Denna rapport har haft som uppgift att studera hur organisationer ska gå tillväga för att utvinna och värdera kunskap ifrån sitt befintliga informationssystem. Detta är en mycket viktig process då kunskap har blivit en av de absolut viktigaste resurserna för organisationer över hela världen. Utvinningen är viktig att effektivisera så att inte organisationer förlorar viktig kunskap när de avvecklar sitt gamla informationssystem för att bygga ett nytt och bättre system. Samtidigt är det viktigt att värdera ifall den utvunna kunskapen är relevant för organisationen. Ifall den inte är relevant så ska den inte sparas utan kasseras för att öka effektiviteten. För att undersöka detta problem så har en kvalitativ fallstudie genomförts hos ett medelstort företag som heter Colorex Sweden AB.

The development of IT systems is usually accomplished by some form of system development methodology. It can be performed as the waterfall method, where each phase is completed before the next begins. One of the reasons to follow a development methodology is that the process is more structured, faster and that the product will have higher quality. One risk of not using a system development approach is that the code can be unstructured and difficult to maintain.This paper describes an alternative method in which the development occurred without the use of any system development methodology. This has been possible because there was a clear goal of the program that should be developed.

Mobila informationssystem ställer höga krav på användarkontext då det kontinuerligt förändrar sig och därmed även styr systemets användarkrav. Dessa krav sätts under ytterligare press då det mobila informationssystemet tillämpas inom mobila verksamheter vars arbetsuppgifter är av kritisk karaktär, till exempel inom kårverksamheter. För att realisera en lyckad tillämpning av mobila informationssystem inom mobila verksamheter vars arbete är av kritisk karaktär är det viktigt att undersöka vilka kritiska faktorer som ska ligga till grund för systemet med avseende på dess användbarhet. En orsak till varför en sådan undersökning är viktig är på grund av att mobila informationssystem ofta designas efter stationära principer och designriktlinjer vilket är olyckligt då användarkraven skiljer sig markant mellan mobila och stationära system. För att ta reda på dessa kritiska användarkrav har en enkätundersökning genomförts inom den kommunala räddningstjänsten i Skövde.

Scania CV is one of the world's largest truck manufacturer. It is not only the directproduction of vehicles and methods that are important for Scania but also the servicemarket handling spare parts, repairs and workshops. The department Vehicle ServiceInformation construct standard times through work measurement for particularworks in the workshops. The software application STAM is used in the servicemarket to create and store standard times which then are exported to theworkshops' own systems.The purpose of this master thesis is to analyse and evaluate the internal workmeasurement system that includes standard times and the software STAM. Also,based on external analysis and benchmarking of other systems suggest appropriatefuture development within the area for Scania Vehicle Service Information.In order to perform the investigation, interviews and studies have been doneinternally at the departments that are involved in work measurement as well asexternally at Scania workshops.

This report is about the impact climate change has on the water and sewage systems in general, and the situation in the municipality of Karlstad in particular. Which vulnerabilities are linked to water and sewage systems with regard to climate change and extreme weather situations, what are the possibilities to adapt the system to this and what significance does climate adaptation of the water and sewage systems have in relation to sustainable development?To answer these questions I have studied literature on the subject and interviewed several people who work with these types of questions. The answers I have received state that there are a multitude of vulnerabilities linked to the water- and sewage systems, but that there are also many strong interests which strive to take measures and adapt to a changed climate. I have also come to the conclusion that the starting points and views of the possibilities to act differs between the people that I have interviewed, but that theses problems are built into the concept of democracy..

Det är viktigt att ett företags informationssystem utför och uppfyller det företaget önskar. För att säkerställa detta krävs utvärdering av informationssystem. Problemet för företag är då att avgöra vilken utvärderingsmetod som är mest lämplig att använda för just den aktuella utvärderingssituationen.Denna studie syftar till att undersöka vilka faktorer som beaktas när val av utvärderingsmetod skall göras. För att besvara rapportens problemfomulering genomfördes en litteraturstudie där en lista med faktorer togs fram som ansågs viktiga att beakta vid metodval. Det genomfördes även en fallstudie för att utifrån ett verkligt fall kunna jämföra teori mot hur metodval för informationssystemsutvärdering ser ut i praktiken.

The impact of computer programs in safety-critical systems has increased in the past decades and computer-based systems can now be found in a wide range of applications. A new approach for developing dependable systems is documenting all design rationale that affects safety using Intent Specifications. A recent approach for developing complex systems efficiently and in an upgradeable manner is Component-Based System Engineering. In this thesis, these approaches are combined in the development and upgrade of a Remote Robot Control Unit by using the tool SpecTRM. The case study showed that Intent Specifications and CBSE could successfully be combined.

Real-time systems are required to answer to external stimuli within a specified time-period. For this to be possible, the systems behaviour must be predictable. The use of active databases in real-time systems introduces unpredictability in the system, e.g. due to their use of active rules. The behaviour in active databases is usually specified in ECA-rules.

Allt för ofta händer det att systemutvecklingsprojekt misslyckas. Ofta beror dessa misslyckanden på att systemutvecklingsprocessens tidiga faser utförs bristfälligt. Genom att ta tillvara och återanvända information som uppkommit under tidigare utförda informationssystemutvecklingsprojekt, ökas chansen att nästa informationssystemutvecklingsprocess får ett bra resultat. En kravspecifikation som endast innehåller krav som måste uppfyllas av alla informationssystem inom en specifik domän, går att tillämpa vid all informationssystemsutveckling inom denna specifika domän. För att denna kravspecifikation skall kunna användas på detta vis, krävs det att uppdateringar sker i denna allt eftersom aktuell domän förändras.

Today's high oil prices and more stringent environmental requirements have led to that manufacturers of mobile construction equipment try to make their products more energy efficient. With this in mind a project about hybridization of hydraulic systems has been formed. The purpose of this project was to analyze the savings that can be achieved by hybridization of hydraulic systems. A reach stacker truck (Kalmar DRD450-80S4XS) were simulated in some load cases with conventional hydraulic systems and with three types of hybridized hydraulic systems. Different parts of the hydraulic systems were also analyzed separately.
