PURPOSE: By analysing collected data using theory, we aim to interpret the design, implementation and the usage of BSC in NPO?s to be able to contribute to the research. METHODOLOGY: A case study design has been made through semi-structured interviews and backed up by a quantitative survey and internal documents. THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES: Based on the sources given from the creators of the scorecard together with some sceptics and some followers, we have outlined the bases of balanced scorecard. When constructing a building, a number of aspects must be harmonized in order for it to fulfill requirements ? a building must fulfill requirements such a load-bearing, conservation of energy and a good indoor environment by means of, among other things, moisture proofing .Moisture problems in buildings can affect health negatively. As we are increasingly staying in indoors, demands on a good indoor environment are higher.This work starts with examining moisture problems in slab-on-ground solutions, and then links the various scenarios to moisture problems in a concrete slab of a real building. The building with moisture problems is located in Årby by in Borlänge and moisture damage was found in the slab at an apartment adjoining wall.By reviewing literature written within the field of moisture problem, making hand calculations and modeling in the program Comsol Multiphysics, judgments are made to find explanations as to why the rise of moisture occurred in the building in Årby by.Generally, the following guidelines may be used to reduce the risk of moisture problems in slab-on-ground constructions:Drying of construction moisture before laying the floor material.Using draining layer beneath the slab, to prevent capillary suction.Using insulation under the slab, partly for comfort and to establish the temperature difference between the ground and the concrete slab.Avoid direct contact between the wood and concrete, due to degradation and fouling smells that normally occurs.If necessary, use additional vapor barrier.In addition to the above, there are various methods for moisture-proof and moisture-monitoring by design or by the method ByggaF suited for the entire construction process various events..

Our Bachelor´s Thesis has been performed in co-operation with Bors Automation & Tool AB.Our task was to develop a servomotor powered tube cutting-machine with initial point fromtoday's hydraulic driven tube cutting machine Bors HYD 23. The characteristic of services as an effort carried out in a "moment of truth" implies a risk for failures. This study sheds new light on how alternative offerings that customers are initially exposed to can affect satisfaction and loyalty in the service failure and recovery context. More specifically, two aspects of the initial offering are studied: promised general service quality and the presence of a promise about a specific product attribute. Based on a presentation of the main theoretical perspectives, hypotheses are formulated and a scenario-based experiment in a hotel setting is designed to explore these. The results indicate that a higher level of promised service quality can result in more positive evaluations of satisfaction and stronger word-of-mouth intentions than for a lower level of promised service quality.

According to the European Union waste hierarchy, waste should first of all be minimized. Reuse and material and energy recycling come next. Lastly the waste should be thrown at the refuse tip. The purpose of this study was to examine the process of developing an identity as a skateboarder during adolescence. Our aim was to, from the actors? point of view explore what impact their values, experiences and thoughts have on their identity as individuals as well as a collectivity. We also investigated which symbols that are significant for this group. For this essay a qualitative method was used; we conducted nine individual interviews and one group interview with young skaters from the ages of 15-17.

Detta examensarbetet undersöker möjligheten att eliminera de amplitudtoppar som uppstår då flera sinussignaler av slumpmässiga frekvenser adderas. Det som eftersträvas är en signal innehållande flera godtyckliga frekvenser samtidigt som den bibehåller en låg Crestfaktor (eller PAPR). De metoder som tas fram implementeras sedan i en FPGA. Rapporten behandlar de metoder som undersökts både i teoretiska utvärderingar samt i en hårdvaruimplementation. Resultaten visar på att det inte finns någon enkel lösning på problemet, men att en kombination av metoder kan användas för att få en förbättring av signalens Crestfaktor.

