Både under min tidigare utbildning, främst inom nationalekonomi vid Lunds universitet, men även senare i min yrkesutövning inom bygg- och fastighetsbranschen under en period av 15 år, har jag främst kommit i kontakt med problemställningar vilka i någon mån haft som syfte att utmynna i en slutsats med kvantitativ relevans. Då jag som del av programmet Urban utveckling och planering skulle skriva en uppsats på D-nivå, ett arbete som resulterade i förevarande rapport, valde jag därför en problemformulering och en metod som båda gav mig möjlighet att bredda min kompetens, snarare än fördjupa den. Denna studie strävar efter att utveckla en teori för stadsutveckling ur ett fastighetsföretagarperspektiv. Den specifika situation som arbetet fokuserar på är stadsdelen Norra Sorgenfri i Malmö. Teorin har genererats med användning av metoden grundad teori och datorprogrammet Atlas/ti. Läsaren finner förhoppningsvis att den teori som utvecklas har en allmän relevans för stadsutveckling och hur kommunens planarbete kan förändras. Den som är intresserad av just vitaliseringen av Norra Sorgenfri bör också kunna finna något av värde.

Abstract Project as a method was defined in the American defense industry in the 1950´s and has since then developed to encompass many different areas such as industrial management, administration, research and development and IT etc. In the cultural sector project is a common way of organizing work and within theatre, which is the focus of this study, one can claim that project as a form of work has been used for hundreds of years, if not by definition.Theatre is generally assumed to be an form of art representing creativity and innovation, highly demanding from an individual perspective relative to the project result, i.e. the final performance. Time pressure, fierce competition, limited resources and responsibility to deliver on time with high quality are natural conditions given.The aim of the study is to find out what circumstances and conditions affect and have a clear impact on motivation and creativity in those working professionally within theatre.This study is based upon qualitative interviews with a limited number of employees with different occupations, within a major publicly-funded Swedish theatre institution.Contemporary research indicates both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation as essential for how we experience and commit ourselves to our work, either as two separate forces but also as they interact.Extensive studies further state our individual experience from work, the conditions provided by the organization and social environment as crucial to our work performance. A positive experience from these factors enhance our motivation and creativity.The results of this study show theatre to be an activity supported by strong visions and clear goals where challenge and creativity are essential and where it´s members show strong commitment to the task whether they are beside or on the stage..

Natura 2000 is part of the European Union: s framework to protect and preserve biological diversity. Natura 2000- areas are by the goverment appointed to areas of national interest for preserving nature. Also wind power stations are appointed as of national interest and the reason for this is the goverments goal to get energy from reneweble energysources. This essay describes when both these intrests conflict eachother when it comes to building wind power stations within Natura 2000- areas. The main focus of this essay is a casestudy of two cases from two different counties, Dalarna- and Norrbotten county, where applications have been made to build wind power stations within existing Natura 2000- ares, both cases have reached the court dealing with enviromental issues.

Abstract The purpose of this project is to develop a modular processor card which is intended to work as a platform for Kitron Development Karlskoga. The modular processor card is meant to be used as a control system in development projects, mainly in medical and industrial products. The processor card will consist of a central unit with the basic functions for a control system. Furthermore there will be complete modules with machine commodity and programming, to pick exactly the necessary functions for a specific application. With consideration to the specification of the development and the main unit, I chose an adequate microprocessor (AT90CAN32) as core and interface circuits to stated border areas. The construction is first completed in the program MultiSim and then remade in the program OrCAD Capture. The programming language C was used in the software model.

Purpose: The aim with the report is to investigate if the South East Asian customer on the food processing market base their investments on Total Cost of Ownership and if so, which are the cost drivers considered most vital. Moreover, do these cost-drivers diverge from the perception FP Ltd has, and if so, can a Total Cost of Ownership-model help to achieve a mutual understanding? Methodology: First a descriptive approach will be taken, identifying FP Ltd?s employers? perception on how to meet the customer. This will later be compared to our empirical findings of the actual customer behaviour in Thailand and Vietnam. Thorough analyse of the gap between the two parts will give us the outcome whether or not FP Ltd will have any use of presenting a quantitative model justifying their higher price.

De amerikanska forskarna Ha, Kwon och Lennon (2007) utvecklade i en studie en taxonomi där de undersökte visual merchandsing-element på den koreanska och amerikanska e-handelsmarknaden. Syftet med denna studie är att testa den taxonomi som Ha et al. (2007) utvecklade, på e-handelssidor riktade mot den svenska marknaden.

A well-planned grave with a sustainable selection of plants facilitates easy maintenance for both staff and the holder of the right of burial. It also helps reduce the negative impact on the environment.As in many other areas, the environment is high on the agenda within the cemetery administration. One of the major concerns is the impact of the choice of plants for the grave. Within the industry there is a great motivation and willingness to adapt to a sustainable work mode and this has spawned a number of project works. In autumn 2009 the partnership project, ?Environmental aspects of planning and maintaining graves?, was started in Movium (at The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences).

