This degree project has been carried out in cooperation with Gedevelop in Helsingborg.Gedevelop has developed a camera that can calculate the weight of a liquid glass mass.Because of the density and viscosity changes in the glass, the weight information issometimes incorrect given. Glass industry is today addressing the problem by an operatorperforming a manual weighing of a few bottles which, in turn, calibrates the camera system.The project aimed to develop an automated system to control the weighing of glass bottles forglass industries. This system must be so flexible that it can be easily mounted on plants withdifferent production equipment around the world.The project includes design and construction of equipment that meets the requirementsformulated together with Gedevelop. Work has been done both in Halmstad and Helsingborgand has included both calculations and review of the theory to understand the forces thatinfluence the design of different construction parts. A prototype was produced that meets theoperating requirements for the design and can be used in testing features.

This report is about the current outdoor environment in the housing area Brunnsbacken in the city of Eskilstuna. The report examines the various factors in the outdoor environment that can affect the physical and psychic well being of the elderly people through availability and inclusion. The research methods that are affected are qualitative and has been implemented in order to give insight and knowledge about the way elderly people view the outdoor stay in their neighborhood, but also through analysis produce an informed design suggestion..

En institutionell placerare har både en förvaltar- och en ägarroll. Som förvaltare försöker institutionen maximera avkastningen i förhållande till ett visst risktagande. Eftersom institutionen har rösträtt för de förvaltade aktierna ? och därmed det inflytande som följer med aktierna ? har institutionen också en ägarroll. The mission was to create a prototype of a menu system for the companySystem Andersson AB. The instructions were that it has to be as interesting andmodern now as in 20 years. We had to look at technology from the cutting edgeof development to make our prototype survive in the future. WindowsPresentation Foundation (WPF) was the technique we focused on. There areonly a few applications that take advantage of WPF today, but it is predictedthat WPF will be the next generation method for developing applications to theWindows platform.To make our menu visually appealing, easy to use and at the same timefunctional, we followed the clear path and guidelines that are available ininteraction design.

Det finns idag behov till en undervisningsform som på ett roligt och enkelt sätt engagerar studenter till att lära sig om design. Studenter är olika och behöver olika undervisningsformer.Problemet löses via ett brädspel som är kunskapsgivande vilket får studenter engagerade. Under tio veckor har jag arbetat med ett testbrädspel för designstudenter som ett komplement till designundervisningen. Jag har intervjuat folk om design och skaffat mig kunskaper om hur en yrkesverksam designers tillvaro kan se ut. Tester av spelet har ägts rum för att se om det är underhållande och hjälp har tagits av yrkesverksamma brädspelsutvecklare och lärare för speldesign.Resultatet blev ett koncept till ett brädspel där det går att rulla ihop planen i en papperscylinder eller vika planen till en låda för att lösa förpackningsproblemet.

Uppdraget som gavs av Brimer VA Produktion AB i Osby var att ?föra fram deras nya vattenledningssystem i ljuset?, göra en FEM-beräkning på en detalj i systemet och ta fram en ekonomisk samt teknisk jämförelse mot det traditionella vattenledningssystemet. Bästa lösningen på uppgiften var att visualisera vattenledningssystemet med hjälp av animerade filmer. This Bachelor Thesis in the area of Computer Science and Work Science describes the process of design and development of an IT-tool between the municipality of Ron-neby and TietoEnator a development and consultancy firm, the Gothenburg office. The thesis focuses mainly on the cooperation between the consultant designer and the local municipal. Through cooperation, the organisation is incorporated into the tool and the tool is incorporated into the organisation. Concepts that are central in this thesis are design, cooperation and tailoring. A question raised is, if distance work and extensive cooperation might be a good way of working in the process of design and development, when the organisation is being incorporated into the tool. Advan-tages and disadvantages of this way of working are discussed. Our studies show that distance work is a good complement for personal meet-ings between designer and co-developer.

Också i Sverige, och vidStockholms universitet, verkar kvinnor ?läcka ur systemet?; trots att kvinnor idaggenerellt har bättre universitetsbetyg än män, är andelen kvinnor som fortsätter attstudera på högre nivåer fortfarande låg.Stockholms universitet har jämställdhet som ett av sina grundläggande mål, ochsociologiska institutionen är en av de institutioner som har störst andel kvinnligastudenter. 80 procent av studenterna och drygt hälften av doktoranderna är kvinnor.Under perioden 1995 till 2008 var dessutom 58 % av de som disputerade kvinnor.Fortfarande dominerar män bland lektorer och professorer på institutionen och desenaste åren har endast en kvinna rekryterats till en utlyst tjänst.

In the report we have investigated four high-rise buildings with the intentions to find out witch parts are prefabricated and what relation can be found between structural design, prefabrication and the logistics. After the investigation we noticed that the grad of prefabrication in each one of the projects is good in relation to what purpose the building have and the given background. During the report we found that layout ? structural design ? prefabrication ? logistics is an order that we think can make the production of the building more effective if followed. We believe that the prefabrication of high-rise buildings have potential to grow and get more optimized in the future..

The purpose of this study was to examine how the design of the wards, at Björnkulla nursing home, affects the residents? wayfinding ability and autonomy. Thus, the aim has been to make a design proposal that, trough color and design can increase the residents? chance to independent mobility. Since the study aimed to examine how the environment affect and can support people with dementia, qualitative methods were used.

SAMANFATTNINGBakgrund: Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva vad sjuksköterskor uppfattar och fokuserar på i information till patienter vid utskrivning från kirurgisk vårdavdelning.Metoden: Kvalitativ deskriptiv design med fenomenografisk ansats. Nio sjuksköterskor intervjuades för att undersöka hur de uppfattar och beskriver utskrivningssamtal med patienter från en kirurgisk vårdavdelning.   Resultat: Resultatet visar vad sjuksköterskor uppfattar och fokuserar på i information till patienter vid utskrivning och omfattar tre beskrivningskategorier: På ronden har sjuksköterskorna fokus på läkarens information till patienten, sjuksköterskorna informerar och undervisar patienter vid utskrivning samt rutiner och struktur vid utskrivning av patienter beskriver sjuksköterskorna som bristfälligt.Slutsats: Studien visar att sjuksköterskor ser sin roll i utskrivningssamtalet från kirurgisk vårdavdelning som en informationslänk mellan läkare och patient.  För att uppnå utbildningsinsatser inom detta område vore utbildning inom samtalsmetodik användbart, då kommunikation är en viktig del i planering vid utskrivning.
