The aim of this essay is to illustrate a fundamental question; what is a democracy allowed to do to protect itself from enemies? I´ve chosen to analyze the conflict between the two values; individual integrity and state´s security. The individual integrity refers to every person's right to have a protected sphere, and the stat´s security refers to its right to protect itself, and these two positions are often time incompatible. This conflict of value is shown in a normative analysis, where depending on which perspective or normative logic is seen as primate, it gives different conclusions to what a democracy should do to defend itself.To demonstrate how severe the threats are against the society, I choose to examine a specific part of the organized crime, the outlaw motorcycle gangs. They have a special position in affecting the legal system because they have an explicit aim to influence the judicial system with scaremongering and threats.

Sjuksköterskor har flera arbetsuppgifter som innebär en möjlig kontakt med patienters blod och risk för en blodsmitta. Enligt föreskrifter från Arbetsstyrelsen ska handskar användas av vårdpersonal för att förebygga smitta. Trots dessa föreskrifter varierar användningen av handskar bland sjuksköterskor. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka sjuksköterskors attityder till att använda handskar i vården där risk för blodsmitta kan förekomma. En empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats genomfördes.

This study aim to explore how the conditions of an individual's childhood may affect their coping with trauma. The individuals represented in this study, for the purpose to explore coping with trauma, are individuals grown up under insufficient childhood conditions. This study is based on the assumption that childhood conditions, are a factor of influence on coping with trauma, in a greater extent than it is understood and given credit for in todays society. Our result shows that there is an obvious correlation between insufficient childhood conditions and destructive coping with trauma. There is a need of larger general awareness that an individuals resources for coping with trauma is affected by the conditions growing up.

I dagens finansiella marknad utsätts de finansiella aktörerna för risk på sin strävan efter lönsamhet. Balansgången mellan att maximera verksamheten och risk har öppnat ögonen och ökat medvetenheten om behovet av att utvidga sina krav på att täcka upp kapital.Efterfrågan på snabba, pedagogiska och säkra sätt att lätt kunna beräkna risk har därför snabbt ökat. Under de senaste åren har det därför blivit allt populärare att använda sig av riskmåttet ?Value at Risk? vilket kan definieras som; ?En portföljs maximala värdeminskning med en viss sannolikhet inom en viss tidsperiod? Jag har valt att göra en jämförelse mellan de två vanligaste modellerna som används för att räkna fram Value at Risk, Historisk simulering och Varians-/kovarians-metoden. De två modellerna kommer att testas mot tre olika tillgångar, guld, valutakurs Sek/£ samt aktieindex.

Bakgrund: Personer som injicerar droger riskerar att drabbas av allvarliga infektioner. Tidigare studier har visat att personal som möter personer i risk inte har tillräckligt med kunskap för att erbjuda hälsofrämjande insatser.Syfte:Att kartlägga personalens kunskap om infektioner som kan drabba personer som injicerar droger,samt undersöka om utbildnings intervention ökar personalens kunskap och motivation till preventiva samtal.Metod:Totalt genomfördes fem utbildningar med 26 deltagare från psykiatri-, och infektionsavdelning, samt ungdomsmottagning. Studien genomfördes med enkät före och en månad efter utbildning. Enkäten innehöll kunskapsfrågor och frågor om erfarenhet av preventionssamtal med personer i risk.Resultat:Studien visade att personalen saknade tillräcklig kunskap om smitta vid injektion av droger och att personer i risk inte i tillräcklig omfattning erbjöds information och stöd. Innan utbildning skulle enbart 60 % av personalen samtala om smitta vid injektion av droger om de fick frågor av personer i risk.

