Open access (OA) is a publishing model aimed at increasingthe access to academic research results. The object of thisstudy was to contrast nine colleges and four fundingorganizations in Scandinavia with mandatory OA-policies,and to study how they put OA into practice.Inspired by the Open Access Spectrum (OAS), a tool used toappreciate the OA of academic journals, the aim was tograde the policy documents of the colleges using the OASmodel.The study also compares how the colleges implementtheir OA-policies as well as how, and if, the demands fromthe funding organizations are reflected in the policies of thecolleges.The findings show that the OAS is not a tool designed forgreen OA and that all the information needed for the scale tofunction was not found in the policy documents we studied.A selection of the colleges has some demands in theirpolicies, although most of them allow exceptions to be madefrom the mandatory policy. This is shown to be mainly aquestion of academic freedom, and copyright, or rather thanthe degree to which the scientist and the publisher can cometo an agreement on allowing the information to be accessiblethrough OA.The study proposes that the way to change this may be toincrease the demands on OA in the policies, and that the bestsolution might be in stipulations within the employmentcontracts between the individual colleges and scientist..

I hälso- och sjukvården i Sverige används ett flertal medicintekniska apparater och IT-system. Ofta läser man av en skärm på den medicintekniska apparaten och noterar informationen på papper för att sedan manuellt mata in dessa uppgifter i IT-systemen. Detta manuella mellanled finns det önskemål och förhoppningar om att slippa. Man vill kunna överföra information automatiskt mellan den medicintekniska apparaten och IT-systemet, med andra ord vill man integrera dem. För att åstadkomma detta måste ett antal grund-läggande förutsättningar uppfyllas.

In the post Cold-War era, world politics was transforming itself through its emerging complex issues such as terrorism and influential and interdependent actors such as the European Union. In this new era, the European Union was developing its Common Foreign and Security Policy pillar both to present a coherent and unified EU policy and to prove its political potent in order to become an influential actor on world politics. On the other side, security environment was also transforming its content through emerging actors and issues. As one of the most prominent actors of the world politics, the EU was influenced by the transformation of security environment, whose economic ?soft power? proved necessary but insufficient for being a global power in this emerging security environment.

This thesis uses the ?What's the problem?-approach developed by Carol LeeBacchi. This approach studies how the problem that a certain policy is supposedto take care of is represented. Each representation will rest upon certainassumptions and will accordingly support certain solutions while other solutionswill be considered less suitable to the problem as it is represented.The thesis therefore evaluates the competing problem representations forgender mainstreaming in Sweden. The theory chapter explores two developmentpossibilities for gender mainstreaming, based on diversity and deliberativedemocracy.

Vid ett företagsförvärv måste båda företagets anställda integreras, så att respektive expertkunskap kommer båda företagen tillgodo. Frågor rörande hur anställda ska integreras blir dock ofta förbisedda under de förhandlingar som föregår uppköpet. I den här uppsatsen har vi studerat hur företag verksamma inom IT- och telekombranschen hanterar företagsförvärv och integration av det uppköpta företagets anställda, samt om organisationskulturen påverkar integrationsprocessen. Utifrån ett organisatoriskt perspektiv beskrivs vilka skillnader och likheter som kan identifieras i integrationsprocessen vid förvärv inom IT- och telekombranschen. Dessa skillnader ställs dels mot befintliga teorier, som fokuserar på tillverkande företag, och dels mot fallföretagens sätt att hantera integrationsprocessen.

In May 2004 eight former communist countries (EU-8) with close historical trade ties to Russia joined the European Union. According to integration theory, we expect that Russia ? a so called third country ? in some cases may suffer from trade diversion due to this. This thesis focuses on the possible effects on Russian trade resulting from the 2004 eastern enlargement of the European Union. It aims to find out whether any evidence of trade diversion can be found.

In this essay, I investigate Swedish possibilities to influence the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP). After having summarized my findings, I try to explain the structure of influence by using Multi-level governance theory.Ten years have passed since Sweden joined the Union, and many changes have followed in the agricultural sector. By investigating the small country of Sweden's possibilities to influence CAP, I hope to be able to get a notion of the possibilities to influence the EU in general. The essay examines four possible paths for agricultural interests to influence the policy process in Brussels:* Through elected representatives of Sweden in the European Parliament, the Council of Ministers and in the Swedish Parliament* Through subnational institutions, such as the local authorities and regional representatives.* Through the Swedish Agricultural Office* Through the Swedish pressure group within the agricultural area, LRFThese four groups all have very different channels to the policy process on agricultural issues. The differences are mostly in terms of decisive power or advisory power and institutional contacts or lobby contacts.

