Sweden has long been nonaligned in peace with the aim to remain neutral in the event of an outbreak of war. Building confidence for this neutrality was important for Sweden during the Cold War. This placed high demands on the Swedish Navy to detect and repel violations of Swedish territorial waters. The archives, which contain the secret reports on the violations that occurred during the 1960s, have recently been opened up.The purpose of this essay is to study how the incidents that took place in Swedish territorial waters in the 1960s were managed and to examine if the handling of them was different depending on whether they were caused by the east or west side. Furthermore, the aim is also to try to categorize and interpret these measures from the two pairs of concepts of deterrence and reassurance and integration and screening.In making it possible to answer the questions, all the reports - 66 altogether - which refers to the incidents which occurred during the years 1962 through 1969, have been studied.

This is an essay about the political development of Iraq after the overthrow of the Baath regime by the coalition forces in 2003. Almost seven years later, the political scene is still characterised by chaos, even though the country entered a new phase with the adoption of democratic thinking and a new openness to the world. The unstable political situation is a product of inter-ethnic conflict and the interference by neighbouring countries. Iraq is up against two formidable tasks ? building democracy and building a nation.

In December 22, 2010, the hockey clubs AIK and Djurgården played against each other in front of an audience of more than 11 000 people in Ericsson Globe Arena, Stockholm. Although it was one of the biggest games of the year, afterwards no one was talking about the actual game on the ice. The reason; several times during the game, hooligans from both sides started big quarrels and the hockey dome felt more like a war scene than a place for a hockey game. From a branding point of view, and along with similar incidents from the past, the night in December did not create a good situation for AIK and their image.  Therefore, in this essay I want to investigate how AIK communicated through the crisis. I also want to evaluate whether their communication was good or bad from the perspective of different crisis communication theories.The essay?s research questions are:How did media describe the crisis and AIK´s part in it?What effect did AIK´s previous history of similar problem have on the ongoing crisis?How did AIK communicate through the crisis?How was AIK´s image affected by the crisis?What did AIK do well/what could AIK have done better?To be able to answer these questions, several news articles from the sports paper ?Hockeyexpressen? has been analyzed as well as a text from AIK itself.

The essay depicts the opposite views of the director and an actor during the filming of a specific scene in a feature film. The actor feels that he is not being listened to. This leads to unforeseen consequences for the director, as the actor no longer wishes to take part in the marketing of the film prior to its opening night. Everything is seen from the director?s point of view, she is working in a film world dominated by men.Questions are being asked if the director?s instructions are clear enough or if the actor, fearing getting lost, is mixing up his own feelings with those of the character he is portraying? What happens to the collaboration and how does it affect the rest of the team and the completion of the production? The director is also the producer.

Natural disasters are becoming more common due to climate change and it is important to adapt the society and its infrastructure to withstand events such as extreme rainfall. Precipitation is an important climatic factor affecting the transport and annually generates the cost of millions in damages, over the past 40 years heavy rain has increased and will continue to increase in the future. The extreme rainfall that occurred in Kramfors municipality in September 2013 led to flooding and destroyed several roads, including highway 90, which recently both had been rebuilt and given a new stretch of road. Extreme rainfall had also occurred in the municipality earlier.  The aim of the thesis was to examine how the Swedish Transport Administration handles new knowledge gained after natural disasters and how this is used in the planning of new roads.

The main part of this work is focused on the era called ?The Folk Music Vogue?, which was the era when my informants were in the limelight on the Swedish fiddler scene of the 70s.Our music culture is constantly lying under the change of progress and I find it interesting to reflect how these kinds of changes are affecting the role of the musician.In this essay I am reflecting on the different perspectives of the musicianship according to my informants and how they both are referring to their role as musicians. The purpose is further on to see how they have been relating to the change of progress on the field of the Swedish folk music during the 70s and up to this date. Throughout interviews with the informants I am analyzing their personal relationship to their life as folk musicians.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka vilken funktion och betydelse kroppen har i första säsongen av CSI: Crime Scenen Investigation (CBS, 2000-). Detta eftersom det kan ge en ökad förståelse för de föreställningar som omgärdar kroppen i vår kultur idag. Författaren gör närläsningar av analysobjektet som relateras till relevant litteratur, såväl som tidigare praktiker och representationer av kroppslighet.I den första delen undersöker författaren vilken roll kroppen spelar i utredningsarbetets sökande efter en säker sanning. Författaren konstaterar att utredarna använder sig av en kroppslig utredningsteknik och att kroppen dessutom ses som en privilegierad form av bevis, vars tillgänglighet ökar med hjälp av obduktionsförfarandet och olika teknologiska hjälpmedel. Vidare ifrågasätter författaren hur långsökta slutsatser om individen dras från kroppen.

