The purpose of this study is to characterize the research in the field of Knowledge Organization, during the period of 1990-2002, focusing on the subject and the epistemology of these studies. The result shows that studies concerning representation, e.g. subjects such as classification, indexing and bibliographic description, are the most frequently researched areas throughout the period. Classification was more popular in the beginning of the period, but later bibliographic description, mostly with studies on metadata, became more visible, together with a growing interest in information retrieval. The theoretical discussions in the studies focused primarily on document analysis and the organization of digital documents.

I bloggar hittar vi mängder av personlig information som berör både blogginnehavaren och dennes anhöriga, medvetet eller omedvetet. Den här studien avser att öka förståelsen för hur privatliv och personligt relaterad information framställs i två kända personers bloggar. Studien baseras på två bloggar skrivna av offentliga, kända personer - Alex Schulman och Pernilla Wahlgren. Han är en känd medieentreprenör och skribent, hon är en folkkär artist och sångerska från en teaterfamilj. Dessa bloggare är redan kända av allmänheten, något som gör att gränsen för vad som är privat och offentlig information blir väldigt suddig. Genom en kvalitativ textanalys i två steg, en beskrivande samt en tolkande textanalys, kommer resultatet visa vilka ämnen som tas upp i bloggarna.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: The purpose of this paper was to identify the communication process at the company Cherry casino and see what opinions the employees had about it. Moreover, an evaluation of the used strategies was done and an analysis about what perhaps could be done to improve the attitude, communication and in the end the result for the company.Material/Method: The empirical material was gathered through qualitative interviews and theory application.Main results: The transmission of information regarding the regular work related information works just fine and the channels used are well chosen. But more large-scale information that deals with the company?s plans, strategies and targets is not handled in the right way. Neither is the respond.

Syfte:           Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att studera hur personer med hjärtsvikt kan få en förbättrad nutrition genom egenvård.Metod:         Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt. Artiklarna söktes via databaserna CINAHL och PubMed.Resultat:      Studiens resultat innehöll 10 artiklar med kvantitativ ansats. En förutsättning för att personer med hjärtsvikt ska klara sin egenvård och ges möjlighet att förbättra sin nutrition är utbildning. Utbildningsmetoder som i föreliggande litteraturstudie har visat sig fungera är att kombinera skriftlig och muntlig utbildning. Undervisningen bör innehålla information om vilken typ av mat personer med hjärtsvikt behöver äta samt varför.

IT-användandet i byggbranschen har banat väg för nya, effektivare arbetssätt och det finns visioner om hur det ska fungera. Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att ta reda på byggbranschens användande av, och vision om BIM. Vad är BIM ? Building Information Model?Kort beskrivet är BIM en modell där all information för ett byggprojekts hela livscykel kan hanteras. BIM förenklar det fortlöpande arbetet genom hela byggprocessen genom att tillhandahålla information om projektet som är relevant, uppdaterad, integrerad, fullt koordinerad och av hög kvalité.

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate two pearl growing methods in ISI Web of Science. The methods tested are Find Related Records FRR, an automatic service that uses bibliographic coupling, and Author Keywords AK, where searches are performed using the two first keywords from this field. Both search methods were used on twenty initial documents and the first twenty hits were evaluated for relevance using a binary scale 0,1. The relevance criteria were based on specific information needs connected to every initial document. The measures used to evaluate the effectiveness of the search methods were Precision at DCV=10, P10, and Uninterpolated Average Precision AP.

Syftet är att undersöka medarbetarnas möjlighet till att arbeta utvecklande samt hur de får tillgång till och arbetar med icke-finansiell information på Nordea. Tillgången till fri information, som används och bearbetas på olika sätt, är idag en viktig förutsättning för medarbetarna inom Nordea. Icke-finansiell information blir allt mer viktigt, trots att Nordeas kortsiktiga framgång bygger på finansiella resultat. Tillgången till information skapar möjligheter för medarbetarna att vara med och påverka och fatta egna beslut. Det är inte längre ledningen som bestämmer vilken information som ska användas, ansvaret har förskjutits till medarbetarna.

The new information society has revolutionised almost the entire world. But the new technique does not only bring good. That which was before only available on paper may today only be available on a computer system. This makes it possible to send data electronically. In the wrong hands that information can become a threat against the security of an individual, a company or even a nation.

The health care sector is one of the most information-intensive institutions in Sweden. Big investments in information technology have been made to ensure efficiency and quality within organisations in health care. This has led to high requirements in documentation and resulted in an increase in administration which gradually more often is done by nurses and doctors. A major problem is that it is difficult to gain access to the information recorded in all the different systems, which is their objective. This causes double documentation instead of being a support in follow-up performance.