Krisberedskapen har i det svenska samhället förändrats över tid från fokus på invasion till fokus på krishantering. Detta har också bidragit till att samhället är beroende av frivilliga som hjälper till i samhällets krisberedskap. Detta examensarbete syftade till att undersöka vad det är som motiverar dagens frivilliga att engagera sig i frivilligorganisationer, men också varför dessa väljer att stanna kvar och delta aktivt i organisationens verksamheter. Vidare att tillhandahålla frivilligorganisationer inom svensk krisberedskap ett verktyg för att rekrytera nya, och motivera befintliga, medlemmar. Efter initial kontakt med respektive frivilligorganisation (Frivilliga resursgruppen, Svenska blå stjärnan och Svenska sjöräddningssällskapet) genomfördes 24 telefonintervjuer inkluderande 35 frågor.

Pheromones are chemical substances representing very specific signal messages within a species. Although a lot remains unknown about their precise effects, it is known that pheromones influence the behaviour of the receiver. Since the mid 1990s, when it was first possible to synthesise analogues of two fractions of feline facial pheromone, F3 (Feliway®) and F4 (Felifriend®), these have been used in so called pheromonotherapy to treat behavioural problems in cats. The initial use of pheromones for specific behavioural problems has been extended to cover the wide field of stress related issues. This studycontains a questionnaire where veterinary nurses and surgeons at 50 Swedish veterinary hospitals and clinics were asked about their use of synthetic analogues to feline facial pheromones in the care and treatment of cats.

Background: Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus is a chronical disease that often occurs early in life. In 2005 around 7000 children in Sweden was estimated with type 1 diabetes. When a child gets a chronical disease it affects the whole family. The parents will be the ones who take the main responsible for the child´s care. Purpose: The aim of this literature review was to describe the parents experiences of living with a child with type 1 diabetes.

The purpose of this paper is to perform an in-depth analysis on how the events that took place in Skandia AB during the end of the 1990s have been portrayed in media, and how this has affected the general debate concerning bonuses and incentive plans. The paper studies relevant newspaper articles published in Sweden?s largest business newspaper, Dagens Industri (DI), over a period ranging from 2002 to 2008. The major findings of this paper include that bonuses are widely used as incentives in Swedish companies and that the issue of bonuses as an incentive form has lead to a prevalent debate. Furthermore, the questionable events that took place in Skandia AB during the end of 1990s have affected the general debate concerning bonuses.

Inledning: Internt upparbetade immateriella tillgångar har fått en alltmer betydande roll för värdeskapandet i dagens företag. Trots detta tillåter inte IAS 38 Immateriella tillgångar att dessa erkänns i balansräkningen. Författarna till Initial Accounting for Internally Generated Intangible Assets (IAIGIA) anser att detta medför att ett företags verkliga värde inte avspeglas i dess redovisning, och föreslår därför att en reformering av nuvarande standard bör genomföras.Syftet med denna uppsats är att jämföra förslagen i IAIGIA med IAS 38 för att konkretisera vilka skillnader i regleringen ett eventuellt införande av IAIGIA skulle medföra. Dessutom förs en diskussion om dessa förslag i ljuset av den aktuella debatten på ämnet. Uppsatsens huvudfråga formuleras som följer: Vilken är skillnaden mellan IAS 38 och Initial Accounting for Internally Generated Intangible Assets? Sekundärt ställs frågor om IAIGIA:s styrkor och svagheter, om förslaget utgör en tillfredsställande lösning på erkännandeproblematiken samt om det finns några andra lösningsförslag.Metod: Med utgångspunkt i en kvalitativ metodansats har de båda skrifterna IAIGIA och IAS 38 granskats samt jämförts, och utmärkande skillnader har tagits fram.

Rotavirus and coronavirus are the two most common viral causes of neonatal calf diarrhea and their presence causes a lot of economic damage to the farmers as well as suffering to the animal. By getting better knowledge about the viruses we may help in tracing transmission and in producing new vaccines. This paper served to study the molecular epidemiology of rotavirus and coronavirus in fecal samples collected from two different farms in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. These samples have been studied with focus on the gene VP4, VP7, NSP4 in rotavirus and the gene S1 in coronavirus. From the first farm the screening PCR showed that 12/48 samples were positive for rotavirus and 4/48 positive for coronavirus.
