Marknaden för industriella distributörer har upplevt stora förändringar under de senaste decennierna. Trots att industribolag nu har större möjligheter att sälja direkt via internet har distributörerna generellt sett stärkt sin position av flera anledningar. Forskningen har emellertid förespråkat att det är starka samarbeten som skapar värde i distributionskanalen. I huvudsak har detta påvisats med kvantitativa studier och forskare har därför efterfrågat kvalitativa ansatser.Delvis med målet att fylla detta forskningsgap utfördes en fallstudie om ABB Low Voltage Products distributörsförsäljning av produktkategori Pilot Devices, som bland annat innefattar tryckknappar. Pilot Devices valdes eftersom de är typiska distributörsprodukter i flera avseenden.

Ground work like blasting, piling and excavation has always had a great influence during the planning phase of a construction project since it can cause damages on adjacent buildings and have severe economic consequences. This thesis deals with how vibrations caused by ground work influence near-by buildings and what methods geotechnicians and construction entrepreneurs use to handle these risks.The purpose of this thesis is to explain risk management in relation to ground work. In order to achieve this I have used a qualitative method by interviewing a geotechnician and a ground work contractor who possess knowledge and experience useful to this thesis. The result shows that vibrations from ground work spread through the ground as seismic waves that cause displacements and packing in the ground visible in adjacent buildings as cracks and subsidence damages. Geotechnicians study ground work vibrations by means of ground investigations and experience from previous projects in order to produce a risk analysis that entrepreneurs can use to reduce damages.

This thesis consists of three parts: one normative, one empirical and one constructive, with the intention to explore the enforcement of accountability in megaprojects.The thesis aims to evaluate the level of accountability in the policy process of the European Spallation Source, ESS between 1990 and 2008. In order to make a comparison possible, a norm is created concerning how a policy process should be designed, with primary focus on openness and participation, to make enforcement of accountability possible. The policy process of the ESS is compared with this norm with the purpose of discovering whether the process contains elements that assure enforcement of accountability. After the comparison is done, it is possible to formulate constructive proposals about how the enforcement of accountability can be improved.The thesis also explores how networks, consisting of actors with particular resources, surrounding the ESS-project affects the form of the policy process, e.g. in shaping the social construction of the aim and purpose of the project.

Climate change is an increasingly widely known concept. In the EU the construction sector is responsible for more than a third of the carbon dioxide emissions and 40 % of the total energy use. In Sweden, measures have been taken to prevent this climate change. By 16 targets, three of which can be linked to the construction sector, Sweden will reduce the negative trend. None of the three goals with relation to the construction sector will however be achieved before 2020.

I detta examensarbete har författarna tittat på effektivisering av ritningshanteringen i olika delar av byggbranschen. Att kunna hitta bland ritningarna på ett enklare sätt och att slippa sortera ut gamla ritningar när nya kommer in, är något som skulle förenkla ritningshanteringen och snabba upp tempot.Författarna har tittat på programmet DDR ? This bachelor essay is divided into two parts, the first being a construction of a single-familyhouse and the second an in-depth study of five different isolation materials, analysed from anenergy perspective.The first part, the construction of the single-family house, has been created from knowledgeacquired during three years of studying at KTH Royal institute of Technology in Stockholm, inthe program Architecture and the Built Environment. The constructed house is a one-floorhouse of 137m2with façade plaster, situated in Borlänge, Sweden. The house has a wooden framewhich is built on a on sight cast concrete foundation, on the ground. The house?s roof is a gableroof, which has an angle of 24 degrees.

To perform a historical record of Beijers Park's development to date is about securing the tracks back in time. The historical record about the park tells not only the history of the park but the city, district, local residents and art of gardening. As the historical story is documented the necessary base for establishment of any care plans in the future and the base for cultural and historical value the park is made. Beijers park can in such work be treated alone or as part of the context of parks that were built during the same era in Malmö's history.Beijers park origin from the era of the late 1800s, when the entire green structure in Malmö changed. The park area today covers 12 hectares and is located in the district Kirseberg.

Syftet med det här examensarbetet är att undersöka om det är möjligt att överföra hallbyggnadsteknik till produktion av småhus för att sänka produktionskostnaderna. Studien visar att hallbyggnadsteknik enkelt går att överföra till en villa. Dessutom blir det billigare att bygga klimatskalet med vårt byggsystem jämfört med ett traditionellt prefabricerat småhus. Genom detta system kan den totala byggkostnaden för villan i jämförelsen sänkas med 3-10 % beroende på vilket fasadmaterial som väljs..