Det finns idag många verksamheter där människor tillsammans med befintlig teknik bildar komplexa system som ska samverka på ett effektivt men ändå säkert sätt. Trots verksamhetens höga säkerhetskrav kan en olycka eller incident ändå ske, och denna kan då bli föremål för en utredning för att hitta de bakomliggande orsakerna till händelsen. En olycksutredning ska resultera i åtgärdsförslag som bidrar till att liknande händelser inte sker igen och att säkerheten i systemet och verksamheten i stort förbättras. Det finns många olika teorier och metoder kring hur en utredning bör gå tillväga vad gäller händelseanalys och identifiering av brister i systemet, men processen att skapa och implementera åtgärdsförslagen är mindre utforskat.Denna studie är utförd på Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB (SKB) som ansvarar för att ta hand om och lagra det använda kärnbränslet från Sveriges kärnkraftverk. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur SKB arbetar vid olycksutredningar för att skapa åtgärdsförslag och implementera dessa, samt att belysa de svårigheter som kan upplevas med detta arbete.

Both the German and the Nordic power markets are seeing dramatically changed conditions due to an ongoing process of expanding the share of renewable production in the systems. For the German part this comes from heavy subsidies which have led to an explosive development in installed capacity of photovoltaic and wind based production. After the Fukushima incident it has been decided to shut down all Germanys nuclear plants. This capacity drop is however not of the same magnitude as the increase in renewables, but will impact the stability of the power system. The Nordic power system which already has a surplus of power sees an even further increase, coming mainly from construction of new nuclear plants in Finland and a general increase in wind farms.

Bakgrund Anestesisjukvården i Sverige upprätthåller en hög grad av patientsäkerhet. Trots detta innebär all komplex verksamhet risker. Nuvarande lagstiftning och ett förändrat synsätt mot ett systeminriktat, förebyggande patientsäkerhetsarbete stöder behovet av att undersöka förekomsten av latenta, okända risker.Syfte Syftet är att beskriva anestesisjuksköterskors erfarenheter av latenta patientsäkerhetsrisker i samband med anestesisjukvårdMetod Datainsamling skedde genom semistrukturerade intervjuer inspirerade av Critical incident method med tretton anestesisjuksköterskor på tre sjukhus i Sverige. Insamlad data bearbetades med innehållsanalys.Resultat Studien påvisade att latenta riskfaktorer förekommer inom anestesisjukvård och att intervjuer med anestesisjuksköterskor ger en möjlighet till att tydliggöra dessa faktorer. Huvudområdena för de latenta risker som framkom är - organisation, kommunikation, datorsystem/ dokumentation och medicinsk teknisk utrustning.

Populism has been an integral part of the Finnish political system since the late 1950's. At that time the Agrarian Populist Party, better known as The Rural Party, emerged and thrived for decades until the party financially broke down in the 1990's. Reemerging on the political scene as the True Finns, the party is more radical and more influential than ever, gaining enough support to be the third largest party of the 2011 parliamentary election. Sweden, Finland?s neighbor, in contrast has a history with very little populist presence or radical right populist parties (RRP-parties).

När en människa utsatts för en traumatisk händelse, sätts en psykisk reaktion igång. När reaktionen inte mattats av kan det leda till att individen utvecklar Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Denna studie fokuserade på vilka faktorer som ökar risken för PTSD samt vilka faktorer som har betydelse för omhändertagandet. Metoden som användes i denna studie var en systematisk litteraturstudie. Författarna började med en databassökning i Pubmed och Chinal.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka mansbildens förändring i reklamen under 1990-talet och början av 2000-talet. Därför vill vi undersöka om män exponeras på olika sätt i herrtidningen Magazine Café under perioden. Vi vill också se om vi kunde finna några tendenser i samhällsutvecklingen, som har påverkat mansbilden och om samhällsutvecklingen syns i reklamens framställning av männen. Vi kommer också att undersöka det senaste mansidealet, som kallas metrosexualitet och se om det avspeglas i det material vi valt att analysera. Några av de frågor som vi besvarar lyder:* Hur influerar medierna trender och livsstilar?* Hur exponeras män i bildreklam?* Finns det några samhällstendenser som man kan knyta till en eventuell förändring av exponeringen av män?Analysen har utförts genom en kvalitativ bildanalys.
