Utmaningen som företag och organisationer återkommande konfronteras med är problemet med att hitta lösningar för ostrukturerade problem med information som ofta är otillräcklig och dold i obearbetade datasamlingar. DSS har utvecklats för att i samarbete med det befintliga affärssystemet stödja beslutsprocesser i verksamheter genom att ta fram bästa möjliga beslutsunderlag. Denna studie undersöker hur ett modernt DSS kan stödja beslutsprocessen.För att undersöka hur beslutsprocessen stöds av ett modernt DSS har vi genomfört ett fältexperiment där experimentgruppen har utvärderat olika beslutsstödsfunktioner hos ett DSS system för nätpoker. Fördelen med att studera beslutsstöd i nätpokersammanhang är dels att poker har klart definierade beslutspunkter och dels att förloppet i beslutsprocessen dokumenteras i loggfiler vilka kan användas för att utvinna information. Vi har sammanställt resultaten från experimentet i en gemensam databas och använt oss av försökspersonernas användarupplevelser för att analysera utfallet.Resultatet av studien visar på att varje enskild DSS-funktion kan stödja informationssamlandet, utformning av handlingsalternativ, beslutsvalet och dess Implementation.

AbstractThis paper discusses how system development methods today support communication between system developers and their customers and end users. Today there are many system development methodologies with different aims and emphases. It is difficult, however, to find among these methods those who promote good and effective communication with customers because so many of these are very technically rooted and not as much directed towards the soft aspects of systems development - i.e. Human aspects. Our own experiences tells that a simple interview can be initialized without us having an idea what to ask the customer about or how to structure it up - nonetheless it?s done, but the outcome is just chance.

Voltage sag indices are a way of quantifying the performance of the power supply, as far as voltage sags are concerned. Indices can be defined for individual events, for individual sites, and for a whole system. A standard method for single-event methods is part of IEC standard 61000-4-30.This thesis emphasizes the importance of voltage sag indices and different methods for calculating three-phase voltage sag characteristics. Three-phase events measured in a medium network voltage over period of one month were analyzed, results examined and statistically evaluated. An algorithm for calculating voltage sag characteristics and indices was created in Matlab.

According to the national legislation concerning discrimination within labour law, it is prohibited to discriminate on the grounds of sex, ethnic belonging, religion or other religious belief, functional disability, sexual nature and part-time work or time-limited employment. The EC-law goes further and also prohibits discrimination on the ground of age. According to an EC-directive the member states must incorporate a national provision against age discrimination by the 2nd of December 2006 and the Swedish legislator is now in the progress to implement this into Swedish law.Even though national legislation does not contain any provision on the area, the EC-law directive has a certain influence at national law. Measures that are in breach of the purpose of the directive can for example not be taken. When the time for Implementation has expired, the directive has direct effect and can be referred to within the member states.

During the past years Building Information Modelling (BIM), which is a digital way to work, has begun to spread amongst the parts of the construction process. At the construction phase the larger companies has started using the new way to work. This expansion has not been developed amongst smaller companies leading to the purpose of this report, to investigate in which ways the smaller companies can implement BIM by changing their way to work. The thesis is delimited to work preperations with the objective to define how the work preperations should be structured to enable the Implementation of BIM. To achieve the objective of the report, information about the subject has been collected by interviews and literature studies.

Inledning: Under min praktik 2011 kom jag i kontakt med ett samordningsförbund FINSAM, som arbetar med rehabiliteringsfrågor. Det var också här som jag kom i kontakt med de olika samverkansprojekt som bedrivs inom regionen både inom Samordningsförbundet FINSAM samt ESF projekten. Syfte med studien var att se vad det är som har hänt när ett samverkansprojekt avslutas. Metoden är en litteraturstudie som jag sen har kopplat samman med det intervjuerna som jag har gjort. Intervjuerna spelades in på en diktafon på respektive arbetsplats samt via samtal i ett bokat grupprum på biblioteket.

This thesis aims to examine the possibility of understanding social change by using new institutionalism approaches on a specific case, The case, which describes the Implementation of new public management reform in the Swedish health care system, is analysed from two separate new institutionalismperspectives; the tool perspective and the symbol perspective. These approaches differ from one another in the sense that the first relies on a rational choice ontology, while the latter rather refers to a sociological tradition. In the analysis, causal explanations as well as aim related explanations are presented. Formative moments such as economic stagnation, non-socialist governments and ideological isomorfism are presented as important factors behind the reformation. By using the tool perspective, the motives of the idea spreading and reformation of the Swedish health care system, are connected to a strictly rationalbasis such as cost efficiency and quality improvements.

This bachelor thesis is based on interviews with staff from three Egyptian NGOs in Cairo during the spring of 2013. The study examines how three Egyptian NGOs discuss the woman?s situation within the Islamic legal discourse in the contemporary Egypt. The empiric material was analysed through a theoretical framework of gender in Islam, and a discussion of the concept of human rights laws in a local context.The respondents emphasize the societies gender stereotypes as obstacles in the discussion regarding women?s rights.

The purpose of this study is to analyse how the local governments have implanted the new public health policy, which Sweden adopted in April 2003. The new health policy stakes out a new direction for national public health policy. Instead of focusing on diseases the new public health policy focus in factors that determine health.Important factors to study are the role of central steering from the central government. The method used is a case study of three Swedish local governments. The main material used is interviews and different policy documents within the area of public health.The conclusion of the study shows that the local governments are fairly satisfied with the steering of public health policy by the central government.

Neighbourhood offices were established in the municipal of Lund by a decision in the municipal council 1999. During following years four offices opened in the surrounding villages; Veberöd, Genarp, Södra Sandby and Dalby. By using a goal oriented model and making interviews I study whether the offices reaches the goals of more effective service, developed IT-support, a stronger local democracy and a better feeling for service. The offices has improved the information to the citizens and efforts have been made to strengthen the local democracy but more complex matters can not be handled at the offices today, which is a disappointment for many involved.To explain the result of the evaluation I use Vedungs ?A general theory of public efforts result?.

Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) är en routingteknik som blir allt vanligare i dagens nätverk. Vid Implementation av MPLS i nätverk är det grundläggande att hårdvaran har tillräckligt hög prestanda för att hantera tekniken. Om så inte är fallet kan det leda till negativa konsekvenser såsom paketförluster eller i värsta fall att routern havererar. Syftet med arbetet var att ta reda på hur processorbelastningen på en router skiljer sig när MPLS var implementerat jämfört med traditionell IP-routing. Routingprotokollen BGP, OSPF och RIP användes tillsammans med de olika routingteknikerna för att se vilket av dessa som krävde minst processorkraft.För att ta reda på hur processorbelastningen påverkades skapades en experimentmiljö.