Det svenska elpriset har under de senaste åren stigit kraftigt vilket inneburit avsevärt högre energikostnader för många företag. Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery i Finspång är en av dessa och har under en längre tid sett hur energianvändningen ökar för varje år, framförallt på grund av en allt intensivare produktion. Företaget vill därför se över energianvändningen i verksamheten. En energikartläggning och åtgärdsförslag av den största produktionsbyggnaden på området, Lavalverkstaden, är ett steg i den riktningen. Energikartläggningen har i grunden baserats på mätningar för att få en översiktlig bild över hur energianvändningen ser ut. Det sker genom att dela in energianvändningen i enhetsprocesser.

WLAN i form av standarden IEEE 802.11 används inte i större utsträckning i industriell miljö. Vi undersöker hur pass protokollet kan användas för datakommunikation i sådan miljö med avseende på störningskänslighet och datorkraftsbehov, i form av en empirisk undersökning. Dessa undersökningar har utförts på en industri med de tre vanligaste standarderna IEEE 802.11b/g/n. Syftet med denna uppsats är att kontrollera vad som stör signalerna samt om den nyaste standarden 802.11n har något nytt som kan revolutionera inriktningen. Tester och undersökningar har visat att 802.11b och 802.11n är bäst när det gäller signalstyrka med störningskällor i omgivningen.

Given the possibility that the world, as we know it, is a consequence of human interaction and verbal communication our understanding of the world can be seen as contingent rather than essentially given. Conceptions such as "entrepreneur", "woman" and "man" can then be understood as socially constructed subjects. Departing from poststructural and social constructionist perspectives I will examine medial representation of women and men as entrepreneurs. My main purpose is to examine how the entrepreneur is constructed as a discursive subject in the journal Eget Företag. Drawing upon Ernesto Laclau´s and Chantal Mouffe´s Discourse Theory and the poststructuralist feminist theoretical perspective of Judith Butler I will discuss both the construction of the entrepreneur as well as the more explicit question; is gender significant for the construction of the entrepreneur and entrepreneurship in Eget Företag? In this study I come to the conclusion that the discourse of entrepreneurship, as well as the journalistic discourse, draws upon discourses of femininity and masculinity but also upon discourses of ethnicity.

The aim of this study was; from a group of boys and girls description and interpretation of interaction with other young people, personnel and the environment of the youth centre illuminate how the social gender are constructed and maintained at the youth centre. In this study we have tried to analyse the phenomena from an intersectionalistic perspective. Except gender, the analytic category social class have been tried to capture. Our theoretical standing point is social constructivism. Institutionalized structures in our society are constructed by humans, gender is not only a biological construction it is also a man created construction.

This essay is about the problematization of uneployment and unemployed in national policy documents of the years 1979 and 2007. The purpose of this essay is to illustrate and analyze the problematization of unemployment as a construction. My overall aim is investigating how the unemployed and unemployment are represented and constructed in the Swedish political debate the years of 1979/80 and 2006/07 by analyzing national policy document. The analysis will consist of questions about the problemrepresentaion made by unemployment and the unemployed, the assumptions behind this problematization and what kind of impact it could generate for the unemployed.  In this way, the study aims to investigate the changes that may have occurred in how unemployment is problematized in the Swedish policy documents and highlight citizenship conditions on the basis of labor market policy.

Höga byggkostnader, kvalitetsproblem, dyra kostnader för omprojektering och låg lönsamhet för entreprenörer är exempel på problem inom byggbranschen. Statistik pekar på att byggkostnaderna för att producera byggnader har stigit kraftigt under de senaste åren. Byggnadsentreprenörer har börjat utveckla alternativa metoder för att genomföra kostnadseffektiva projekt. Denna studie kan delas upp i två delar, en teoretisk och en empirisk del. Den teoretiska delen utgörs av litteraturstudier för att få djupare kunskap och förståelse om Lean konceptet. Den andra delen avser en empirisk studie.

Urban agriculture is a current topic and this study examines the possibility of cultivating on balconies in the city. The study was performed at Uppsala University and examines, from a structural engineering perspective, how different existing balcony/terrace structures are affected by cultivation. A cultivation balcony defined in the study as a balcony/terrace which is specifically designed for cultivation. Three units of study have been selected according to this criterion. Four factors were examined, these were loads, moisture/water, economy and cultivation.
