I meet in my work as art teacher many students of different descent, were they, or their parents, have different school experience than the Swedish. This, in combination with therecent discussion after the Muhammad caricatures about the banning of images in Islamic religion, made me curious to study what art education in a Muslim country looked like. I went to visit the Maramra Egitim Köyü school in Istanbul, Turkey, and especially their art classesfrom grade five to eight, which are the same age of students that I have been working with thelast ten years. This was my first visit to Turkey.The question I ask is: What does the practice of Turkish art education look like, using the Marmara school as an example. Which discourses can I identify in the art teacher practice? What surprised me the most was the frequent visual exposure of the founder of the Turkishstate, Kemal Atatürk.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and propose improvements to the current procedure for cost estimations of purchased maintenance work at Banverket, the Swedish rail administration. This governmental institution is responsible for the procurement of maintenance services for the country?s railroad network through open tenders. Due to the generally low number of contractors, it is particularly necessary to establish accurate cost estimates in order to assess the offers and ensure that a fair price is being paid to the suppliers. Several flaws associated with the current practice are identified and analyzed according to cost accounting theories.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the legal practice of valuation in arbitration board proceedings concerning freeze-outs after non-cash take-over bids. We find that the most important method for valuing the shares offered in exchange for the shares of a target company is to take the volume-weighted average of the quoted prices of the shares offered in exchange during the acceptance period of the take-over bid. This thesis is a complement to previous studies by Peter Jennergren (1996) and by Andrea Lundqvist and Victor Ludvigsson (2007) of how the Balken case (a freeze-out case that was eventually decided by the Supreme Court of Sweden, in 1996) has affected the legal practice of valuation in freeze-out arbitration board proceedings. We have undertaken an empirical study of 48 freeze-outs between 1985 and 2006 where shares in the bidding companies were offered in exchange for shares in the target companies.

Syftet med denna studie var att ur ett elevperspektiv undersöka hur sång- och instrumentalelever på estetprogrammet med inriktning musik såg på eget lärande och ta reda på vilka mål de hade samt vad som motiverade dem till att öva på sitt instrument. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av tre stycken kvalitativa intervjuer i grupper om tre personer. Intervjupersonerna var i samma ålder men hade olika huvudinstrument och därigenom också skiftande erfarenheter. I bakgrunden valde vi att belysa områdena lärande och musikaliskt lärande, lärarens och elevens ansvar, övning på instrument, motivation samt belysa de styrdokument som kunde kopplas till vårt arbete. Dessa områden ansåg vi vara mest relevanta för att läsaren skulle få en så bred grund som möjligt att stå på samt bli införstådd i området för att sen lätt kunna sätta sig in i arbetet.

The aim of this Bachelor?s thesis is to obtain understanding and knowledge about how literary scholars collaborate regarding information. Seven scholars have been studied in the aim to find out social and cultural elements which create particular prerequisites for their practice, with focus on information sharing. The method used has consisted of semi-structured interviews. The informants have been studied from a socio cultural and domain analysis starting point, which means that they are studied in the light of being members in their practice.

Som ett resultat av utvecklingen av anestesiologisk och kirurgisk teknik (till exempel minimal invasiv kirurgi och standardisering av operationsmetoder) har den postoperativa vårdtiden på sjukhuset minskat. Genom denna effektivisering så minskar kostnaderna och fler patienter kan opereras inom kortare tid i jämförelse mot tidigare.Författarna till den här studien arbetar på en kirurgavdelning där patienter vårdas som bland annat har genomgått kolorektal kirurgi. Uppföljning av patienternas postoperativa återhämtning på avdelningen sker enligt fasta kliniska rutiner genom till exempel kontroll av kroppstemperatur, blodtryck, andning, smärta och magtarmfunktion.