Thanks to preschool Bamse and the entire literature I have related to in my degree work I have both got an explanation for my question at issue, and a clearer insight for my main question "The treating of bilingual children after acclimatization". I have within the investigation chosen to study on the basis of the educationalists perspective on bilingual way of working. My question at issue on this investigation has been to see how a regular day of language development looks and how the group of children developed the Swedish language.The purpose with my degree work was to be able to get an insight in the educationalists way of working and methods and also to see how the educationalists treats bilingually individuals after the acclimatization. The purpose of this essay was to get some knowledge about how the situation was for children with overweight and obesity. I wanted to examine what experience about causes, consequences and measure the professionals, who meets children in different situations in their daily work had, and I wanted to find out which explanations current research had about the problem.The knowledge I have acquired during my work with this paper about the problem was that it was depending on many different factors on various stage in the child's life which influences and interacts with the child in its development. The risk that a child would develop overweight was amongst other things depending on the child's eating- and exercising habits.This habit was formatted for example by the circumstances in the family, availability of sweets/food and the choice of leisure time activities.The consequences for the overweight/obese children could be that the child did not manage to keep up with its friend's physical activities which led to a sense of rejection, risk of being bullied by friends, the risk of a damaged physical and psychic health. The problem was not easy to measure and all of the studies demonstrated that parental involvement is necessary in an effective treatment of childhood obesity..

Because of this the authors have focused their investigation on two companies in the London andStockholm. The authors will additionally use an international bank, an estate agent and a consultancy firm for further information, with regards to the property market and risks associated with these typesof investment in particular.

Flowcytometric technology has been widely used for measurement of the absolute numbers of T-lymphocytes subsets in Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV), defining the disease state, monitoring antiviral treatment, and identifying any risk for opportunistic infections. A manual preparing of the samples is required. More recently an automated and enclosed blood cell counting, Celldyn Sapphire has been introduced. In this study the performance of the Flow cytometer EPICS XL as a reference method for analysis of CD3+, CD4+ and CD8 T-lymphocytes was evaluated with blood from 40 individual?s samples.

Affärsänglarnas verksamhet är emellertid fortfarande relativt outforskat. Affärsänglar definieras som privatpersoner vilka investerar eget kapital i form av kunskap och pengar i företag genom ett aktivt eller passivt deltagande.

Abstract The aim was to see how burn victims experience their situation and if they feel suffering. Then it is discussed against different perspectives of suffering. The problems were ?How does a burn victim experience their situation??, ?Does a burn victim suffer?? and ? How does the attitude inflect the suffering?? To find the answers, the authors made a literature review in which already published interviews from ordinary papers were used. In the result, the authors used the individual?s own words.

To reduce emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologieshave been developed. Chemical Looping Combustion (CLC) is a CO2 capture technologywith the CCS framework, and at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg,Sweden, a 100 kW chemical looping combustor has been built.This project aimed to investigate to what degree air can replace helium as the uidizinggas for uid dynamical studies in a CLC cold ow model of the above mentioned 100 kWfacility. Experiments were performed using air and helium separately as uidizing gas andpressure data were obtained, which formed the basis for the comparison. The project alsoaimed to investigate uid dynamics in the uidized bed and study when the risk of sluggingoccuring was greatest. The results were presented in the form of figures and tables dividedinto pressure, concentration and standard deviation of the pressure.The results obtained showed that air as uidizing gas did not create the same uid dynamicsas helium over the entire fuel reactor.

Examensarbetet går ut på att undersöka konceptet Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) och föreslå olika lösningar beroende på företagets informationssäkerhetskrav. För att förstå konceptet BYOD behövs först en inblick i hur ett policybaserat system fungerar. Today there is an ongoing debate in Sweden concerning the care of older people. The main focus in the debate is that there is cut down on personnel and resources in the care of the elderly. We have focused on the Kalmar region, since our intention is not to compare with other regions.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine if the school's democracy project is successful. The objective is examined in relation to two specific questions. The first question is whether students, after completing their studies in civics A, understand the relationship between the concepts of human rights and democracy. The second is if the students understood the concepts of practical significance and impact on society and the individual. Variation theory comes from the phenomenographic theories and is central to this work. The approach to learning, in this essay, is a change in how a person experiences, understands or perceives a phenomenon. Variation theory focuses on a learning object and contextualization sees as crucial to how the individual perceives the object.The study is based on a quantitative research method in the form of a survey at a secondary school. A number of students may respond to valuation questions about how they perceive democracy and human rights in practical situations. The results are related to curriculum goals.The results of the study is not positive in relation to curriculum objectives, where many students respond negatively to questions..
