AbstractDespite that e-business nowadays is established scepsis against it amongst consumers exists. We, as consumers, suppose that this skepticism is caused by bad communication from the e-business companies. This has lead to our suggestion that some con-sumers refrain from e-business because of bad communication or deficient trust.Our purpose with this paper was to investigate factors of communication between companies and consumers within e-business (B2C) from the consumers? point of view. We thereby have drawn conclusions regarding consumers? choice of e-business company.

Bakgrund: Begreppet corporate governance har på senare tid fått en ökad betydelse i den bolagsrättsliga kontexten. Enligt Svensk Kod för Bolagsstyrning så ska företag på reglerade marknader avlägga en bolagsstyrningsrapport bifogad till sin årsredovisning. En stor del av rapporten utgörs av en presentation av bolagets interna kontroll och riskhantering avseende den finansiella rapporteringen. Här har företagen möjlighet att stärka sina aktieägares och andra potentiella investerares förtroende för sin verksamhet. Men vad är det som styr hur företagen väljer att framställa och presentera denna information? Enligt institutionell teori så finns det faktorer i ett företags omgivning som påverkar organisationens medlemmars agerande och ett sådant tryck är att styrelseledamöter påverkas av styrelseledamöter i andra företag.

Cloud computing has become a very publicized and popular concept in recent years, both in business literature and research, where data ownership is the security aspect which has usually been ranked the highest of the disadvantages that can be identified with cloud services. Today there is a lack of research on information ownership from an informatics perspective, as it is most often discussed from a legal perspective.In our study we interviewed six different companies that use cloud services, on which attitudes and reasoning they had on their information ownership. We compared these attitudes with the attitudes we identified in business literature and research on the subject. In business literature we found four recurring themes which were very clear about how a company should govern information ownership.Overall the results of our interviews showed that there is widespread ignorance at the companies on how information ownership in the cloud is regulated between the company and the cloud provider. All companies expressed that they had not experienced any change in ownership when they placed their data in the cloud, and they expressed no major concerns about how the ownership was handled.

The intention of this essay is to describe the problems with loss of books at three Swedish University libraries. It?s based on interviews with librarians. The library codes of ethics, the library law and the terms of reference of the libraries are central for my understanding. Interview results: Little was being done to stop theft.

Africa is one of the regions most affected by climate change. However its forests are important carbon sinks for the whole world, and if recognised as a global public good, could be conserved and contribute to green house gas emission reductions. A global mechanism, Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation(REDD+) aims to help developing countries in reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and enhancement of carbon stocks. REDD+ strategies may, however exclude local forest dependent communities from forests in order to conserve and maximise carbon stocks, thus having a severe impact on local livelihoods. Therefore, how local communities can participate and share benefits from REDD+ is a key concern.This study investigates how three forest dependent communities in the Nazinon forest, in Southwest Burkina Faso could financially benefit from a REDD+ project.

AbstractBackground. The need for drugs delegation is increasing as more and more sick people are cared for at home and too few nurses working in home health care. Because of this, the number of delegations per nurse is often unacceptably high.Aim. The aim of this study was to describe the public health nurses´ experience in drugs delegation to home care staff in home care.Method. In this study a qualitative method with an inductive approach was used.

The regime theory is the dominant paradigm in the studies of urban politics in USA. It provides a set of concepts to analyse the change from government to governance in the American local politics. The regime theory postulates that governing power in local government tends to be highly fragmented. The private sector has with its control of economic resources a major influence in shaping governing decisions. In this essay I study the regime theory in a Swedish context to investigate if the theory is pertinent when studying of Swedish local governance.

Denna studie ämnar undersöka hur den reella makten över ett områdes fysiska utformning kan konstrueras och ta sig i uttryck genom informella nätverk och förhandlingsplanering. Resultatet diskuteras sedan utifrån ett demokratiskt perspektiv. Undersökningen sker genom att med kvalitativa metoder undersöka den planeringsprocess som skulle leda fram till Annedal, ett pågående nybyggnadsprojekt i Stockholms kommun. Den huvudsakliga källan till empiriskt material har varit genom intervjuer och samtal med personer som varit centrala aktörer inom Annedals planeringsprocess. Undersökningens empiri analyseras genom de teoretiska begreppen governance och rationalitet för att undersöka de nätverk inom vilka makten över kommunens fysiska utformning kan konstrueras, samt hur rationalitet används som ett verktyg för att forma det fysiska rummet.

