Projektet Àr en designpedagogisk undersökning som genomförts pÄ ett rehabiliteringscenter pÄ södra Gotland. I projektet har designpedagogen verkat och integrerat tillsammans med ungdomar, socionomer och psykologer pÄ en akut- och utredningsenhet, fyra veckor under hösten 2011. Undersökningen har utgÄtt frÄn frÄgestÀllningen: Hur kan man arbeta med ett designpedagogiskt projekt i en behandlingsmiljö för ungdomar? FrÄgestÀllningen undersöks och redovisas med hjÀlp av tvÄ olika pedagogiska verktyg, dels genom skriftlig form, dels genom en gestaltning pÄ Konstfack vecka tvÄ 2012, dÀr bÄda delarna integrerat kommunicerar undersökningens innehÄll.Projektet Àr ett kvalitativt forskningsprojekt dÀr etnografiinspirerade metoder anvÀnds för att analysera och skapa nya kunskaper utifrÄn ungdomarnas berÀttelser och aktiviteter, samtidigt som undersökningen betraktar sÀttet designpedagogen och informanterna lÀr och utbyter erfarenheter med varandra utifrÄn socialkonstruktivism och sociokulturell teori. Studiens syfte handlar om att undersöka det estetiska skapandets potential utifrÄn informanternas behov pÄ rehabiliteringsinstitutionen.

The purpose of this essay was to examine the packaging designÂŽs communications related to the colloquially brand's symbolic capital and how they became meaningful through experience and perceptions that led to the identification processes in the consumer society. There were eight interviews of snuff users who became my main collections materials. My theoretical framework was discourse psychologyÂŽs emphasis on language and BourdieuÂŽs concept provided important tools in the analysis of the material.I could highlight that packaging design and the brand had influenced the informants and given them symbolic beliefs and what it meant to sniff a certain brand. Color, brand awareness and price were crucial in choosing where the informants attributed themselves the cans symbolic values to their identity. It could be inferred high and low status perceptions based on stereotypes in the design itself..

Bakgrund Palliativ vÄrd beskrivs ha sitt ursprung frÄn hospicerörelsen. Palliativ vÄrd Àr ett förhÄllningssÀtt med syftet att förbÀttra livskvaliteten och anpassa vÄrden till varje individs behov.Syfte Syftet med studien var att beskriva betydelsen av sjuksköterskors erfarenhet av palliativ omvÄrdnad.Metod Studien hade en beskrivande design och metoden var en systematisk litteraturstudie. Sökningar efter artiklar genomfördes i databaserna CINAHL, Medline, Amed och PsycINFO. Totalt anvÀndes nio artiklar till litteraturstudien. Analysen var inspirerad av en innehÄllsanalys.Resultat Kategorierna i resultatet var: Vikten av en god kommunikation, betydelsen av samverkan med patienten och familjen samt sjuksköterskan inom palliativ vÄrd.

Company X develops a laboratory information system (LIS) called System Y. The informationsystem has a two-tier database architecture consisting of a production database and a historicaldatabase. A database constitutes the backbone of a IS, which makes the design of the databasevery important. A poorly designed database can cause major problems within an organization.The two databases in System Y are poorly modeled, particularly the historical database. Thecause of the poor modeling was unclear concepts.

Employers are becoming more and more aware of that the internal communication between employees is the reason why organizations are being held alive and also what impact the office environment has on employees work performances and their communication. The aim of our study was to gain an understanding of what significance an office's spatial design has for the communication between employees and managers in the workplace. We have through qualitative interviews with managers and employees from different business cases gotten a perception of their ways of communicating with each other. The results showed that employees and leaders thought that they shared the same picture of what their communication was like in reality, how they thought their ways of marking their territory in the office was understood and respected and what their opinions and expectations of how the communication between them and their leaders should be like. These results were then analyzed in consideration with relevant theory and previous research in the disciplines of office environment and communication studies.The main conclusions that have been drawn from the analysis are that the work environment's design can be both positive and negative at the same time and that what should be focused on is the leaders' communication. The leaders and their employees have to communicate more about their communication between them so thart misunderstandings can be avoided in the office environment - and therefore become more effective..

This Bachelor Thesis in the area of Computer Science and Work Science describes the process of design and development of an IT-tool between the municipality of Ron-neby and TietoEnator a development and consultancy firm, the Gothenburg office. The thesis focuses mainly on the cooperation between the consultant designer and the local municipal. Through cooperation, the organisation is incorporated into the tool and the tool is incorporated into the organisation. Concepts that are central in this thesis are design, cooperation and tailoring. A question raised is, if distance work and extensive cooperation might be a good way of working in the process of design and development, when the organisation is being incorporated into the tool.

Syftet med studien Àr att undersöka vad som upplevs som förutsÀttningarna för intern kommunikation uppÄt i en organisation, frÄn medarbetare till nÀrmsta chef, samt pÄ vilka olika sÀtt medarbetarna sjÀlva kommunicerar med sin chef.  I studien söks svaren pÄ frÄgestÀllningarna; Hur ser förutsÀttningarna ut för kommunikation frÄn medarbetare till chef? This report presents thesis of Liisa Kokkonen in collaboration with Muovikilpi Oy.The project?s goal is to find a new construction for an existing lamp made of acrylic. Form and design retains and the manufacturing occurs at Muovikilpi Oy. The project contains the new construction and manufacturing of the lamp and also a proposition for a set with floor and wall lamp.  The paper gives an outline of acrylic as material and how it reacts with light.

This is a thesis on information design with a focus on text design. The purpose of this study is to gather knowledge about how information on the Easy-to-Read website, of the police, should be composed so that immigrants more easily will be able to read and understand the content. The goal of the study is to present a design proposal based on the knowledge that has been found through principles for readability, theoretical perspectives and literature, together with methods; readability analysis and interviews. The interviews were performed individually with the coordinator at polisen.se as well as four students from SFI (Swedish for immigrants). The study showed that the content on the website of the police is not adequately adapted to the needs of the target group. It also exhibited that the website's disposition is unclear, and that complicated terms are not explained.

In the increasing urban environments and the modern societies demands for sustainability there is a challange in planning cities with a balance between density and a satisfying access of recreational environments. For attractive cities these environments need to be designed to fit every inhabitants? demands and opinions in some way. Increased knowledge and understanding is therefore needed about how different design styles in landscape architecture affect people and the cities. In this bachelor thesis benefits and disadvantages as well as the experience and impact of two fundamental design styles i discussed; naturalistic and formal/abstract design.