Vi har på uppdrag från Vägverket undersökt hur väl implementeringen av det nya intranätet, Infarten, har genomförts och mottagits av berörd personal på lokalkontoret i Karlstad.Infartens övergripande mål är att vara en del av chefernas och medarbetarnas dagliga arbete samt fungera som ett verktyg för att söka information. Intranätet ska sprida aktuella nyheter, som alla inom organisationen ska kunna ta del av. Anledningen till att Vägverket valde att vidareutveckla Infarten, från regionala intranät till ett intranät för samtliga regioner, var att de upplevde svårigheter och problem med en icke fungerande uppföljning och dubbellagring av information.För att ta reda på hur väl Infarten fungerar i det dagliga arbetet i verksamheten genomförde vi en kvalitativ undersökning bland medarbetarna på lokalkontoret i Karlstad. I de intervjuer vi gjorde, studerade vi medarbetarnas användning av Infarten i sina dagliga arbeten och även deras egna uppfattningar om Infartens uppbyggnad.Resultatet visade att medarbetarna hade användning av Infarten, de uppgav att de inte skulle vilja vara utan Infarten. Vi såg ett mönster som visade att respondenterna endast använde sig av vissa delar av Infarten, de delar de behövde för att klara av sina arbetsuppgifter.

The Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics (CGB) is an academic department at Karolinska Institute. Generally stated, the CGB department is committed to the generation and management of genetic information by approaches aiming at elucidating the connection between genes, protein and function.WiGID is a genome information database that is available through WAP (Wireless Application Protocol).Our version of WiGID is based on WML, PHP and PostgreSQL as a database server.One of the changes on the old WiGID application was the creation of a relational database with seven tables and one view, instead of the file that represented the database on the old version. We also changed the script language from python to PHP.The search engine ability has been extended with three new search alternatives for a user to choose from. Each choice leads to other, sometimes multiple choices.A GUI has been created for the administrator, to be able to insert information into the database.The structure of the search engine is primarily for narrowing down the search result on the phone display, thereby making the search efficient..

Changes are occurring in most organizations today and due to the fact that changes often are harder to implement than they seem, it often takes much longer time to implement them than the management have planned. During an organizational change theorist claim that communication between managers and employees is one of the most important things to consider. Therefore, in this essay, our aim is to closer investigate which needs of information and communication co-workers have during a planned organizational change. To collect data, we interviewed five co-workers and one manager who works in an organization which has gone through a major change. Our theoretical framework comprises former research of organizational communication, employee?s needs of communication, change communication and theories of uncertainty during organizational change.

Denna studie syftar till att undersöka den finansiella informationens eventuella inverkan på onormal avkastning i samband med publika bud. I en eventstudie analyseras därför företagsförvärv genomförda på Stockholmsbörsen under tidsperioden 1990-01-01 till och med 2009-12-31. Den moderna portföljteorin, effektiva marknadshypotesen samt marknadsmodellen utgör den teoretiska grunden för den kvantitativa undersökningen. För att utvärdera huruvida förvärven varit värdeskapande beräknas onormal avkastning, kumulativ genomsnittlig onormal avkastning(CAAR) samt volymviktad kumulativ onormal (VW CAAR) för bud- samt målbolag. Vidare presenteras tidigare forskning samt teorier kring företagsförvärv, vilka utgjort underlaget till hypoteserna i studien.Förvärven har delats in i två huvudgrupper baserat på om finansiell prognostiserande information har delgetts marknaden i samband med förvärv eller inte.

The aim of this paper is to examine the actualities of Information Practicefor single women whose parentage has been made possible through assistedreproduction, which places these parents in a norm-breaking position.Study issues related to parents? perceptions of information needs areinvestigated, as is the process of information retrieval and library usageas well as the obstacles and opportunities facing parents in search ofinformation related to their own family constellation. To this end, theoriesby Tom Wilson, Reijo Savolainen and Elfreda A. Chatman have been usedas a model of selection. Empirical data have been gathered from interviewswith eight single women, whose parentage has been made possible throughartificial insemination or IVF with sperm from an open or anonymousdonor.

The purpose of this study is to facilitate sustainable building by the use of BIM. The goal is to determine which aspects of sustainable building, which can be analyzed mainly with BIM tools, but also other aids.The study is based on literature studies and interviews. The literature review examines aspects important for sustainable building by studying environmental certification systems applicable in Sweden, as well as the BIM tools available on the market to analyze these aspects. The literature also includes the concepts of BIM and sustainability in order to provide a clearer view of its meaning. The interviews have brought the study's overall understanding of the industry and guidance on the subject.The results are presented in a table, where the aspects relevant to sustainable building are listed.
