Men på grund av fel i drivrutiner för GPIB-gränssnittet kunde jag inte köra programmet med GPIB-bussen.Genom att använda LabVIEW 8.2 med hjälp av DAQ-kort kan en PID-regleringsalgoritm simuleras. PID konstrueras med virtuella instrument som innehåller alla nödvändiga komponenter och utrustning som krävs för att reglera någon linjär eller olinjär process exempelvis att nivåreglera två tankar i serie.

This thesis is a comparative analysis of language policy in the Post-Soviet states Ukraine and Kazakhstan, wherein the states are seen as rational actors using language as an instrument in the nation-building process. With a take-off point in an underframe of theories on the nation, national identity, instrumentalism, power and the particular role of language in the nation-building process, this thesis shows that language is a key instrument used by the two states.The Ukrainian and Kazakhian language policies create and put across a certain image of the nation, by emphasising the titular languages as symbols of the new states. The line of argument in the language policy is a balance act between large-scale promotion of titular languages and a careful and inclusive attitude towards the Russian language. The biggest differences are that Ukraine, compared to Kazakhstan, has a more comprehensive and consequent language policy with a deeply rooted historic rhetoric. The most obvious instruments of the states in language policy is censuses, corpus-planning and the state choosing one official language..

The aim of this paper is to examine if the two latest Peace Plans in the Palestine-Israeli con-flict observes the sources of the conflict and presents measures in the purpose of solving them. The point of departure is William Azar?s theory of protracted social conflict (PSC). According to Azar, the internal sources of a PSC lies in three clusters of variables: the com-munal content of a society, the deprivation of human needs as an underlying source of PSC, and the role of the state in the deprivation or satisfaction of human needs. The study is de-signed as a multiple-case study where the units of analysis are the Roadmap to Peace and the Geneva Initiative.

The function of budgetary controls is to control the resource allocation within companies. It can also be an instrument for measure and control subordinates and/or business units? performance (Van der Stede 2001). This paper concerns the latter; when the budgetary control function is used to measure and control subordinates performance based on budget. Previous research in this area has not yet accomplished to explain the effects of tight budgetary control which Hartman (2000) considers as the main issue to be concerned about in management accounting research.Previous research has presented contradictory findings regarding tight budgetary control explained by positive effects as well as negative effects during the last decades.

Södra Cell Mörrum is one of the five paper pulp plants that are included in Södra Cell, and the paper pulp that is produced here is not only sold to Swedish paper mills. Most of the paper pulp is exported to different countries in Europe. In the manufacturing process the plant needs different kind of process water and there are guideline values for how much copper, iron and sodium this water is allowed to contain. Analyzes of this water is in the current situation done with an atomic absorption spectrometric instrument (AAS-instrument) with a flame. Measurements done with flame-AAS of samples that have concentrations near the guideline values for copper, iron and sodium, are not reliable. The reason for not being reliable is that the quantitation limits of these metals are higher than the limit values.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the properties of the municipalities in Sweden that influence the choice of being a certified Fairtrade city. The independent variables which are used in the statistical analysis are municipal governance, local tax rate, whether there is an university and/or university college in the municipality, average income and higher education in the municipality. The variables are examined by logistic regression. Since there are no statistical data on ethical procurement, this exogenous variable isn?t included in the regression.

Syfte och mål: Syftet var att modifiera och utvidga det generiska instrumentet ?Postoperative Recovery Profile? (PRP) för att utvärdera återhämtningen efter kranskärlsoperationer (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)). Bakgrund: Efter en kranskärlsoperation riskerar patienterna att drabbas av en mängd olika postoperativa symtom. Goda kunskaper om återhämtningsprocessen är en förutsättning för god omvårdnad. Vi kunde inte finna något procedurspecifikt instrument för utvärdering av de postoperativa symtomens omfattning och varaktighet efter denna typ av operation. Design: För att utveckla ett procedur-specifikt instrument i form av ett frågeformulär användes en kvantitativ design. Metod: Det generiska instrumentet PRP innehållande 19 punkter, modifierades och utökades med procedur-specifika symptom som identifierades genom en litteraturöversikt. Innehållsvalideringen genomfördes med sjukvårdspersonal (n = 15), inneliggande patienter (n = 12) och polikliniska patienter (n = 4).

