The little steel industrial community Hofors is situated in Gästrikland on the border to Dalarna and its population is decreasing every year. The biggest housing operator is in a place where they must tear down a lot of buildings because they do not have enough tenants. But what do people really want in an apartment and in the surroundings? What is needed to make it attractive? That is something that this study will discuss and in the end it will lead to a proposal of an area that is suitable for a new housing and a few proposals to make the existing apartments more attractive..

This report describes an investigation of the indoor climate in two different workspaces. Since we a big part of our lives are staying indoors in artificial environments, and more particularly in our workplaces, we think it would be interesting to do this investigation. The technical solutions for air treatment systems began with simple natural systems without fans and where the thermal rise of the air applied. In modern time is technical air treating systems used to take care of the fresh air supply. This type of units can supply filtered air with the right temperature to the building. Well-functioning ventilation is essential to bring clean fresh air to the room and effectively remove impurities without sound- or draught problems. The indoor climate is relevant for the output capacity.

Denna rapport har titeln Lek i grönt!:ett förslag om att skapa ett woodland med goda förutsättningar för lek i Vikenparken, Höganäs. Den undersöker vilka kvalitéer ett woodland bör ha för ett kvarter eller en stadsdel för att kunna ge förutsättningar till en så bra lekmiljö som möjligt. En följdfråga behandlas även; hur bör man med utgångspunkt från dessa kvalitéer designa en park som just Vikenparken i Höganäs kommun? Rapporten är indelad i fyra delar: en första inledande del där bakgrunden till arbetet beskrivs. Del två redovisar min syntes.

KLIPPANByggnadens form utgår från platsens morfologi och topologi.Konkav mot staden och konvex mot parken, utskjutande mot hornsbruksgatan och fasad mot Högalidsparken.I gränsen mellan natur och stad vill den ta fasta på båda världars egenskaper och styrkor och samtidigt utgöra länken dem emellan.En klippa som sträcker ut sig mot det urbana landskapet med Högalidskyrkan i ryggen.Den skapar möten och förenar inom ramen av sig själv och de cirkulationsflöden den ger.Klippan förlänger parken genom sitt offentliga terrasstak och utgör samtidigt en öppning från stad till park.Ett trappsystem placerat på den södra delen leder in besökaren till de offentliga delarna av byggnaden. Ett centralt system, direkt till parken.Härigenom skapas ett följsamt möte mellan stad och park samtidigt som gränsen mellan privat och offentligt luckras upp inom ramen för byggnadens mixade programmering.Ett bibliotek/ideastore placerat på markplan i riktning mot Hornstull, samsas med kontorsdelar mot tunnelbanan.I de två övre planerna ligger programdelar som direkt har ett utbyte av varandras närhet, uthyrbara kontorsplatser, arbetsförmedling, ateljéer och kafé.Boendedelen är fristående och placerad ovanpå T-banestationen, men ändå integrerad genom det externa cirkulationssystemet--------------------------------------------------------------Utgångspunkten är mötet mellan stad och natur, park. Idén är att skapa en byggnad som starkt relaterar till sin gränslandet och samtidigt har en självständig identitet Platsen har idag en rad olika och i viss mån separerade kvalitéer. Grönområde - urbanitet - närhet till olika noder - T-bana - urban knytpunkt - Hornstull. Byggnaden ska ta till vara på dessa kvalitéer genom att arbeta med mötet där emellan. Genom att knyta ihop dem kan en tredje sfär skapas inom ramen för byggnaden och dess omgärde.  - Hur koppla ihop delarna? - Hur få ut något intressant och bra? Macrostrategi Byggnadens externa relationÖppna upp cirkulationsflödet mellan gaturum och park. Öppna upp siktlinjer - skapa visuella kopplingar från gaturum till park - från byggnad till sin omgivning. Distribution av programdelar i relation till plats.

?A culture center should be visually welcoming as well as attract a diverse range of visitors with different backgrounds.? This was the client?s request for a new cultural center in Nairobi. The location is in the heart of Nairobi?s industrial area, near several existing buildings that are already in use by the culture organization known as Go Down. I have chosen to keep most of the existing buildings and to use my new building as a complement for the desired program.

This project has been about making a design suggestion for a boat accessory that adjuststhe distance between a sail-or motorboat and the dinghy, which is connected by a rope inthe stern. Today this is all done by hand and can lead to problems when it comes tostressful situations such as harbors and narrow passages.A company called Sailsafe came up with the idea and the construction, which they alsohave tested. I found them through an acquaintance at Dacat AB where I did an internshipin the fall of 2010.Using sketching as the primary tool I?ve worked in an almost-real design project with theaim to develop my skills and give the company a relevant design suggestion. Dacat thenhelped me with a 3d model in Alias, which was printed in 3d and painted in thepaintworkshop at school..

