"Du pratar som dom i Sommarpratarna" : Om gymnasieelevers respons på argumenterande tal och attityder till respons

The aim of this study is to investigate oral peer review on argumentative speech and to study the attitudes towards this peer review. The investigation was performed in an up-per secondary school class, and it focused on the different types of oral responses students give each other. In addition, the study investigated in what way the students experience this type of peer review. The results show that students reflect on form and performance as well as content, but they place more emphasis on form and performance than content. Students are positive about peer review and its importance for their progress.

Modersmålsundervisning i praktiken : Teaching native languages - how teachers of native languages and their students feel

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att belysa hur modersmålslärare och elever upplever modersmålsundervisningen i den stad där vi valt att göra vår undersökning. Metoden som användes var intervjuer med tio elever och två lärare inom modersmålsundervisningen. Definieringen av modersmål var enligt lärarna språket man talar hemma. Modersmålslärarna upplevde sin arbetssituation som positiv. Modersmålslärarna och deras elever var överens om att det inte fanns några nackdelar med modersmålsundervisningen.

Handlar det bara om slumpen, egentligen? : En kvalitativ fallstudie om att anpassa reklambudskap internationellt

Denna studie behandlar fenomenet anpassning av internationell marknadskommunikation. Tidigare studier har visat på att en anpassning av marknadsföring bör göras, speciellt gällande marknadskommunikation (Mooij, 2004). Samtidigt tas inte kulturteorier i beaktning när man studerar internationell marknadsföring, vilket vi tycker är oroväckande. I samband med denna studie har vi varit i kontakt med flera företag som berättar att de vill skapa marknadsföring som fungerar globalt, men att de inte vill anpassa sin marknadsföring. Vi tycker att det är av värde att studera anpassning av reklambudskap och hur kulturella aspekter speglas, då detta är av värde såväl för forskare som näringsliv. Vår frågeställning är vilket samband mellan interkulturell anpassning av reklambudskap och Hofstedes Kulturella dimensioner kan ses? Vår teoretiska grund består av definitioner som rör ämnena vi berör samt Hofstedes (2010) kulturella dimensioner, som ligger till grund för operationalisering och analys. Detta är en kvalitativ fallstudie av IKEAs katalog för vår 2015.

The intention of this study is to find out how the English subject takes form and develops in the early years in school related to the curriculum, teachers, teaching material, students and parents. The methods of the survey have been classroom observations, teacher interviews, textbook analysis and a parents´ questionnaire. The findings of this study are that the knowledge of the teacher in and about the English subject can have effect on how the English subject will be presented to the students during the English lessons and the amount of the students oral production of the target language seem to depended on how much the teacher uses the target language in the classroom. The contents of the English lessons was overall structured by the curriculum. The parents and their interest in their children´s education seem to have had an impact on how much focus the English language get.

Modersmålsundervisning : Lärares syn på modersmålsundervisning och samarbete med modersmålslärare i förskolan och skolan

The aim of the study was to examine Swedish preschool and school teachers views upon mother tongue education and cooperation with mother tongue teachers, research covering both topics are very limited. Data collection method for the study were interviews with three teachers from each type of school. The interviews were then transcribed, summarized, and finally analyzed based on the study's theoretical premises, a socio-cultural perspective, Kumashiros theory of non-oppressive teaching and constructivism. The results of the study showed that all teachers considered mother tongue education as important, but time constraints and workload prevented teachers from desirable development of mother tongue education. As for collaboration between teachers and language teachers, most teachers felt that such a thing does not exist, while those who have experience in this type of collaboration believes that it occurs to a limited extent..

Gitarren i grundskolan : En utvärdering av gitarrundervisningen på högstadiet

What amount of knowledge of guitar playing can be expected after completing upper compulsory school? A qualitative research involving three different music teachers provides their view of knowledge. Their expectations have been compared to a quantitative research involving 58 upper secondary students from the social sciences programme. The idea is to compare their pedagogic intentions to the pedagogic realities of music teachings.The study shows a clear advantage for students who has attended some form of external music tuition as well as for those students who have someone in their families who play an instrumentIf the knowledge primarily is due to extracurricular activities perhaps there is time for a reformation of the music subject so that all may enjoy the education, not merely those who already possesses a curtain amount of knowledge...The experience must not be allowed to submit to the vast forests of chords, by doing so one misses the purpose entirely.

Denna uppsats problematiserar huruvida en ledares kulturella bakgrund påverkar dennes arbete. I ett allt mer internationaliserat Europa ökar samarbeten mellan människor och företag över de nationella gränserna i en ökande takt. This study aims to highlight and analyze eight secondary teachers' views and thoughts on mathematics. Hopefully this study will provide a deeper understanding of how teachers think and reason about their subject and how this affects their teaching. The study was conducted using a qualitative interview method, based on interviews with eight middle school teachers who teach in school mathematics for grades 6 - 9. The interviews were recorded and then transcribed and analyzed. After the interview analysis one can conclude that the teachers? thoughts concern three main themes: the importance of mathematics, children?s lack of basic knowledge and the teachers? lack of time.In discussion and analysis the teachers conceptions of the own subject is being analyzed, and that is the foundation of this study.

