The purpose of this study is to first investigate how a group of Syriac women participating in the Syriac/Aramaic Academics Association (SAAF ? Syrianska/Arameiska Akademikerförbundet) at a Swedish university perceive their ethnic identity, and maintain it in the mainstream Swedish society. Furthermore, it considers whether SAAF as an ethnic institution provides an arena for the reproduction of social capital in interaction with the women's families. This study is based on previous research and theories of ethnic identity and its role in the building of social capital within so-called ethnic groups. The method used for this study involves qualitative interviews, to achieve its aims.

Sexual harassment is something that has existed for several decades, and are something that still occurs today in many places around our society. In the fall of 2017, a movement called the Metoo-movement, started and spread across the whole world, which made an impact on many countries ? particularly Sweden. Serval women from different occupational groups started to share their stories to the media, about sexual harassment that they gone thru, in order to show that the perpetuators are just ordinary men in their industry, which is something that media previous misconception provided about. The first stories that reached the Swedish residents were from the Swedish film- and theater industry, and were also one of the most known and visible first call-out groups. They shared 703 different stories about sexual harassment to one of Sweden's leading newspapers, Svenska Dagbladet, in november of 2017.

Abstract: In this Master's thesis our aim is to study the situation and process regarding the decision to use outsourcing of the media acquisition function in a Swedish public library. By using New institutional theory, focusing on ways of organising and values in the organisation we are able to analyse this phenomenon. Skot-Hansens theory about three different culture political argumentation schemes, humanistic, sociological and Instrumental (or market oriented), gives us the opportunity to place statements and facts into a functional theoretical context. The market oriented scheme is further clarified with the concept of New Public Management. The role of values in the institution, regarding aims and goals is stressed.

Learning from traumatic events: a comparative case study of governmental close protection policies in the aftermath of the murder of Olof Palme and Anna LindhViolent and threatful crimes against politicians are as despicable as any other crime acts against citizen. However, if politicians are targeted solely due to their position ? the act can seriously damage the state and central government.This paper compares reports of government commissions and investigations which were initiated after the murder of Swedish prime minister Olof Palme in 1986 and secretary of state Anna Lindh in 2003. The purpose is to analyse and compare the conclusions and distinguish the main arguments that led to those conclusions and decipher similarities and differences through the lens of Tom Christensen?s Instrumental perspective as well as Peter May?s social policy learning theory.

Syfte: Huvudsyftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka betydelsen av finansiella rapporter genom att studera aktiekursens reaktion på Stockholmsbörsen för tidpunkten när företags finansiella rapporter blir offentliga. Detta bryts ned i två delsyften; Skapar årsrapporter synbara reaktioner på svenska aktiemarknaden OMX vid tidpunkten för offentlighetsdatumet? samt följer reaktionerna på svenska aktiemarknaden årsrapporternas status? Metod: Undersökningen är uppdelad i två delar. Den första utgörs av en nyckeltalsanalys, på 81 finansiella rapporter mellan åren 1991-2009, för att fastställa rapporternas status och den senare är en eventstudie som behandlar aktieutvecklingen vid offentlighetsdatumet för rapporterna. Undersökningen har en kvantitativ ansats där empirin består av sekundärdata i form av årsredovisningar, delårsrapporter och börskursindex.Teori: Rapporten bygger på hypotesen om effektiva marknader, signalteorin samt teorin om insiderinformation.Empiri: Utav 81 undersökta rapporter var 32 stycken starka, 27 stycken svaga, och 22 stycken neutrala.  Alla rapporters eventfönster för offentliggörandet gav antingen ett positivt eller negativt AAR.

Det här examensarbetet behandlar Suzukipedagogiken och barns upplevelser av föräldrars aktiva stöd och engagemang när deras barn lär sig spela ett musikinstrument. Undervisningsmetoden bygger på interaktionen mellan elev, förälder och lärare, vilket utgör Suzukipedagogikens hörnstenar. För examensarbetets utförande valde jag ut fyra informanter, utifrån kriteriet att de skulle ha haft minst en förälder som utövar musik som amatör eller professionellt. Vidare skulle två informanter ha undervisats på ett sätt med anknytning till Suzukipedagogiken, och de andra två skulle ha undervistats inom ramen för traditionell Instrumentalundervisning. Motiveringen till urvalet var att därmed kunna jämföra informanterna mot deras olika bakgrunder av undervisningsmetoder.

This thesis purpose was to contribute to knowledge which could explain the driving forces behind Corporate Social Responsibility in corporate Sweden and their strategic impact from a management perspective. The method used to archive this research was a qualitative interpretative study conducted by interviews. The thesis is based on descriptive theories of drivers for CSR, concepts of strategy and CSR and normative/Instrumental theories suggesting a strategic approach to CSR and stakeholder management. The empirical study is based on interviews with Swedish business managers in a strategic board position as well as consultants working with CSR strategies, supported with internet information from companies? webpage.
