Syftet med den här uppsatsen var att undersöka hur socialsekreterare talar om att de hanterar delgivning av information till barn om att de är föremål för en utredning hos socialtjänsten. Frågeställningarna gällde huruvida socialsekreterarna säger att de delger barnen information samt hur bristande information påverkar samtalet med barnet, och även hur socialsekreterarna resonerar kring lagstiftning och etik i dessa frågor. Teoretiska utgångspunkter var Harold Öv-reeides kommunikationsteoretiska perspektiv, etisk teori och lagstiftningen. Metoden var kva-litativ och djupintervjuer i form av två fokusgrupper genomfördes. Analysen gjordes med hjälp av meningskoncentrering där centrala teman i den utskrivna intervjutexten eftersöktes.

Information overload förekommer på alla arbetsplatser där informationsbearbetning är viktigt för arbetsprocesserna. I vissa fall kan information overload medföra allvarliga konsekvenser både för den enskilda medarbetaren och för verksamheten i stort. På akutmottagningen på Centrallasarettet i Växjö har sjuksköterskorna en viktig roll som samordnare av den information som används i patientarbetet. Syftet med denna undersökning är att undersöka vilka faktorer som främst orsakar information overload hos sjuksköterskorna på akutmottagningen CLV, samt att undersöka hur fenomenet IO påverkar vårdkvaliteten.Under mars och april 2007 genomfördes intervjuer med sju sjuksköterskor på den aktuella akutmottagningen utifrån en frågemall som utformats med hjälp av aktuell forskning på information overload. Resultatanalysen skedde utifrån en specifik orsakstabell som tagits från en litteratursammanställning av Eppler och Mengis (2004).

A road structure consists of sub- and superstructure which is divided by a boundary known as terrace. During the construction of unbound layers (base course and sub-base course) in the superstructure, it is always ensured that the material meet the requirements for bearing capacity and the degree of compaction. These parameters are controlled by various laboratory tests and control methods. To obtain increased knowledge of the material and improve the quality of the compaction in the field, it is necessary to perform laboratory tests in order to determine material properties.A base course material 0/ 32 mm limestone from Gotland (Hejdeby) was investigated in this study.

The study examines what affects loyal football supporter?s intentions to an array of behaviors that can generate revenues to the football clubs. Specifically the study shows that attitude towards the club affects the supporter?s intentions towards consuming products and services that in some way are related to the favorite club stronger than the satisfaction with the club. Furthermore, the study also shows that there are different kinds of attitudes that drive the intentions and that the strength of these drivers varies.

The purpose of this Master thesis is to investigate how the relation between users and librarians is affected by higher education librarians? talk about information literacy. The thesis uses Norman Fairclough?s critical discourse analysis in analysing four articles written by Swedish higher education librarians and in answering how information literacy, users and librarians are constituted. The analysis indicate that the questions have no distinct answers, there are discrepancies between, as well as within the texts.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the information use among Swedish backpackers, both prior to departure and while travelling. The questions posed in this study are; which artefacts did the backpackers use, in what way were those used as tools of mediation within their social practice and how does a presumptive interaction between backpackers and information sources appear? The empirical material consists of interviews, held with eight backpackers, concerning their information use. The interviews reveal that a number of information sources are being consulted. The most commonly used sources identified in the empirical material are guide books, advice from other backpackers, fiction, TV programmes and periodicals.

New and more innovating storage solutions enters the market, but are they necessary to smaller companies of development active in the IT society? Questions to Answer: Is data storage a growing problem for companies of development active in the IT society? How do traditional storage solutions manage the information growth of today? How urgent is the need of a new storage solution? Which features are prioritized in the future storage solution? Method: By performing a quantitative survey we delivered an inquiry to several companies, which answers will help us answering our above mentioned questions.

This thesis studies the negative impact that control signal saturation may have on a controlled system. Different methods that are used to compensate for this problem are also studied and evaluated. Both sensitivity to disturbances and the effect the method has on the systems'ability to follow a reference signal will be examined. Stability will be discussed, but no conclusions whether the systems are stabilized or not can be drawn. Control signal saturation will lead to a slower behavior in general.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar frågan kring vad information och rådgivning enligt miljöbalken egentligen innebär. I miljöbalken 26 kap 1 § står att ?Tillsynsmyndigheten skall dessutom, genom rådgivning, information och liknande verksamhet, skapa förutsättningar för att balkens ändamål skall kunna tillgodoses?. Det övergripande syftet med studien är att ta reda på om tillsynspersoner och företagare har olika upplevelser av tolkning och tillämpning av lagen om tillsyn (miljöbalken 26 kap § 1) med fokus på information och rådgivning till privata företag. Det empiriska materialet har hämtats från intervjuer med två tillsynspersoner samt en miljöansvarig person på ett tillsynspliktigt företag.

En rad olika faktorer påverkar en konsuments beteende och attityd gentemot ett företag och en butiks val av varumärken och sortimentsutbud spelar en betydande roll för att kunna kommunicera ut ett budskap som lockar den tänkta målgruppen. Syftet med studien var att studera hur förskolan och förskoleklassen arbetar med överlämning av barninformation. Frågor som ställdes var hur förskollärare i förskolan förbereder och hanterar den information som lämnas vidare till personalen i förskoleklassen och hur förskoleklassens personal uppmärksammar den information som tillägnas dem. Fokus har legat på barn i behov av särskilt stöd. I bakgrunden bearbetades forskningslitteratur. This qualitative study examines how users of boardgamegeek.com chooses which analogue game to buy. The purpose of the study is to find out which factors constitutes the choice of games and how the information of these factors reach the consumer. The investigation is executed by users of boardgamegeek.com explaining their latest game purchase in a questionnaire survey online. The results show that many of the respondents research the games they are interrested in beforehand and based on this information make their choice. Despite of this we can see that many game developers and distributors does not make this information available for the consumers, but leaves this task to the public..

The aims were to investigate the public awareness of aphasia in a Swedish sample and examine if knowledge of aphasia relates to gender, education or age. Participant?s sources of knowledge of aphasia were examined. A total of 153 individuals, aged 18-90, were surveyed. Participants were categorized into three groups; heard of, knowledge of and not heard of aphasia.
