The purpose of this study is to investigate and describe the role of course books for teaching English to children at intermediate level of primary school in Sweden. The essay is based on a descriptive, qualitative method and interviews have been conducted with seven teachers in different schools, teaching English in year 4, 5 and 6.The result of the study shows that course books have considerably influence on the teaching of English in the schools who took part in this investigation. The participating teachers use a course book as main teaching material and almost everybody follows the traditional routine working with Textbook and complementary tasks in Workbook every week. They base their lessons on course books and use alternative teaching material mainly for fun activities, speaking practice and individualization. Even though all teachers rank speaking and listening as most important for new learners, it is reading which has the largest impact on their teaching.

Today green tree retention, together with leaving dead wood, is a common practice with the aim to reduce negative impacts on biodiversity and environment due to clear-felling. To better understand whether this conservation practice also makes a long-term difference, it is important to know what happens to these trees after harvest. Few studies have made an assessment of what happens to retention trees over a longer time period. In this study I inventoried retention trees that were left at clear-cuts six, twelve and eighteen years ago. I carried out a re-inventory of 57 retention patches (divided into free-standing tree groups, small swamp forests and edge zones) and free standing dead trees, spread over 25 previous clear-cuts in central Sweden.

The purpose of this report is to present some of the market's façade panels and to do a survey of Masonite façade panels and compare. Therefore I have looked closer on potential competitors and studied their assembly method and properties. I will also propose suggestions on installing Masonite panels and improvements to the current carrying system. The purpose of this paper was to examine how people experience the practice of Cannabis in daily life. The study was based on interviews with five individuals who have experience with cannabis use. They do not represent a bigger population only themselves. We chose these particular individuals because all of them began using cannabis at a young age- everyone before they were twenty. But they have been using cannabis because of different reasons.

De instrument som används för att mäta patienters förväntningar av omvårdnaden finns i olika utformanden men det är få som är utvecklade med inverkan från patienternas egna förväntningar. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva patienters förväntningar av mötet med sjuksköterskan. Sju vetenskapliga studier analyserades med en manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys och resulterade i tre kategorier: Att få en bra relation, Att kunna vara delaktig, Att vilja bli sedd och lyssnad på. Resultatet visade att patienter förväntade sig att etablera en god relation till sjuksköterskan där medbestämmande i den egna omvårdnaden var av stor vikt. Resultatet visade också att patienter ville bli sedda som individer och att sjuksköterskan tog sig tid för att lyssna på dem.

Vi har i vårt arbete studerat hur ART (Aggressive Replacement Training) som metod kan användas ute i skolans värld. Frågan vi ställde oss var: Kan ART användas som resurs i grundskolan och i så fall hur? Arbetet syftar till att belysa och konkretisera ART både som behandlingsmetod för elever med aggressivt beteende samt i förlängningen, integrerat i skolverksamheten som skolämne. I teoridelen beskriver vi ART utifrån litteratur i ämnet, tillvägagångssätt och metodik. I empiridelen har vi intervjuat både elever och pedagoger/tränare ute i verksamheten.

The study's aim is to create an understanding for the question why Sweden in 1921chose to create its own classification system for public libraries instead of adapting e.g.the Dewey-system which - at this time - was internationally we11 spread. It examines thesocial changes which proceeded the creation of the Swedish Library Association (SLA)in 1915 and discusses in depth the work of the committee appointed by SLA to createthe classification system. Special interest is also given to the relation between SLACSand the Dewey-system.The study shows that the main influence on the codttee's work was the formerSwedish tradition of classification practice. Många barn tillbringar en stor del av sin tid på fritidshem tillsammans med en eller flera fritidspedagoger. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka vilka kunskaper som fritidspedagoger har om barnens utveckling. Tycker fritidspedagogerna att det ingår i deras roll att följa och bedöma hur barnen utvecklas? Hur använder de dokumentation och andra instrument för att följa denna utveckling? Slutligen avser undersökningen att ta reda på vad fritidspedagogerna gör med den kunskap som de har om barnen. Denna studie är en kvalitativ studie där sju fritidspedagoger, tre kvinnor och fyra män, i Kristianstad kommun har intervjuats.

The scope of this thesis is to examine the acquisition and maintenance of the literature about the killing of Sweden's Prime Minister Olof Palme 1986. This thesis is about Swedish and Serbian teachers and their views on how literature should be taught to students in high school. The twist is that these teachers live in two different European countries, and work under two different educational systems. Three of them work in Stockholm, Sweden and the other three in Belgrade, Serbia. The purpose of this thesis was to find similarities and differences in the practice of teaching literature among teachers in these two different educational systems. The teachers were interviewed separately and spoke freely about their views and methods when teaching literature.

This is a qualitative study based on interviews with professionals who are cooperating at a children advocacy center, in swedish called ?Barnahus?. The center, Barnahus, pulls together law enforcement, criminal justice, child protective service, medical and mental health workers in to one coordinated team. Children suspected to be victims of any kind of violence or sexual abuse shall, at Barnahus, be offered coordinated efforts and support all the way from suspicion to possible intervention. The aim of the study is to examine how the participants involved relate to collaboration in Barnahus. The study will also present the success factors and barriers to collaboration that identifies by the participating actors, who are mentioned above.The study will provide insight and understanding of how collaboration can be represented in multiprofessional activities in practice..

Sweden has a long and extensive wind band tradition. Today the interest for the traditional instruments is decreasing among children and teenagers. What can this be due to? Which conditions are needed for a functional wind band in the future? The purpose of this essay is to find answers to these questions and at the same time shed light on good examples, where the wind band activity works. To be able to answer the questions have I made four interviews with persons who have a big knowledge and interest about the subject.

This examination paper is a study of the indoor climate in a theatre and a practice room for orchestras placed in Sickla in Stockholm. The designer of the ventilation system wondered if he had managed too make a good environment for the users and he also wondered which of the rooms that had the most desirable climate. The project includes polls for visitors, interviews of people connected to the rooms and measurements of the physical environment. The results show a small dissatisfaction about the thermal indoor climate, it?s a little bit to cold and the air draws.
