Är det självklart vilka låtar som skall behandlas under musiklektionerna? Är en bra låt alltid en bra låt när det kommer till själva lärandet? Denna uppsats fokuserar och tar upp just detta. Vad tycker och värderar musiklärare som viktigt när de väljer låtar och repertoar för kursen Instrument eller sång på gymnasiet? Detta kopplas sedan samman med Lucy Greens teorier kring det informella och formella lärandet, som till exempel handlar om elevers egna inflytande över musiken och deras egna inflytande över musiklektionernas repertoar.Denna uppsats är främst grundad i kvalitativa metoder. De utvalda lärarnas tankar och idéer är insamlat ifrån en internet - enkät där frågorna var mer eller mindre öppna.

Fältet för användbarhetstestning är fullt av metoder, men av någon anledning är det en väldig brist på studier som jämför metoderna mot varandra och kontrollerar om dessa metoder, som utger sig för att generera samma typ av data, faktiskt är likvärdiga. Denna studie jämförde två användbarhetstestningsmetoder vid namn SUS och PSSUQ. Först jämfördes metodernas metamedelvärde med varandra för att se om det fanns signifikanta skillnader mellan metodernas rådata och sedan utökades analysen till att jämföra metodernas resultat med den normativa mall som respektive metod ger tillgång till. Dessa två olika jämförelser gjordes ett flertal gånger med olika antal försöksdeltagare vid varje iteration.Resultatet av studien visade att inga statistiskt signifikanta skillnader fanns mellan metodernas metavärde (värden transformerade till en skala mellan 0 och 100) och att inga statistiskt signifikanta skillnader hittades mellan dessa två mätinstrument då deras resultat jämfördes mot de normativa mallar som metoderna ger tillgång till, men även om inga statistiskt signifikanta skillnader hittades visar resultatet på en viss skillnad i hur ett system uppfattas beroende på vilken metod som används, vilket innebär att liknande studier borde genomföras..

I mitt examensarbete har jag valt att undersöka de tankar som finns kring vem som spelar vilket instrument. Vilka ord, som har med utseende respektive personlighet att göra, förknippar studerande vid en svensk musikhögskola samt en svensk folkhögskola med de utvalda instrumentalisterna; -klassisk tubaist, fiolspelande folkmusiker, klassisk tvärflöjtist, afrosångaren, afrotrummisen, klassisk pianist? Vilket kön, vilket utseende och vilken personlighet tänker de sig att respektive instrumentalist har? Genom en enkätundersökning har jag försökt ta reda på detta. Jag delade ut enkäter till studerande vid en svensk musikhögskola samt till musikstuderande vid en svensk folkhögskola. Av 201 utdelade enkäter fick jag in 49 svar.

How do we understand these chosen targets and what result the attack accomplished?Research has discussed similarities between aviation warfare and cyber warfare, and how the first could explain what is happening in cyber warfare now. There is also opposing opinions whether cyber warfare should be seen as a method to alone force a will on your opponent or if cyber warfare should mere be supporting other military means.

The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate the participants experiences of a parent support group and the effect of their participation on their parental role from a learning perspective. As the parent support group takes place as a group activity, the focus was on the individual learning processes which, in turn, are influenced by both the group itself as well as the leaders of the group. The empirical data was collected from a focus group interview with four mothers, and analyzed using empowerment and coping theories. Based on the participants´ narratives, the result showed that the parent support group had a great social and pedagogic effect on the participants. As a result of the received knowledge in the group from both leaders as well as from other participants, they felt less stressed and more confident in their parental role.

We have examined how the dependence, identity and social bonds affect customer loyalty and attachment to a training centre. The method used is a survey on SATS Karlstad city where 128 respondents were asked, out of which 118 surveys were used in the final analysis. The data was analyzed using ANCOVA and multiple regressions.The result showed significant relationships on attachment between identity and dependence. Social bonds had no significant effect on the attachment a member have towards training centre. Customer loyalty was measured by how long the individual has been a member and his or her training frequency.

SammanfattningDenna undersökning behandlade en del av kommunikationen mellan ledare ochmedarbetare, avseende utvecklingssamtal på arbetsplatser. Syftet med undersökningenvar att försöka uppmärksamma en av de faktorer som kan ha en inverka på utfallet av ettutvecklingssamtal, denna faktor var possible selves. Tidigare forskning visade på attutvecklingssamtalet spelade en viktig roll i våra arbetsliv och privatliv. Den tidigareforskningen om possible selves uppmärksammade att detta begrepp är komplext ochanvändbart i många olika livssituationer. Vi valde att angripa detta ämne genom enkvalitativ metod där vi använde ett kvalitativt instrument, Possible Selves StatementTest.