SammanfattningTrots att Sveriges befolkning består i dag av c:a 10% invandrare. Är det fortfarande svårt för många av dem att komma in i det svenska samhället i dag. Problemet med diskriminering bland invandrare i Sverige gör att många av de riskerar att hamna utanför samhällets kretsar. Trots detta problem har ett fenomen visat att invandrare kan integreras till det svenska samhället. Det här fenomenet är fotboll en sport som har visat sig vara ett viktigt hjälpmedel för integration av unga invandrarkillar i Sverige, enligt en undersökning som gjordes av Jesper Fundberg åt riksidrottsförbundet (2003).

Research now shows that the Individual Educational Programs (IEP) are dominated by individual- oriented actions. This despite the fact that the school`s policy documents advocate that IEP should be viewed in context of the school`s activities. Support must be seen from a holistic perspective and the student`s difficulties will be related to the whole school environment. In an attempt to understand why the individual- oriented actions are still there, I have studied how specific IEP are formulated, and how it relates to the school`s policy documents.In the study, I used discourse theory as a method. By examining the I E P in educational activity, I wanted to find the meaning with which the concept of individual, group and organizational level were filled.The results show that the IEP in comparison with the policy documents mainly differ on the definition of group and organizational level.

I detta examensarbete beskriver jag FMT-metoden (Funktionsinriktad MusikTerapi). Jag beskriver även sensorisk integration och innebörden av sinnesintegrering och relaterar det till hur arbetet med FMT kan utföras. Under min praktikperiod har arbetet pågått med flera adepter. Valter som har diagnosen Autism och Stellan som har diagnosen Down syndrom, får en närmare presentation här. Jag undersöker också om det går att nå fram till dessa personer med denna ickeverbala metod, när deras förutsättningar är så olika. Båda har funktionsnedsättningar, men av olika slag.

Uppsatsen handlar om ett projekt som ägde rum på en gymnasieskola i södra Sverige. Projektet syftade till att låta elever, från olika kulturella bakgrunder, lära känna varandra genom intervjuer. Fyra klasser med totalt 38 elever blev givna uppgiften att skriva ett personporträtt om den de intervjuade. Detta gav studenterna möjligheten att lära känna varandra, samtidigt som de fick veta mer om respektive elevs kulturella bakgrund. Min del i detta projekt var att utvärdera resultatet genom att intervjua elever och lärare, för att se vad de tyckte om projektet.

The purpose of this qualitative research study is to examine if and how the teachers from a multicultural International School work with intercultural pedagogy. The school in question isprofiled and consists of both Swedish- and English classes. The study examines if and how the teachers related to the great variety of cultures and created opportunities for integration between the students and handling with values at school. It is important to be aware as a teacher to be able to take an active part in working towards a school that gives possibilities for different cultures to meet. If this is neglected, it may increase the risk of problems and cultural clashes between the students.

Kan Sverige lära sig något om invandring och flyktingmottagande från ett land som ligger på andra sidan Atlanten? Kanada beskrivs i bland som en nation av invandrare. Landet har en lång historia av invandring och det är en viktig del av landets ekonomi. Kanada tar årligen emot omkring 260 000 invandrare. Knappt hälften av invandrarna väljer att bosatta sig i mångmiljonstaden Toronto.

Efterfrågan i service- och turismbranschen varierar mycket beroende på säsong. Detta gör att även behovet av personal varierar och måste anpassas genom tidsbegränsade anställningar. Varje säsongsstart innebär ett flertal nyanställda med behov av integration i företaget, dess servicefilosofi med mera. Säsongsanställda har ofta mycket kundkontakt och representerar företaget utåt. Det är därför viktigt att motivera och integrera den säsongsanställde.

AbstractThis bachelor thesis was performed at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm on behalf of the Land Survey Authority. The thesis is about fish conservation and division of fishing water at official duty. It is the Land Survey Authority that examines division of fisheries, but before a case can be implemented, certain requirements must be achieved such as FBL 3:8, which prevent divisions that are deleterious for fish conservation. The purpose of this thesis is: to obtain a clearer view how FBL 3:8 should be applied in practice, how the application differs between the offices in central Sweden, and how fish care is regulated at both international and national levels.At an international level, in EU the commercial fishery is regulated through the common fisheries policy (CFP). The fisheries policy consists of a reform that will last for 10 years.
