About 29 000 different services was given by the Swedish welfare state to children with disabilities within the ages 0-22 years before October first in the year 2008. Studies about children with disabilities and their experiences of their situation have rarely been done and it is therefore difficult to know how they think and feel about their lives. Both Swedish law and the UN:s convention about children?s rights states that children have the right to tell their opinion in matters that are of their concern. Thus, we don´t know much about if and how the Swedish welfare state maintain this right towards children with disabilities.

Reservdelsinköparna på avdelningen Support & Services på Saab är utspridda på sex orter i Sverige med skilda verksamheter och affärer. Dessa skillnader påverkar de logistiska beslut som tas och ökar svårigheten att använda en gemensam lagerstyrningsstrategi. I Tannefors, vilket är den ort som har tydligast uttalad lagerstyrningsstrategi, grundar sig de största lagerstyrningsproblemen i att systemstödet som används vid den dagliga planeringen inte är användarvänligt. På de mindre orterna där Saabs inköpsverksamhet inte bedrivits lika länge består problemen till stor del av att en uttalad lagerstyrningsstrategi saknas vilket leder till brister i planering, ett kortsiktigt tankesätt och brådskande expressbeställningar. För att möta dessa utmaningar har denna studie utformat en gemensam lagerstyrningsstrategi för de två största inköpsorterna, Tannefors och Nyköping, vilka kan ligga till grund för att kunna utöka strategin till alla Support & Services inköpsorter.Lagerstyrningsstrategin utformades genom att först genomföra en dubbel ABC-klassificering av alla artiklar och sedan gruppera ihop de klasser som kan styras likartat samt bestämma en önskad servicenivå för respektive grupp.

The purpose of this Master's thesis was to examine how and what trainee teachers are being taught about information seeking and school libraries related to problem-based teaching method in compulsory school. The questions at issue were: How have trainee teachers learned about information seeking? How have trainee teachers learned about using school libraries? We also wanted to know which education they have got in information seeking and school libraries. We examined this through both literature and empirical studies. We used a qualitative method in order to answer the questions at issue.

Hjärtinfarkt leder årligen till att många mister sitt liv runt om i världen. Vilka riskfaktorer som finns för att drabbas av en hjärtinfarkt och vad en hjärtinfarkt innebär är viktig information. Symtom och behandlingar som är kopplade till hjärtinfarkt är viktigt att sjuksköterskan ändå informera patienterna om samt vilka rutiner som finns och kunna skapa en bra vårdrelation. Om sjuksköterskan har kunskap om vilka informationsbehov patienterna har kan detta leda till att patienterna upplever trygghet och känner sig delaktiga i sin vård. Syftet med detta arbeta är att belysa vad patienterna önskar för information vid en hjärtinfarkt.

Asthma is the most common chronic illness in children. Re-admissions to hospital are common and asthma has a significant impact on children and their families. The purpose of this study was to describe the outcome of the nurses? information and education handed to the family. The result of this literature study was based on 14 scientific articles which evaluated the families? knowledge and the illness? impact on daily life after different ways of asthma information and education.

The aim of my ?two years master thesis? was to examine school administrators perceptions about important information literacy skills that the students should be able to control, perceptions about what role the teachers and the librarians have in teaching students information literacy and perceptions about the collaboration between these groups. My questions have been: Have the school administrators reflected upon the conception of information literacy? What conceptions do school administrators have about important information literacy skills that the students should be able to control? What role do they consider the teachers and the librarians to have in making all students information literate? How do they consider the collaboration between the teachers and the librarians work? What role do they consider themselves to have on a management level to make all students? information literate? I used a phenomenographical method and carried out six qualitative interviews with school administrators from five senior high schools in the municipality of Gävle. Both public schools and independent schools were included in the study. Most of the school administrators considered information literacy to be the same as criticism of sources, which they also considered as one of the most important information literacy skills.

ABSTRACT Poverty, and in particular child poverty, is a serious social problem. Statistics show that the number of children living in poverty has increased over the last ten years. Earlier research shows that there are huge gaps in our knowledge of how the actors in civil society handle child poverty. With this study we hope to help fill this gap. The aim of our study is to look at how four different organisations working in the civil society in Uppsala perceive and handle child poverty.

The purpose of this study is to examine the information seeking behaviour among unestablished archaeologists. Special attention has been directed to the areas of informal communication and the development of personal networks. As a former archaeology student I have been able to apply my previously acquired knowledge when writing this thesis. The empirical study is based on nine interviews with archaeologists each with more than one and less than four years of professional experience. They all have various experience of working as a fieldarchaeologist and five have simultaneously worked as university researchers.

The purpose of this study was to examine how some children with reading problems experience and use libraries. The main problem was: How do dyslectic children experience and use libraries and how do they handle their reading difficulties when using libraries? The questions at issue were: 1. Do children with reading problems use libraries, and if so how? - in which purposes do they use libraries? - which materials and services do they use? - why dont some children use libraries? 2.

This thesis deals with one of the main questions within information science: The question about controlled and uncontrolled vocabulary and which of the two that are most effective when it comes to retrieve relevant information from electronic databases. The method used here is literature studies. I have described and examined five empirical studies which has been done in purpose to compare the effectiveness in retrieval with controlled and uncontrolled vocabulary, in the way they are used in retrieval of information in databases. The studies I have examined have also used recall and precision as a value to measure the effectiveness of retrieval. The studies which I have chosen is also limited to deal only with studies that have been done in bibliographic databases.

The purpose of this study is to examine how adult students, studying at an upper secondary school for adults, search for information for their independent tasks in different subjects. These independent tasks are frequent in most subjects and are a part of the ?investigation-work?. For most adult students this is a new way of learning. Fifteen qualitative interviews with adult students have been conducted.

Denna studie observerade 30 inspelade polisintervjuer och undersökte om informationsmängden och informationstypen som brottsoffer och misstänkta lämnade under en polisintervju påverkades av intervjustilen. Underliggande variabler som konstituerar humanitet respektive dominans, respekt respektive ångest undersöktes. Oberoende t-test visade att brottsoffer i jämförelse med misstänkta dels lämnade signifikant mer total mängd information, dels signifikant mer mängd information av typerna när, hur, tid och varför. En tvåvägs Anova visade en signifikant huvudeffekt för mängden genererad information vid en undersökning av två av de underliggande variabler som konstituerar respekt: Den hörde berättar spontant & flödigt om händelsen, tillmötesgående & samarbetsvillig; Den hörde uttrycker sorg med eventuell gråt men berättar/svarar flödigt på frågor.