Syfte: Att jämföra mätvärden från tre instrument som används för topografiska mätningar på två olika patientgrupper: en med friska ögon och en med corneala tillstånd. Instrumenten som användes var Javal Schiøtz keratometer, Topcon CA-200 topograf och Bon Sirius Scheimpflugkamera.Material och metod: Tre mätningar med respektive topograf och en mätning med keratometern utfördes på samtliga 27 patienter som deltog i studien och sammanlagt 54 ögon mättes av. Medelåldern på deltagarna med friska ögon (Grupp 1) var 25 år (21-44 år) och på de med corneala tillstånd (Grupp 2) var medelåldern 34,4 år (22-58 år). Krökningsradie, styrka och gradtal på de två huvudmeridianerna mättes med keratometern. Vid mätning med topograferna noterade värden från Sim-k och för 3, 5 och 7mm; dessa värden jämfördes sedan med varandra.

The aim of this study is to explore how sports journalism can include and/or exclude athletics from a national community. This study put emphasis on finding patterns from articles by Swedish sport media on non-ethnic Swedish athletics. The theories central to this study are ethnicity and nationalism, as these concepts contain reflections on why certain groups of people are excluded and/or included. Norman Faircloghs critical discourse analytical model has been selected for the study method that analyzes texts in three levels: the text level, discursive practice and social practice. Four non-ethnic Swedish athletes have been chosen to explore how they were portrayed in the media.

ABSTRACTBackgroundPostpartum depression (PPD) occurs in 10% of women who have recently given birth. Postpartum depression is treatable but unidentified and untreated it could lead to serious consequences. There are multiple instruments for screening available. The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale is the most frequently used and is regarded as the best instrument. AimThe aim of this study was to analyze to what extent and how midwifes and primary care nurses identify mothers with symptoms of depression respectively PPD.

Stress har funnits förekomma i läraryrket. Stress kan samvariera med konflikter i den psykosociala arbetsmiljön. Studiens syfte var därför att undersöka om konflikthanteringsstilar hade något samband med upplevelsen av stress. Ett annat syfte var att undersöka vilken konflikthanteringsstil som var mest och minst förekommande, samt att belysa universitetslärares upplevda stressnivå. Ytterligare syfte var att undersöka om stress och konflikthanteringsstilar hade något samband med kön och ålder.

Scarcity due to supply, demand or in time is all factors that affect consumers´buying behavior. The scarcity principle describes how scarce resources appear moreattractive to the customer's eyes than unlimited does. When something is scar thecustomer often draws parallels to the quality and price, that the product will bemore expensive and better. People hate to be deprived of choices. When a certainproduct is scar, the customer will desire the product even more.

When producing an interview report the researcher is put to the test of describing the qualitative interview method in terms of assumed orderly steps and procedures taken during the interview process, while at the same time account for a very social dynamic process. In practice, even the most carefully prepared scenario for a qualitative interview study probably does not correspond to the expectations made. What happens between the plans and the actual interview itself? This issue is investigated by contrasting the actual engagement of the participants in an interview project to how these relationships are accounted for in Master thesis from the Swedish School of Library- and Information Science in Borås. Theory and methodology from Actor Network Theory (ANT) have been applied into the area of qualitative interviews.

Our purpose with this paper has been to analyse and discuss how motivation of the personnel affects the service quality in service companies. This has been done through two studies; a literature study with existing theories and an empirical study on the divisions of Lyckohjul and Shopping at Liseberg. In the introduction of this paper we put the question of research; why is there a need for work of motivation in service companies. When collecting information we used literature briefing, a questionnaire study and depth interviews. The literature briefing focused on the well-tried and most dominating theories on the subject motivation.

The study aims to describe and analyse the relationship between norm and practice regarding social services casework on honour-related problems. The relationship between norm and practice involves the difference between the way it is intended that social workers shall operate in these cases and how they perceive that this works in practice. We interviewed two focus groups of eight Swedish social workers, four in each group. We also held an individual interview with a social services business developer. Focus group interviews were based on two vignettes; one depicting an honour-related case and the second an "ordinary" case.