AstraZeneca in Mölndal (AZRDM) uses beagles bred at Rååhöjdens kennel in Örkelljunga for their research purposes. The staff wishes to have mentally stable dogs to work with, sine stress can effect the research results. The purpose of this study was to put together the testresults from dogs delivered 2003 and 2004, to see if there is a connection between delivery age and testresult. We have also worked out a method to test if early planned handling of the dogs makes a difference on how the dogs later respond in a testsituation, and tried this method in a pilotstudy. The data that we have based our calculations on is 172 dogs, divided into 108 males and 64 females. We found a significant connection between the age at delivery and the testresult in contactability for female dogs delivered in 2003, where increasing age led to decreasing grades in the test at AZRDM. When looking at the difference in testresults between test number two at the kennel and the test at AZRDM we found a significant connection for female dogs delivered during 2003, ie the difference takes on a more negative value with increasing age at delivery. We found a difference between the two sexes in our calculations.

The aim of this study is to find out in which way the education about climate in school is taught and how the students experience the world situation today. There are various theories about the greenhouse effect and its origin and these theories should be addressed to ensure that students get a broader understanding of how climate change occurs. This includes the natural phenomena and also the human impact on climate change. Students in school are a source of concern that only human are the cause of global warming, and know little or almost nothing about the natural phenomena of global warming.  I will mention what has emphasized in the national steering documents in the case of environmental education at school.I have used a qualitative method, where interviews and document analysis were used as techniques. The interviews took place with five students in ninth grade and with three science teachers in the same school..

Syftet med denna studie var att ur ett elevperspektiv undersöka hur sång- och instrumentalelever på estetprogrammet med inriktning musik såg på eget lärande och ta reda på vilka mål de hade samt vad som motiverade dem till att öva på sitt instrument. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av tre stycken kvalitativa intervjuer i grupper om tre personer. Intervjupersonerna var i samma ålder men hade olika huvudinstrument och därigenom också skiftande erfarenheter. I bakgrunden valde vi att belysa områdena lärande och musikaliskt lärande, lärarens och elevens ansvar, övning på instrument, motivation samt belysa de styrdokument som kunde kopplas till vårt arbete. Dessa områden ansåg vi vara mest relevanta för att läsaren skulle få en så bred grund som möjligt att stå på samt bli införstådd i området för att sen lätt kunna sätta sig in i arbetet.

Postoperativ återhämtning är en viktig del när patienten genomgår ett kirurgiskt ingrepp. Efter operation vårdas patienten för rehabilitering samt för observation och behandling av eventuella anestesiologiska och/eller kirurgiska komplikationer. Som ett resultat av utvecklingen av anestesiologisk och kirurgisk teknik (till exempel minimal invasiv kirurgi och standardisering av operationsmetoder) har den postoperativa vårdtiden på sjukhuset minskat. Genom denna effektivisering så minskar kostnaderna och fler patienter kan opereras inom kortare tid i jämförelse mot tidigare.Författarna till den här studien arbetar på en kirurgavdelning där patienter vårdas som bland annat har genomgått kolorektal kirurgi. Uppföljning av patienternas postoperativa återhämtning på avdelningen sker enligt fasta kliniska rutiner genom till exempel kontroll av kroppstemperatur, blodtryck, andning, smärta och magtarmfunktion.

This paper aims to broaden the discussion on how press freedom can be a powerful tool in the war on corruption. Previous studies have shown a significant relationship between more press freedom and less corruption, it also shows that the causal link runs from press freedom to corruption and not the other way around. There are quite a few studies on the impact of a free press on corruption and therefore there is a lot more to be published on this issue.This paper looks at press freedom as one of the most important parts of a democratic society and that it plays a vital role in reducing corruption as both an informant on key issues and also as a ?watchdog? on society. But press freedom cannot be seen as an ?easy fix? in a country or the international community's struggle to reduce corruption.

This thesis studies the stock price reaction around 68 announcements of special dividends and share redemptions on the Swedish stock market between the years of 2003 and 2007. We show that for the Swedish private investor, the tax effect of a share redemption is lower than that of a special dividend. Moreover, a share redemption could be interpreted as a signal of undervaluation. These two factors lead us to assume that the stock market would react more positively in connection to the announcement of a share redemption. We test this hypothesis through an analysis of the risk-adjusted abnormal return for the observations in the sample.

Recent accounting scandals, often led by managers trying to improve results and thereby their own bonuses, have severely damaged the publics view of management. In the aftermath of scandals such as Enron, Parmalat and Skandia, demand has increased for Corporate Governance codes and similar regulation. The Swedish code for Corporate Governance came into effect on July 1, 2005. The code requires all Swedish companies listed on the Swedish Stock Exchange (OMX A- and O-list), with a turnover exceeding 3 billion SEK, to disclose a report regarding Corporate Governance, attached to the annual report.The purpose of this paper is to examine whether the new disclosure required by the Swedish Corporate Governance code will have a measurable effect on stock prices. The authors have applied event study methodology examining daily returns around the announcement of the Corporate Governance reports.