During spring 2008, the Institution for Landscape Architecture, in co-operation with Naturvårdsverket, initiated a survey in the districts of Skåne. In the survey, four out of eight park characters were examined, and it was observed that not only was it difficult interpreting these characters, but it was also presented with difficulties separating ??Lustgården?? and ??Allmänningen??. The purpose of this master thesis in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Psychology is twofold. Firstly, a theoretical framework will be constructed on the thee characters ??Allmänningen??, ??Lustgården?? and ??Centrum, festen??.

Energy supply in Sweden year 2011 amounted to 577 TWh. The final energy consumption for industrial, residential and service was 379 TWh. Sweden has energy policy goals to reduce energy use in buildings. One of these goals is to reduce the energy use by 20 % in 2020 compared to the year 1995. An important step to achieve this goal is to target energy efficiency measures in existing buildings.

"Ekskolan" is a monumental school placed in the middle of the new town area "Mariehäll" in Stockholm, Sweden. 600 pupils between preeschool until year 5 will use the school and its big schoolyard between the townsquare and the public park.The school will be built in massiv wood, both for human reasons with a environment of good, healthy and suitable material for the people and the school activity.The school is seperated in 3 volymes that organises different years; house B and C, and the common facilities: house A. The scool has a cultural profile with rooms for creative activites, documentation and exhibition.To mark the border to the public places that surround the scool and to meet the inclined topography, the schoolhouses will stand on a terrace. The terrace creates rooms between the houses that can be used to utdoor teaching. Likewise, the terrace creates a opened sightline between the public rooms and all the way down to the river..

The work describes the development of an adjustment algorithm that will replace today?s manual adjustment of Lead- and Lag-filters at ABB Robotics industrial robots. The adjustment is mainly for the filter parameters in the control system.Three different algorithms have been created to replace the manual adjustment. One of them is based on the criterion from the manual adjustment and another one on optimization of the sensitivity function. The last one is a combination of the two.The report describe the development of the algorithms and how they behave during simulations and tests on real robots.

The purpose with this research is to examine how the green marketing in retail trade can be developed in order to promote the eco-labeled products closer to the consumer.The method for the survey includes interviews with managers of a few retailers and their customers in the industrial sector. The purpose with the interviews was to produce the retailer and the customer?s perspective of products with eco-label on.The research is limited to the region of Västra Götaland.The results from this research indicate that there is a lack of communication between the retailer and the consumer. The consumers don?t think that the product is available.

Som följd av den pågående urbaniseringen har de naturliga förutsättningarna för regn och smältvattnet att infiltrera i marken och återgå till sitt kretslopp på naturlig väg försvunnit i städerna. I Stockholm leds ungefär hälften av dagvattnet via VA-nätet direkt och orenat till reningsverken. Dagvattenflödet varierar kraftigt vilket orsakar toppar som överbelastar VAnätet  och är svåra för reningsverken att hantera. Istället för att ledas ut i VA-nätet ska dagvatten strävas efter att hanteras lokalt. Arbetet lägger fokus på dagvattenhanteringen för takparken på ett nybyggnadsprojekt i Stockholm, projektet PARK 1.

Slänten är en byggnad som innehåller två olika lager, ett privatare mer skyddat i form av förskolan och ett offentligt lager i form av danslokaler,restaurang och ett parkdäck på taket. Platsen är vald eftersom även den innehåller två tydliga lager i olika höjdnivåer. Ett trafikseparerat cykeloch gångstråk där man nästan utan att passera en enda gata kan nå ändå fram till medborgarplatsen, det andra lagret är ca 5 meter ovanförstråket i form av den hårt trafikerade ringvägen. Konceptet utgår ifrån att synkronisera platsens förutsättningar med programmet och skapa en intressant dynamik mellan två egentligen oberoende programdelar. Byggnaden är också tänkt att aktivera och stärka entren till Tanto både vid Zinkens väg och vid ringvägen..

High housing- and construction costs is a fact in Sweden today. Prices on building materials more rapidly than producer price index for industrial goods. Prices tend to rise during market boom but does not adapt during diminishing demand. The effects of fading demand can rather be deduced through discounts and quotations. During 1992-1998 when the Swedish construction sector found it self in severe crisis the prices of construction materials kept rising more rapidly than PPI for industrial merchandise.

Sammanfattning Stadens offentliga rum är en viktig arena för stadslivet. Detta påstående har varit utgångspunkten för att undersöka de fysiska förutsättningarna i stadsrummet och vad de har för betydelse för mötet mellan människor. Människor ska ha möjlighet att mötas i det offentliga rummet, men det behövs en anledning för att vistas där. Det kan vara så enkelt som att titta på andra människor, men då måste människor välja att uppehålla sig just på den platsen. I examensarbetet utpekas ett antal element i den fysiska miljön som underlättar eller försvårar möjligheten till att vistas i den offentliga miljön.
