Catecholamines are stress hormones that are produced and released by a rare tumor called pheochromocytoma. This tumor can cause hypertension which if undiagnosed and untreated leads to death. Since good therapy is available, it is important to find the tumor in time. The most common way to diagnose the tumor is measurement of the biochemical markers; catecholamines and their metabolites, methylated catecholamines.After observation that almost all normetanephrine results for women were higher than the upper reference limit and therefore pathological, the accuracy of the present reference intervals was questioned. Therefore new reference intervals for both urinary catecholamines and methylated catecholamines were developed by analysis of 46 samples using HPLC.

In this report listed buildings, according to the Swedish Heritage Conservation Act, have been studied with a focus on cases where economical compensation has been given to the owner of the building and cases where the listing of the building has been appealed by the owner. In order for a building to become listed it needs to be particularly valuable from a cultural and historical standpoint. The listed buildings are protected through a list of regulations that determines which parts of the building can or cannot be changed, what methods and materials should be used for changes and repairs, and how the building should be maintained. These regulations should as far as possible be formulated in agreement with the owner, but a building can become listed against the owners will. To decrease the damage this causes the owner he can in some cases have the right to economical compensation. There is also a possibility for the owner to appeal the listing of the building.

The objective of this study was to contribute with suggestions of nature preservation managements of selected forest objects of high nature values managed by the Swedish state-owned forest company Sveaskog. Many forests with high natural potential are relatively rare today due to modern forestry, where wood production is the main purpose. Sveaskog?s policy is to consider and to priority nature conservation on valuable objects. This assessment includes objects that in the future may develop into nature reserves.

As EU?s authority increased the number of lobbies in Brussels grew. Today there are approximately 15 000 lobbyists in Brussels. EU decisions and EU directives can have a huge impact on companies and organizations. They can however influence these decisions and directives through lobbying.

The aim of this study was to describe preferences of geographic direction of ten, oak-living epiphytic lichen species and how they responded to sun exposure, nearby bushes and trees, bark fissure depth and circumference. The frequency of every species was recorded in arcs of ten degrees around the tree at a height of 130 to 180 cm above the ground. An estimation of the amount of every species in every arc was also recorded. To analyse how the distribution of the lichen species responded to the different factors their concentration for every tree was plotted against the four factors. The distribution of Cliostomum corrugatum had a positive response to high sun exposure and a negative response to a thick layer of bushes and trees.

The main purpose of this essay is to investigate the legal position for employers concerning protection against what employees can express about one?s employer in social media.It may regard dissatisfaction concerning employment, tort or so-called whistleblowing. The spread through social media may be comprehensive and thus cause more damage to the employer.Employees within the public sector as well as in the private are protected by the liberty of speech, which is constitutional, even the protection of sources or the right to criticize can offer some protection. This gives the employees the possibility to widely express themselves in private social media as long as it can?t be classified as a violation, which per se is very rare.However, certain differences between the both sectors will be pointed out.There are still no constitutional rights regarding social media, but a grey area has emerged concerning the legal position.

Det a?r ett experimenterande arbete da?r former, mo?nster och den upplevda erfarenheten av dem har underso?kts ur ett fenomenologiskt perspektiv.

Syftet med detta arbete har varit att underso?ka hur musiker inom den afroamerikanska musiktraditionen ser pa? sitt musikaliska la?rande. Deltagarna har haft olika musikaliska bakgrunder sa? som la?tskrivare, frilansmusiker och instrumentalla?rare. Underso?kningen tar sin teoretiska utga?ngspunkt ur ett kulturpsykologsikt perspektiv da?r synen pa? la?rande ses som en process som utvecklas mellan individer i en lokalt ra?dande kultur.

Actinomycosis is a rare, deep-seated infection of the jaw of cattle that include the progressive enlargement of bone structures. It is caused by Actinomyces bovis, a gram-positive rod found as a normal commensal of the alimentary canal in otherwise healthy animals. This paper shortly describes Actinomyces bovis and its ability to cause "lumpy jaw" or actinomycosis in cattle. It will describe its pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and some clinical presentations. The incidence of symptomatic actinomycosis infection is quite low in Sweden today.

AbstractOne of the most common business models for agriculture is according to Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund (2010) that two or more agricultural companies merge and form a company together. To create strong owners and to be competitive there is a recognized need to create relationships between small firms according to Mazzarol , Mamouni Limnios and Reboud (2013). Oerleman and Assouline (2004) argues that it is possible to achieve success in agriculture by following certain strategic priorities.This paper examines why farmers choose to venture into collaboration and whether cooperation are linked to the strategies of the company. The paper also discusses the pros and cons of partnerships in agriculture. A qualitative comparative research design has been used to answer to the topics and we have interviewed respondents from four different agriculture companies, which have been active in some form of cooperation or collaboration.

In school, pupils learn to critically relate to sources of various texts. In the course of time they also learn how to make references and cite properly. Yet, alarming reports show increasing cheating and plagiarism in colleges and universities. Plagiarism prevention services are used today in Swedish high schools. We are questioning how this relates to the sociocultural perspective and curriculum view of imitation as a natural part of the learning process, communication and language.Material from depth interviews, with four teachers in the school subject Swedish about their theoretical and practical approach to students' writing process and writing development are used to deal with the issues of this thesis.

BakgrundTeoretisk utgångspunkt och bakgrund beskriver betydelsen av barnets self-efficacy, alltså barnets tro på sin egen förmåga och vilken betydelse den har för barnet i olika sammanhang. Bakgrunden tar även upp pedagogens viktiga roll för hur barnet ser på sig själv och sin för-måga.SyfteSyftet med vår undersökning är att ta reda på förskollärares uppfattningar om betydelsen av barnets self-efficacy och vad förskollärare tror påverkar barnets self-efficacy, i relation till tidigare forskning.MetodVi har använt oss av kvalitativ intervju som innebär att man vill ta reda på någons uppfatt-ning om ett visst ämne som respondenten har personlig kunskap om. Vi har intervjuar sex verksamma förskollärare om deras uppfattning om betydelsen av barnets self-efficacy i olika sammanhang.ResultatResultatet beskriver vad som framkom i våra intervjuer. Respondenterna beskriver bland annat pedagogens förhållningssätt som något som påverkar, samt andra betydelsefulla fakto-rer som påverkar barnets self-efficacy. I resultatet framkommer det att verksamma förskollä-rare är medvetna om att de påverkar barnets self-efficacy i olika sammanhang.

Tre stora handelsblock dominerar idag den svenska dagligvaruhandeln. För många av leverantörerna står samhandeln med dessa kedjor för en stor del av omsättningen. Rådande förutsättningar framkallar en sårbarhet hos leverantörerna, eftersom de oftast är beroende av ett fåtal större kunder. Ogynnsamma marknadsförhållanden har tvingat många svenska kött- och charkföretag att upphöra eller fusionera. För handelns del skapar denna struktur begränsade valmöjligheter.

Den problematiserar sva?righeten att dela spra?k kring dessa be- grepp inom olika musikpedagogiska inriktningar; utbildning till la?rare i musik, utbildning till musiker och utbildning till musikterapeut.Hur konstrueras mening i tal kring konst i musik, kring pedagogisk konsekvens av konstbegreppet i konstna?rlig utbildning samt det statliga uppdraget att utbilda i musik. I de samtal som ligger till grund fo?r studien, deltar verksamma pedagoger inom ho?gre musikutbildning vid tre olika la?rosa?ten.