The purpose of this study was to develop two types of prediction models for Scots Pine and Norway Spruce. The first type for calculation of the stump diameter under bark the year the tree reached breast height (Dstubh130). The second type for calculation of the annual difference, e.g. the number of growth years between stump height (0.2 m) and breast height (1.3 meters above ground level). The primary thought with these prediction models is to obtain the breast height age in the trees on basis of the number of annual rings at stump.

Fast uppkopplade larmnät används för att åstadkomma övervakad och säker överföring av larm och annan information mellan tekniska system för skydd och säkerhet. Larmöverföringen är ständigt övervakad från larmanläggningen ända fram till larmcentralen. Ett problem som idag finns i larmnät är att om man tappar kontakten med en larmsändare så vet man bara att man tappat kontakten, men inte varför. Därför vill man nu utveckla ett instrument som kan mäta och kontrollera vad som orsakar att uppkopplingen bryts t.ex.

With increased globalization more companies are sending their employees abroad in order for the company?s survival on the market. Many studies in the field of International Business describe unsuccessful foreign assignments and the importance of intercultural support regarding expatriation. Due to the fact that company X is an international organization we found an interest in studying how the company handles their expatriation process in Sweden. This became the purpose of our study.

Kontinuerlig övervakning av patienters blodsocker under operationer och vård har visat sig givande men krångligt. Företaget Senzime i Uppsala har utvecklat ett instrument för att göra detta. Detta instrument är en biosensor som mäter blodsocker genom att uppmäta värmeflödet som bildas när sockret i blodet bryts ner av immobiliserade enzymer. Vi fick i uppdrag att föreslå reaktoryta med tillhörande enzym.Förslaget vi presenterar består i en reaktoryta av kiseldioxidkulor täckta med akrylonitril-co-polymer. På denna ska glukosoxidas och katalas immobiliseras kovalent i närvaro av glukos.Under projektets gång har vi jämfört våra förslag mot patentdatabaser.

This study focuses on work related factors which have an effect on the balance between peoples work and private/social life. Commonly discussed in the daily debate is the so called ?livspusslet?, the time puzzle. The question is: How do you balance the demands from work, family and society? A lot of peoples health and family relations suffers from a stressful situation at work.It?s not hard to figure out that the possible factors which could have an effect on the balance between peoples work and private/social life are many.

I denna studie undersöker vi tre musiklärares syn på interpretation i en pop/rock-orienterad ensemblemiljö. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av tre kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer där informanterna bestod av verksamma ensemblelärare i gymnasieskola samt högskola.Resultatet av studien visar att de intervjuade lärarna är eniga om att interpretation är viktigt, oavsett vilket instrument lärarna spelar eller vilken genrepraxis de följer. Däremot skiljer sig metoderna åt när lärarna interpreterar beroende på instrument och sammanhang. I resultatet reflekterar de intervjuade lärarna över vad interpretation innebär och beskriver olika tillvägagångssätt för att implementera detta i undervisningen..

As a guitarbuilder it is an advantage if you can control and understand what is creating the character of the tone. To approach this vast jungle of variables that controls the tone in a guitar, I built two guitars and in one, guitar 2, reduced the thickness of soundboard, back and sides.The purpose was to compare the guitars and establish if there was a significant difference and what it was, in the guitars ability to produce sound. The thought was also to try the thesis: loud but short, long but moderate tone. Also if a lighter built guitar has an advantage in producing a loud but short ton and vice versa.The instruments has been examined by five guitarist, one guitarbuilder and a professor in Speech, music and hearing at KTH in Stockholm.The relative obvious conclusion is that guitar 2 is a bit louder and has a clearer base and treble but the more part of the guitarists fancied guitar 1 better. This one has got more mass fore the tone to stay alive with.