Human rights and solidarity, as well as moral and legal responsibilities to protect people in need of refuge, seem to be principles of secondary importance within international migratory policies today. Instead, the predominant view seems to focus more and more on the protection of territorial borders, the welfare state and national identity. This international change in discourse can also be seen in the political trends of individual states. There are reasons to believe that this is a development that is also perceptible in the political rhetoric that is used in parliamentary debates, which constitute the main focus of this thesis. The aim of this study has therefore been to increase the understanding of this change in migratory policies by analyzing Swedish parliamentary debates between 1975 and 2002, using a theoretical framework focused on two different perspectives on security: First, the Copenhagen School and securitization of migration, and second, human security and human rights.

Denna studie har som fokus att identifiera de faktorer som påverkade utgångspunkten för den tänkta fusionen mellan svenska Telia och norska Telenor samt fusionen TeliaSonera. Ytterligare skall faktorer som kunde ha underlättat och möjliggjort fusionen Telia/Telenor besvaras. Dessutom skall fusionen mellan Telia och finska Sonera studeras och jämföras med den förstnämnda fusionen för att påvisa vad som gjordes annorlunda under förhandlingarna med Sonera.Detta kommer att undersökas genom ett antal tidningsartiklar kring händelseförloppen samt intervjuer med personer som har kunskap och erfarenhet kring ämnet. This study examines university employees? perception of their employment situation and career opportunities. By tradition, fixed term contracts are used in the Swedish research community due to dependency on insecure funding. There is a current debate that questions this use of insecure employments. The employments are said to negatively affect the university?s societal role and international competitiveness.

Socially Responsible Investments (SRI) and Active Ownership have become increasingly important concepts when it comes to the corporate governance of investors today. Institutional owners highlight the importance of engaging in dialogue, in their pursuit to influence the companies to become sustainable. However, stakeholders and academia are requesting more insight into the workings of these dialogues, concerning their purpose, design and function. This study attempts to increase the existing knowledge of dialogue as a tool for active engagement, used by institutional investors in Sweden. The performed study is based on interviews with five public and private Swedish institutional investors, an SRI consultant firm as well as representatives from two NGOs.

Denna studie syftar att i relation till governance-perspektivet granska forskares argumentation kring reglering avgeoengineering. Detta för att utläsa om den reglering som forskare argumenterar för kan väntas vara effektiv närklimatfrågor styrs allt mer integrerat från samhället.Geoengineering är samlingsnamnet för tekniker som återbalanserar klimatet för att motverka klimatförändringar.Teknikerna innebär stora risker då kunskapen idag är liten om effekter från användning. I dagsläget finns inte hellernågon direkt reglering av geoengineeringteknikerna, endast några tekniker regleras till viss del av internationella avtalfrån FN. Detta framhävs som ett starkt argument av flertalet forskare för varför reglering är nödvändigt att utforma.Att en enskild aktör, eller en begränsad grupp aktörer kan använda teknikerna utan samtycke från andra staterpresenteras som ytterligare ett argument till varför reglering är nödvändigt.Hur forskarna menar att regleringen bör utformas för största effekt varierar, men överens är de om att i slutändankrävs en internationell reglering, då effekterna från teknikerna är globala. En sådan utformning är inte helt förenlig medgovernance-perspektivet som syftar till en styrning som är integrerad i samhället och inte som bindande internationellaavtal som integreras i politiken inom staterna.

Arbetsförmedlingen is the Swedish national authority responsible for the work politics, and its main purpose is to create and build a solid and sustainable job market.Economic crises together with changes in the society and in the organization over the past few years mean that the unemployed individuals that come in contact with Arbetsförmedlingen are no longer a homogenous group. A lot of effort is put into helping those who may find it difficult to enter the work environment, such as youths (19 ? 26 years old), people who have been unemployed or on sick leave for a long period of time, people with disabilities or immigrants who are newly arrived in Sweden.A harder social and economic climate can lead to frustration among the unemployed which mean that security measures at the offices has had to become adjusted. Local offices now have a public area where they have meetings with their clients and a locked open plan office space to which the public have no access. Working within an open plan office environment can cause health problems, mostly due to the constant background noise that comes from people having conversations on the phone, or with each other.

Sverige har under många år varit ledande i e-förvaltningsarbetet och har utformat ett flertal handlingsplaner för införandet. E-förvaltningsarbetet har drabbats av svårigheter och problem under åren och år 2008 startades e-förvaltningsarbetet om med en ny handlingsplan. Även denna handlingsplan har utsatts för kritik såsom att det bara en vision som saknar riktlinjer hur e-förvaltningsarbetet skall realiseras. Ledande personer inom forskningsämnet anser att handlingsplanen inte är tillräcklig för att stödja och leda kommunerna i e-förvaltningsarbetet. Studien syftar till att undersöka hur handlingsplanen omvandlas till styrning och strategier i offentliga förvaltningar.