This Master Thesis is a product development project that has been carried out in cooperation withLappset Sweden AB.The purpose has been to develop a group of products suited for parks andtraditional playground locations. The specific target area has been courtyards of newly builtresidential areas. (These pieces of open land resemble glades that can be found in the forest,which in Swedish is called ?gläntan? and has given name to the product family). Therefore thedesign should match contemporary architecture.

Hur kan samspelet mellan objekt och plats se ut och vad kan det kallas? Genom litteraturstudier och observationer undersöks samspelet mellan konstverk och allmänt tillgänglig plats. De objekt som undersöks är konstverk i tre olika miljöer; en stadsmiljö, en naturmiljö och en park, vilken kan ses som en blandning av de två förstnämnda. Syftet med är att genom litteraturstudier och observationer undersöka samspelet mellan dessa tre konstobjekt och platser och på så sätt försöka utröna om ett konstnärligt förhållningsätt kan appliceras i platsskapandet även inom landskapsarkitekturen. Dessutom diskuteras om enskilda objekt kan väcka medvetenhet om en plats och stärka platsens identitet.

Spectacular buildings and categorized districts are becoming more common elements in cities. In many cases, they are the result of city branding, which means choosing a city image and dealing with it like a brand to profile and compete against other cities. This essay study what impact on and roll in urban planning the trend might have. The first part relies on literary studies and describes what has been written about city branding. The globalization, the experience economy, urban management, urbanization and the theory of the creative class are pointed out as driving forces of the popularity and the spread of city branding.

This paper presents the result of a master thesis project at 30 Hp, master of industrial engineering at Luleå University of Technology. The project was performed during 20 weeks, spring 2014, in collaboration with ABB Control Products in Västerås. The aim of the project was to evaluate two half-automated assembly lines for a new generation of contactors, the NAFC assembly lines (New AF Conductor). The aim and purpose of the project was achieved by answering the following questions:? How are the ergonomic working conditions at the NAFC assembly lines during spring 2014?? Which areas at NAFC assembly lines can be improved for the work environment?? How can the ergonomic work conditions improve at the NAFC assembly lines?Literature reviews were performed from earlier research papers and articles of the ergonomic, musculoskeletal and work environment subject, from where a number of chosen methods and tools were used to perform the ergonomic evaluation.

Research question: How does the industrial company Scania work to get more women in leadership positions?Purpose: The purpose of this work is to describe how companies in a male-dominated industry can work to get a higher share of female leaders.Method: This survey was based on a deductive approach with a qualitative method. Theories have been obtained primarily from scientific articles and the empirical part has been collected through interviews from the companies Wiminvest and Scania.Conclusion: The conclusions the study came up with was different elements that companies in male-dominated industries can work with to get a higher share of female leaders. The first thing that companies can do is to join the project BON or similar projects to work on this issue. They can work with workshops and lectures to disseminate knowledge about the topic.

This report describes a project, which was carried out as a final thesis covering 30 ECTS during the final semester of the Master of Science programme Industrial Design. The assignment was issued by Fagerhults Belysning AB in Habo. The assignment was to design a family of products in which LED was to be used as a source of light. The main focus in the initial part of the project was to find a way to design the inside of armature which was suitable for LED technology. An armature, already in the range of products at Fagerhult, with the desired qualities that was to be strived after was the Zintra. The lighting source of the Zintra is a compact fluorescent lamp.

Uppsatsen handlar om hur Västerås centrala parker används. Arbetet syftar till att utvärdera om deras utseende, karaktärer och funktioner bidrar till att tillgodose invånarnas behov och intressen. Hur användningen förändrades beroende på aspekter som väder, vardag eller helgdag samt tid på dagen undersöktes genom platsobservationer vid olika tider och dagar. De tre parkerna Vasaparken, Rudbecksparken och Djäkneberget i Västerås valdes ut för undersökningen. Vasaparken och Rudbecksparken liknar till utformning och karaktär majoriteten av stadens centrala parker.

Bakgrunden till vår uppsats var de tankar som vi hade kring tillgängligheten till nationalparker och skyddade områden. Nationalparker och skyddade områden ligger ofta på platser som inte är lättillgängliga. Som besökare till dessa områden behövs ofta egen bil eller båt för att ta sig dit. En del av planeringen vid upprättelserna av parkerna består av att säkra att de är tillgängliga.Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur de svenska nationalparkerna har gjorts tillgängliga för offentligheten, sedan upprättelsen av de första nationalparkerna i Sverige i 1909 och till Hamra Nationalpark utvidgades kraftigt i 2011. Vidare är syftet att belysa de olika etableringsdiskurserna.För att kunna undersöka detta har vi använt oss av litteraturstudier för att samla information om historiken kring nationalparkerna samt vad som tas upp i Sveriges nationalparksplan.