Att lära tillsammans genom musik - En studie av hur rytmikpedagoger skapar en god miljö för lärande

This study is about how eurhythmic teachers create a comfortable and educational environment in their classrooms. In other words how they create a healthy working environment. Four teachers were chosen for the study, one of them male. I?ve used qualitative interviews because I believe it's the best method to collect information that illustrates what a teacher's working situation looks like and what he/she does to realize their own ideas.

En fallstudie av Södertörns högskolas intranät Kurswebben

We have made a qualitative study of what the students at Södertörns högskola use Södertörns högskola?s intranet Kurswebben for and how they experience the use of it. For this purpose we have made a qualitative interview examination with six students. The empirical material has been analysed according to our own analytic model which is based on existing usability theories and consists of the tree parts content, function and design.Our conclusion is that the students use Kurswebben mainly to keep themselves updated, download teaching material and schedules. According to our study, the students most of the time experience their use of Kurswebben as simple, but sometimes have a reluctance to visit it.

Lärande på lika villkor : En intervjustudie om individanpassad undervisning i ämnet svenska

This study is a survey concerning learning on equal terms. The purpose of the survey is to get a look into how teachers of today integrate students to obtain an individually adapt education. A good education is where every single student can evolve from an individual level and how education is adapted to let high-achieving students keep their motivation and thus develop from their own level of knowledge.Data has been collected through a qualitative method using semi-structured interviews. In the result the answers of the interviews are presented and it shows that teachers turn their focus towards low-achieving students. Low-achieving students are more in need of support to reach the required amount of knowledge, but that the high-achieving students must not be forgotten by the teachers. .

En bild av ökad alkoholkonsumtion bland svenska dagstidningar : En tematisk analys av Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen och Svenska Dagbladet

Den här uppsatsen handlar om hur ökad alkoholkonsumtion i Sverige framställs inom den svenska tryckpressen och vilken bild läsare kan få av den här skildringen. Min fråga är om det finns någon konfliktlinje i artiklarnas skildringar av den ökade alkoholkonsumtionen. För att kunna svara på frågan analyserades artiklar från fyra svenska tidningar, Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen och Svenska Dagbladet under perioden mellan 2000 och 2012. Resultaten visar att det finns en konfliktlinje bland artiklarna när det gäller den svenska alkoholpolitiken. Konflikten uppkommer mellan den liberala diskursen och den restriktiva diskursen.

Den komplexa styrningen : En studie om styrning vid Linköpings Universitet

Bakgrund och problem: Det finns mycket litteratur skrivet kring styrning i privat verksamhet, dock glöms den offentliga sektorn ofta bort, trots att styrning krävs även i dessa verksamheter. I denna studie kommer att fokuseras kring styrning i den offentliga sektorn och närmare bestämt i den akademiska världen. Anställda inom akademin värderar ofta friheten att själva kunna organisera sitt arbete högt, vilken kan hämmas av de finansiella begränsningar som dessa organisationer innehar. Här har strategin en viktig uppgift i att visa för de anställda i vilken riktning de ska sträva och få dem att fokusera på rätt saker. Vi ser att de finansiella begränsningarna kan hämma de anställdas frihet och på så vis påverka motivationen negativt.

This thesis will explore how the medium of film is treated in the recently published Swedish textbooks and how these textbooks take into account the four different aspects of Cineliteracy.Cineliteracy is a theory which advocates the necessity of students' increased cinematic knowledge by presenting the four skill areas that should be included when it comes to teaching film in school. The theory implies students´ analytical skills, contextual knowledge and knowledge of the film canon as well as the development of students' skills to produce films. Cineliteracy theory finds support both within Swedish National Agency for Education and in recent Swedish research.This study includes investigation of eight new textbooks, adapted to the criteria for the new Swedish curriculum 2011. The analysis will be limited to textbooks for the course Swedish 1, since it is mandatory regardless of the orientation of the student?s education..

Läsundervisning på mellanstadiet : En studie om svensklärares arbete och förutsättningar att stimulera elevers läsglädje

This thesis aims to study how teachers develop pupils' motivation to read. Using qualitative interviews, three Swedish middle school teachers describe their experiences regarding pupils' motivation to read. They comment on how they attempt to stimulate motivation and the conditions and circumstances they experience while carrying out their work. As a basis for the teacher interviews, their pupils completed a web based survey about how they value reading as an activity and how they see themselves as readers. An analysis of the interviews raises several issues for discussion: pupils have different needs, good readers are described through their abilities, not through their experiences or reading habits, and teachers feel they can be limited to implement the teaching they think is necessary to promote reading abilities.
