigedemokraterna, are only a few steps away from entering the parliament. The question in focus is: What differences or similarities are there between the Integration politics between Moderaterna, Socialdemokraterna and Sverigedemokraterna with focus on the areas housing, work and language?  By applying the theoretical framework to the data, I have been able to present answers and build up an analysis. The study concludes that there are more similarities than differences in the Integration policy between Moderaterna and Socialdemokraterna.

Public opinion has increasingly become a political force in the European Integration process. At present, it appears that the people?s attitude towards the European Integration is relatively skeptical. How can we expect that the attitude towards European Integration will evolve in the future? This paper tests the extent to which diffusion theory can serve as a model to explain the development of attitudes to European Integration policy in Sweden from 1999 until 2009.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relations of power within the discourse of Integration and my focus will be on power relations and structural discrimination. The study origins from four qualitative interviews with employees from the County administrative board as well as from the Employment office.The theoretical framework is based upon Social Constructionism, Postcolonial Theories and with an intersectional perspective.
